guys, do not buy into what Ivy just said... all that is well and good if we used anything related to jab me music... which we did not. Unless; Ivy... you concur that "Mamacita" must be a product of Jason and James Porte (Aka Jab Me Music?)

The video is a parody of teddy riley, jason...and cascio. None of the items used within this video have any affiliation to jab me music that could result in a valid and substanciated "copyright" claim.

If it was teddy rileys people - different story
if it was jasons people - different story (sorta)
same for cascio.

Ivy, wake up and smell reality.

JAB ME MUSIC...HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TEDDY RILEY

JAB ME MUSIC... HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH JASON MALACHI (APPARENTLY... BUT THIS VIDEO SEEMS TO SUGGEST OTHERWISE...WITH THE COPYRIGHT CLAIM).

I am not arguing that the video is somewhat ... hurtful to some people... if taken too seriously; what i am arguing is that the people who requested the removal have no reason to do so... UNLESS THEY ARE AFFILIATED TO JASON.
 
what makes you think that "jab me music" is porte only and do not include Eddie?

angelikson can be his production company and jab me music could be his publishing company. Remember Mijac versus MJJ Productions?

Look to the album credits songs are publishing by Mijac and Jab me? So Michael's estate and James Porte is releasing them and not Cascio's? In my opinion it's more likely that Jab me is the publishing company that consists of both Cascio and Porte

JAB ME MUSIC = James Porte's music company (Who has 0 referrence in the video)

If they have issued a copyright claim on this item - this means they must be claiming against the music used; which was MAMACITA BY JASON MALACHI.

now.. what does that tell you?

I haven't viewed the video yet. But, if I go by Cartman's words that only Mamacita is used in the video, then why would Jab Me ask to remove Jason's music, assuming there is no relationship between Eddie and Jason.

let's assume Jab Me is the publishing company for Angelikson and there is no relationship between Jason and Eddie. Then, why would Jab Me remove Jason's music?

I mean I don't see Sony/ATV or Mijac going all over youtube to remove anything related to Jason Malachi.

Ivy, it is my understanding that Jab Me Music is James Porte only... as i have seen them credited for "think about you" by luthur vandross... a song that porte wrote and i think helped produce for luthur.

Regardless of publishing companies... yadda yadda yadda... they have no copyright claim over the item. They issued a copyright claim, not a defamation claim. You can report a clip for defamation on youtube...and it will be removed due to a "defamation claim" not a copyright claim... thus rendering your point invalid.

Youtube answers copyright claims faster than defamation claims. If it's Eddie's publishing company he can simply file a copyright claim for his picture used in that video. Yes pictures are copyrighted as well.

utter nonsense.

Youtube remove the item and give you the option to appeal against it. They remove it swiftly either way... to protect themselves from counter claims, and to protect their users and the people who may be affected by uploads.

Stop looking for excuses... its not gonna happen.

guys, there is no need to make excuses to convince Ivy.... the truth is right there, in black and white.... she can argue all she wants about them removing it because it makes fun of people etc etc... but the truth is... jab me music have no copyright claim over that video... unless they are involved directly in jasons music... which thus reenforces what we already KNOW.

if it was because of defamation (even tho there is nothing defamatory towards jab me music) the video would be removed because of "DEFAMATION" not because of "COPYRIGHT".

These representative companies have a lot more power than you give them credit for. Heard of Web Sheriff?

Like I said it's semi- automatic. First it needs to be complained about once and then the contents are important. For example a video having a picture of Eddie saying positive things and a video saying negative things wouldn't be the same thing. There's a huge difference between fair use and positive message versus malicious falsehood.

Can someone explain to me why the Cascio songs labeled as Jason Malachi are taken down from youtube within minutes and not Jason's songs labeled as Michael Jackson?

funny because youtube doesn't have a "defamation" report system. :) in case of defamation you can either send them a legal cease and desist or flag the video as inappropriate and hope that they would evaluate and delete it.

Copyright however has to be resolved in 48 hours or less and if you already have established your credentials (As a legit representative) it would be faster.

So they made a "copyright" claim because it's faster and easier. and like I said if you ever made a copyright claim you can make it for audio only, video only and both. So how can you know what they based their complaint on? If they only made the complaint for the video (picture used) than it would have nothing to do with Jason's song.

again if you don't agree appeal to youtube :)
