Michael - The Great Album Debate

Why won't any believer even attempt to explain the presence of JM's vocal tics, vibrato etc on these tracks?

It's been explained to you countless times, but I have the feeling you don't even READ other people's messages.

You keep talking about that darn "snort". Gee, so two singers with similar voices, singing similar songs in similar ways, make a similar mistake. Wow, that's gotta be a huge conspiracy. Never mind all of the OTHER, major facts that clearly show it couldn't be an impersonator : this small, insignificant, coincidental detail invalidates all reality!

As for other similarities you hear : of course there will be similarities between MJ and a man with an amazingly similar voice who tries to imitate MJ's singing style. Most of those similarities are so subtle anyway that they have more to do with how you listen to the tracks than with what's actually on the tracks.

Don't you understand that you went out actively looking for something -- anything -- that could reinforce your opinion, so of course, you found something. But the fact that what you found is ALL that you could find shows your thesis to be wrong in the first place. If this huge fraud really had taken place, you would have a LOT more exhibits in your anti-Cascio file than "snorts" and Web comparisons of 2-second files.

Well, in my opinion he doesn't sound amazingly similiar. Yes, it is similiar. But if it would be AMAZINGLY, I doubt there would be any conspiracy around here, cause he would sound like Michael. But there is conspiracy. Why? Cause he doesn't sound like MJ.

And vocals on Michael album titled as Michael Jackson sounds just like Jason Malachi. What to make out of it?

You’re contradicting yourself here.

Let me put it this way : do you agree that the singer on the Cascio tracks sounds similar, yet not identical to MJ?

You do understand of course that people are doubting the songs for lots of reasons other than the tiny tiny snort thing? Right? And one of the things that we are doubting the songs is not because of similarities between MJ and Malachi's voice but because of differences between MJ's singing voice and the person's who sing on the Cascio songs?

Trying to reduce our justified doubts on just a snoring thing just shows that you actually don't have any idea on why this debate is going on for so long and that it is in fact you the one who is not reading other people's messages.

^^ @teli-mj...I love your posts...You're always straight to the point...you always 'teli like it is'...

I know, I'm lame :D

My first post ever on this subject on Maxjax:

To quote Marvin Gay: “Michael will never lose the quality that separates the merely sentimental from the truly heartfelt. It’s rooted in the blues, and no matter what genre Michael is singing, that boy’s got the blues.”
And you even can have 'the same' voice, but you're still different people. And that shows.

'Don't walk away':

Found this on someone's blog. I think she copied below review. No idea from who it is, but I totally agree. Nuance and conviction, that's what I miss on these songs.

"With a stripped-down, blues-tinged soul, Jackson articulates its emotion with nuance and conviction.
“Don’t Walk Away,” he pleads. “See I just cant find the right way to say/ I try but all my pain gets in the way.” Later in the song, he laments all his dreams being broken but feels helpless to do anything about it. Jackson brilliantly captures the emptiness and anguish of the lyrics in his vocal.

Brilliantly captures.........words that really can't be said about the singer on the Cascio songs, as far as I'm concerned. If the singer brilliantly captured any of the lyrics, I would've felt something.

@Arklove:" you always 'teli like it is'"...buuuaaaahhh, lmao.

Yeah to me they sound similiar. Just as similiar as Jean Walker tries to imitate Michael. But I don't hear Michael in them unfortunately.

Void of soul...That's exactly how I feel...It was never just about WHAT the voice sounds like, it's about the delivery and the soul that Michael has always shown, whether it be on a record, or live, singing on Oprah, random singing on the street...Michael was an all-encompassing musician and the voice in the Cascio songs does not convince me that he's been singing since he was a little boy. As Michael's said before, 'You can't teach that, you can't teach it..It has to come from up above'...

BUMPER, Hey! How are ya? Are you trying to point out the Guests which means maybe people are finally going to be finding this thread on search engines, etc.??? That'd be nice.

Hi Aniram! Long time no see, welcome back.

To answer your question, actually no. I am rather intrigued why there are 40-ish fewers and a few minutes later it gets down to 2 or 3 viewers.

I noticed that, too, because when I was on here earlier there were two guests and now there are four. However, when you posted that it was a little bit earlier...

