Guys. I have an idea, i think i could explain the vibrato on the cascio songs. Im not sure, it may take a bit. But i think im on to something. But i need michael jackson acapellas.

some sort of tremolo plugin? and I think people said the acapellas are available on youtube.

This is the reason why I think Jean Walker is the closes MJ sound alike there is:

Or Listen to those lower tones. What a lucky dude.

^ Oh yeah...definitely the lower tones...There are some parts and notes that he hits that sound SO close to Michael, it's actually eerie..And then there are times he sounds so off-key, it's hard to believe that those other parts sound so much like Michael...it's weird...lol

It's not his natural voice though. He is always forcing his voice when trying to sound like Michael.

Nope, too much nasal to my ears (twymmf)

And hard time to hit higher notes for Butterflies.

But it's true that he's an amazing imitator.

Nasal because if you want to sound like Michael Jackson, you have to go very nasal.

And he isn't that good at the higher notes in MJ's songs. Thats why I mentioned the lower tones.

I don't think there are any better imitators out there. We have dom_uk who did the APWNN demo thing, he is great and all, but he always uses bad quality recordings (APWNN and HMH is two exepctions only)

For some sounds, but if you go a bit too much over, the soundalike is immediately given away. So in those cases they'd better paste in Michael's real voice, like they did in "Breaking News" and other Cascio tracks.

I think Dom is one of the best MJ soundalikes but his recordings tend to be poor quality. He fooled a lot of fans with his audios.

Also Marcus Joseph Williams sounds like Off the Wall Era MJ, people were fooled when someone uploaded his Girl is Mine cover as a 1979 demo.

Jean Walker has the voice but he needs to work on his tuning. MJ Williams has good pitch.

I wish this debate can end if only someone can prove that Michael sung or did not sing with creditable/scientific proof.

Creditable proof = A proffesional musicoligist

That's exactly what's bothering the doubters: why do we need a musicologist to tell us that we hear Michael? When we listen to the remaining 7 songs on the album we don't need a musicologist to tell us that we hear Michael. We know it's Michael.

Just as much as I know it IS Michael on those songs? =P

Because opinions are opinions and facts are facts.

Update: Ears can be fooled by processing, melodyne, etc so unless there's proof that it's not him why should people go against MJ's work when creditable/reliable people (Which some were actually there with him) are saying otherwise.

That's why believers want proof from doubters that it's not him since you guys are the ones boycotting and trying to bring sales down for MJ.

And video/audio of people comparing MJ to Jason Malachi does not prove anything unless it's the real raw demo which no one really has except MJJ estate and Sony.

Why? Because as far as I am concerned no musicologist is expert enough to recognize MJ's voice better than his fans who have been listening to Michael for decades on the daily basis. When an important number of MJ fans (no matter if that number is minority or majority) hear exactly the same (not Michael) without consulting each other and without knowing each other across the globe, then something IS wrong. I give more credit to the hardcore fans when it comes to MJ's music than to the musicologist whose job isn't actually voice recognition anyway.

a professional musicologist can only provide an opinion on what they hear, that is not fact, fact can only come from video or unaltered acapellas
A musicologist works on this and has the ability to hear things that we don't.

And your wrong facts also come from the people that were there with Michael Jackson on the studio since they were actually in his presence while he recorded.

Example: Saying no to that is like you telling your friend that his mom is not his mom he's like "but she is" then your like "nope your wrong she's not".
