Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

That's why he's such a mega star. Who else can make a grown ass man faint in his presense? Both men and women find him attrative. People of all race find him attrative. He had universal appeal.

I remember reading this from Sam's FB.

"Mom, I'm not gay. But, I'm in love with a man." :lmao:

bahahahaha...yeah, I know..everytime I read that I just :lmao: Oh, silly Sam...but it's so true lol

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

So, Sony didn't need the Estate's approval?

Yes they did. Bio's info is a bit inaccurate, one half of the named executors wanted some songs off the album, with the other wanting them included. The Estate didn't make any motion to remove the songs from the album because they were deadlocked on what to do.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I agree, every time I've heard him other than these supposed Cascio tracks, he has sounded like a perfect angel to me.

If he's sounded like a perfect angel to you in every track BESIDES the cascio tracks, isn't that a huge red flag?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

:D Obviously.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Aniram, you know deep down it ain't MJ...Just admit it :D

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Something that just really strikes me about the oddness of the vibrato in the Cascio tracks is how often it occurs and how exaggerated it is. It seems like way too much to me. We can all probably sing these songs with less goaty/laughy vibrato. I don't get why it is. I have even heard Jason sing without it and his doesn't seem as bad as in these songs.

So what the hell? Why is it so bad? And obvious? I don't get it.

and some are saying the vocals on the Cascio tracks are MJ at his finest... sorry, i just can't help.

^^ :lmao:

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

MJ at his finest, that's got to be a joke. What the hell? Maybe the quality of the songs in terms of melody but not the vocal takes.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Authenticity issue aside, just look at the song's quality, it's known to us that these songs are total cut and paste and copy and paste jobs. As many as 20 different takes are used to pasted together for a song. I think that's why many of us do not feel the sparks at all. This is a horrible way of making music.

The thing is though, who else but us in the debate thread really know about what has been done to these songs? That's why you still see defense of these songs by a lot of believers, because they don't know the degree to which these songs have been massacred. But nobody will listen to us, the 'conspiracy theorists'

Like we've said so many times, even IF you believe these songs are Michael, how can anyone defend the disgusting way in which these songs have been screwed with? It's not music, it's not a voice, it's a robotic, copy-pasted mess.....Who the hell decided Michael deserved that?

i know right. it's frustrating. we've been given such a bad name. people don't visit this thread, imho, one of the most intriguing thread in this forum, because they feel like this thread is for troublemakers who like to argue. people don't know we actually get along despite our different opinions. people don't know we engage in very open debate. people don't know we learn from both sides.

if one is patient enough to go over all 600 pages, one can learn so much in the study of Michael Jackson.

this thread is interesting because no one asks anyone to shut up if a less-than-favorable opinion is expressed.

It's music, by todays standards. Michael Jackson isn't exempt from money hungry label execs who based on past success, believe songs like that are profitable.

No one tells anyone to shut up but where have Pentum, Kapital, sam, and Bumper gone?

It's a standard set by those hungry label executives that i don't accept.

Michael Jackson can be exempt if all of us raise our concerns and let our voice be heard. However, it's so much more difficult to act on it becasue so many are just happy to have new materials (not directing at you) and they just accept whatever given to us by Sony.

We never ever compare Michael Jackson to the pop acts thesedays. Why do we subject Michael's arts to today's standard?

BTW, I meant to say this a long time ago, but keep forgetting. I love your siggy. Both Elizabeth and Michael look fabulous.

Pentum and Kapital are banned indefinitely as intructed by Sony. They can't even view this thread now as this thread is not open to visitor.

Sam is blocked from this sub-forum.

Bumper may be taking a break.

Yea, I see your point.

And thanks, one of my favorite images from PHM and both look adorable together.

I have found out who the true singer is on the casico tracks. I have a picture of him recording them in the studio! Brace yourselves!

Okay that makes a lot more sense. I knew it sounded a lot more goaty/laughy than Jason..

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

@analogue i should sue you for damages, i was drinking hot tea when i looked at that picture and i pretty much almost burned myself. omg, i can't stop laughing, i think i'm a steal that picture and save it forever and ever :lmao:

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

You're going to risk further damages by saving the picture?! Don't do it! You might burn your whole body away!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I sent some of the general concerns regarding this whole Cascio thing to the MJ online team, asking them if they are in fact aware that the whole thing is causing a large split amongst fans, that some people have a hard time believing that statement from when BN was debuted and that they should properly address it again (adding that we would love for it to be Michael but need more than just a statement telling us about proof), that a lot of people on both sides agree that there shouldn't be more Cascio tracks on future albums too and if they had any plans to do that very thing.

I got this response:

So we're definitely making enough noise for the Estate to notice, but it seems a bit like they're gonna wait and see how long this drags out before making any decisions on putting more on?

If anyone has more questions for them, feel free to post them and I will ask them.
Let's hope their "plans for future releases" don't contain the word "Cascio". :)

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Pentum! Dude! Welcome back!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Thanks! Need to go through some pages here, it really looks dead :/

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Pentum, you're back!!! I was meaning to ask you, is the "Original Version" of "Breaking News" that you posted on Twitter the John McClain version, an earlier, non-Teddy version, or the one that was originally streamed? I'm pretty curious.

Yeah, I know....Bumper's been gone for the last few days, and Sam's been blocked from this thread...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Omg... Omg... Pentum welcome back. I'm SCREAMING now... Yay....

This place is not the same without you.

BTW, I can't see the Estate's response.