I tried searching some of those tags in google and see if I get the thread as a result and I didn't see it... I tried adding Michael Jackson to the end of them... no luck. Didn't try them all, though. I just think it'd be cool if someone is searching on conspiracies, fake things, fraud, Jason Malachi, Michael, etc. and stumble on this thread.

For a while now I guess I've felt a little helpless about the situation. I don't know what I can do so I've kind of just lurked here every now and then...

I listened to Breaking News for the first time in a long time last night, actually wanting to hear the production and maybe enjoy it, but I got close to that same feeling I got when I first heard it. I just said to myself, "There's just no way... :(" and turned it off immediately after about the third time he said "Michael Jackson".

Oh and thanks for welcoming me back. :) I do try to check up on the thread every day! Working a lot of hours these days and a lot of things going on, but I still love Michael and hate to see this unsolved still.

You really have to call him a "Prick" ?
What has he done to you or anyone to deserve that ?

See just like 05.

@OnirMJ I can't believe anyone will think it's not Michael Jackson.

I strongly believe, based on the overwhelming evidence in the songs themselves, that he is, without a doubt, the vocalist on these tracks. He has insulted and exploited Michael's memory, legacy and his fans. So I will call him whatever I like as I believe it is more than justified.

And it is absolutely nothing like 2005.

Oh, and while we are on the subject of attacking people who don't deserve it, how do you justify these comments?

Once again Katy Perry (The Whore) is desperate for a #1 by selling her single "The One That Got Away" for only $0.69 to be the only artist who got 6 singles? to #1 on the charts from 1 album. WE MUST STOP THIS BITCH RIGHT NOW !

Pot. Kettle. Black.

Once again you've categorically failed to answer the questions or even understand the issue. Let's start with the snorts. The "snort" in question can not be found in any Michael Jackson recording ever. Proper song, demo, live recording etc. It is found numerous times in the Cascio tracks. The same "snort" is also found all over Jason's songs. The vibrato. Same. In fact, let's just focus on the vibrato for now. Jason has a very shaky vibrato. We know it is natural because he does it live. Michael has a very controlled vibrato. The Cascio vocalist has a very shaky vibrato that is strikingly similar to Jason Malachi. It isn't, contrary to what Teddy Riley says, anything to with the melodyne that he applied as it can be found on all the songs, including the 9 he didn't work on as well as the earlier versions of the ones he did. We also know it can't be the equipment or environment as we have other vocals from the same equipment and time that sound fine. So how do you explain the alien vibrato, that is incredibly similar, nay identical, to JM? Can you identify the specific "processing" technique that may cause this, be it at the Cascio end or after the fact? Can you then show examples to back this up?

And for the last time, I, we. did not go out actively looking for these discrepancies. I picked up on them straight way before knowing anything of this controversy. We want to hear Michael. In fact, I think most of us have been actively looking for something that would change our opinion and prove it is Michael to end this nightmare. You are making sweeping character judgements instead of answering the questions at hand. So I will thank you not to judge why I have my opinion, because you are spectacularly wrong, and address the issue at hand. For so many hardcore fans to not hear Michael, but hear Jason, then clearly the problem lie with the songs and not the fans. So stop trying to pass the buck to us.

So your attacking him without no proof ?

And my comments if you would have read my Facebook you would know I called her a "Musical whore" not as herself so you should stop stalking my other networks and just read my Facebook posts where I explained it all. :)

"Monster
(ah-ah, say you wanna be a star)
He's a monster
(say you wanna go far)
He's an animal
(Why do you keep stalking me)"

Maybe we, doubters are all nutcases...

Look at for example Arklove, she's not right in her mind. Then, when you read Love Is Magical comments, you feel she's completely off the wall. Not to mention Socav's nonsense. And StellaJackson's comments are all but logical. As far as TNA is concerned, he's never straight to the point. Regarding AZSummergirl, it's obvious she's not a real fan. Jesta, Aniram, Samhabib, MikeKingJ, MJJLatvia, Lucilla, Qbee, Ginvid, Chamife, BillieJanplxv, Claudionia, and many, many, more here, we're actually all loco, nuts, cuckoo... and we are all psychologically influenced that we hear JM more than MJ. As far as I am concerned, I am so nuts that I don't even know what I am talking about and even less what I hear. We doubters are lame, yeah! :D
