Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

This thread shouldn't be in the Conspiracy Section anymore.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Awww! I didn't feel good coming into this thread today. It didn't make me smile. Such a change from a few months ago.

Well, goodbye all!

Goodbye

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

"Michael being in parts of the song", just doesn't make any sense at all. Ad libs, yes, but parts? Jason doing a few lines, Michael doing a few lines?

Image if MJ and Jason made music together where they made us guess who is singing lol.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Why is nothing ever simple and easy in Michael Jackson's world? I wouldn't have complaints if it was only his music, but why did his life and death have to be so complicated!? This situation should not exist!!! I'm not even sure how we're all here now!

OT: Should I go to Vegas for Christmas, for the IMMORTAL World Tour? Or should I wait for it to maybe come to the UK?

No but in all honesty, I'm glad to see that things are being sorted out amongst fans, I'm glad that there's no more of that: "Your an idiot because you don't hear this, or that." or "You're not a real MJ fan because you believe/don't believe this and that" and stuff like that.

This is why I wish I was born in the 80s rather than the 90s, so many options are blocked to me due to my age!!!... Oh well, I'll probably enjoy it more in 2013. It would make a great vacation once I've left college!

HUGS!!!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Mixing parts of 2 different parts would be impossible.

Double tracking and vocalign with same or different voices is an established technique and experts can overcome the chorus effect.

Watch this one. Two distinctive voices are combined to create one voice listen to the combined one at 1:20 mark. You can see visually can see the difference in all tracks and how it is even possible to correct for time difference. At the second play (1:30) when comparing it to the first track you can see that the speak time is also reduced.

Believe me you would know, for sure, if it were 2 voiced singing alternate lines. Don't insult your own intelligence by thinking its a plausible theory! :flowers:

Where did I say 2 voice singing alternate lines? Double track is totally different thing.

But even after using that technique you would be able to HEAR the difference in Michael's voice and then Jason's voice.

and if you watched and understood that simple video you'll see that for an expert it's possible to combine two voices (let's say Michael and Jason) to come up with ONE combined voice that would sound a mixture of Michael and Jason. and wouldn't that nicely explain why some parts sound like Michael and some don't and why some people hear Michael and some hear Jason?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

i probably will go to vegas in 2013 as well. don't think i can make it this year; unless, i cancel my summer vacation.

So basically is your logical thinking telling you that at the same time the reason they decided to release the Cascio tracks was because they were the most complete ones (according to their own claims) and at the same time apparently the most processed ones? That logic is purely illogical.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Damn, I have to be 21 to gamble in Nevada! Well as least I'll still be able to enjoy the show. While I would hold out for a UK run, the fact that it ends in 2012 and the residency starts in 2013 makes me think that there'll be a fairly cramped world tour. Besides, I'd still go to Vegas just for the memorabilia!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Thats very nice Ivy.
But even after using that technique you would be able to HEAR the difference in Michael's voice and then Jason's voice.

But of course, maybe you cannot hear that difference which is why we have this 600page thread.

My tickets for the Immortal show are in November this year...It's coming up fast! But I'd love to go to Vegas to see the show...:D

My stolen tickets for the Mortal Kombat show are in November this year...It's coming up slowly! Butt! I wouldn't love to go to Vegas to see the fight...:D I'm totally insane

Don't eat any self picked mushrooms again please.

explain complete to me. Is it complete because Michael sang the whole song? Now this processing is something different then being complete.

Simply put Michael is one of the artists that did his own harmonies. Similarly for any artist recording they would do multiple takes in different registers (high , lows) and this would be all added to the finished song.

So assume they had one complete one register vocal track. How are they going to create the harmonies? Stacking, overlay, over dub, double tracking is production techniques , they are not processing techniques.

Thank you for giving me flowers after insulting my ears and intelligence. That made it all acceptable and respectful.

Don't eat any of my self picked mushrooms again please. I feel myself slipping back into sanity again.

Ok, fine, I'll leave the rest for you ;)

You're Welcome Ivy ;)

And I'll repeat, If they did indeed use 2 voices (being MJ + Jm), you would hear the difference in the voices.

Cascio would have effectively made his own comparison audio for us to analyse. Pentum, Kapital and TPI would be free agents.

Maybe thats why he settled to have Jason sing the whole song instead ;)

Where did I say 2 voice singing alternate lines? Double track is totally different thing.

My post wasn't directed at your comments to begin with Ivy, it was directed to the person's post above mine.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Oh please let's not play with words. Complete means that you don't need much processing whatsoever. Complete also means that even if you do hellova processing you can still recognize Michael's voice. Neither of the two cases apply to the Cascio tracks which are both processed and possessing unrecognizable voice.

Simply put Michael is one of the artists that did his own harmonies. Similarly for any artist recording they would do multiple takes in different registers (high , lows) and this would be all added to the finished song.

Where are those harmonies? On what support had they been stored? Where are the a cappellas? Why do all the Cascio tracks have the same unMichael harmony? And the list goes down.

So assume they had one complete one register vocal track. How are they going to create the harmonies? Stacking, overlay, over dub, double tracking is production techniques , they are not processing techniques.

All in all, whatever they did, none of the tracks sound Michael. So, ultimately none of them can ever be considered as the MOST COMPELTE ones! So again, let's not play with words and excuses.

No one ever should doubt Michael's tracks. Here is a fact that we have - DOUBT with a big D. It is undeniable.

Be careful with those, Arklove! I have hay fever, and I don't want to sneeze over everyone!!

Here, Ivy! You can have my compliment-cupcakes! You're a fantastic person!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Over and under, whenever they didn't, all or none of the tracks sound Michael. So, ultimately some of them can never be considered as the LEAST COMPELTE ones! So again, let's play with words and excuses because as you can tell from my post, it's fun and exciting and often confusing.

Everyone should doubt Michael's tracks. Where is a fact that we think we have - DOUBT with a big Z. I'm in denial .

Umm....mushrooms are good, aren't they?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

see that wasn't a play with words, I simply wrote my overall understanding. I know you reject Teddy but he said that Michael only sang one verse and a chorus of most songs. Hollywood Tonight is missing a bridge. Hold my Hand has not enough Mj parts for my taste. Some songs have same verse repeated. So I took "complete" as the amount of the song that he actually sang.

Again going with what Teddy said and him saying HT needed minimal processing and Cascio songs needed more , I don't think "complete" equals to "no processing needed". If they used "finished" then I would have thought "less processing".

No one ever should doubt Michael's tracks. Here is a fact that we have - DOUBT with a big D. It is undeniable.

That I wholeheartedly agree. I've been saying that for days now.

Wouldn't be more logical to accept the fact that what makes sense is that the Cascio tracks ARE indeed the most complete ones and not THAT processed, but purely sung by someone else?
