I've worked in the record industry on and off for over 10 years, no 'junior' would ever... and I mean EVER... be given the responsiblity to handle ANYTHING to do with ANY record companies biggest launch of the year. And even then, even if by the rarest of rarities that were to happen, there'd be a whole host of people overseeing the project. As if Michael Jackson's product manager would have NO interest in what the office junior is doing on the Michael Jackson website?!?

Your excuses have been pretty feeble for the last few months but this one takes the biscuit. Blaming an unknown office junior for the actions of a multinational, multimillion dollar company... did someone say 'far-fetched'???

If you actually read the post, you'd see I didn't say it was a junior who was working on the streaming of this album. I said it's a possibility, seeing as how this four year studio engineer major got an intern job as a technician for Island Def Jam, was I doing anything of the sort? No, but if my superior happened to not be around, guess who'd be in charge of handling certain things. But yea, that's totally implausible because Samhabib said so, and a mistake like streaming an alternate mix is totally out of the laws of logic and can never happen....Despite artists filing legal complaints for their music being accidentally and illegally streamed everyday, it totally just can't happen, ever, not in a million years can something be accidentally streamed.

No it's completely plausible that one person could upload a stream of a MICHAEL JACKSON song without Michael Jackson's product manager having any say in it because AnnieRUOKay says it is.

If you honestly think that ONE person could do ANYTHING on that scale at Sony you're sorely mistaken. It's completely delusional to think that one person has access to a few different streams, takes it upon themselves to make the choice of which stream to upload and then uploads it without consulting anyone. And that stream stays online for hour after hour without ANYONE having something to say.

Like I said, it's the most feeble excuse I've heard yet.

Even then, the vocals sounded absolutely identical. Even though you originally claimed there was a 'major' difference. There wasn't. Pentum posted the original stream and it was all but identical. No chance of him posting it again, unfortunately. Maybe Birchey might have a copy.

The stream was online for a day or two and then changed though? You say hour after hour as if they left it there for weeks. It's obvious someone took the time to notice the mistake and say "This is wrong" and had it changed.


These mistakes can happen, it's a part of life, dude.

Someone posted it online and it took DAYS for someone to notice there was a problem? Who are you trying to kid? Are you deliberately trying to insult my intelligence? It took DAYS to notice that the wrong stream was up??? DAYS????

Pitiful... absolutely pitiful. Even you couldn't believe that, SURELY!

seriously, guys, think about it, the album underperformed. the first posthumous of michael jackson. the first album from michael jackson in nine years hardly made any noise. it should be better.

like the cascio tracks or not, what do you think Sony can do to prevent this from happening again?

I've pre-ordered my game, despite not having Kinect... Yet. If you get it from HMV, you get a free microphone and a lyric book, so that sold me on it. Oh, and it has "Another Part of Me" as a bonus track.

yep. He told me about the theme /lyrics of the song , similarity / difference to TII "water" and mentioned copied adlibs, grunts and screams, etc. I had a pretty good idea that the song wasn't solely consisting of Heaven Can Wait adlib.

and you all took Birchey's word when the mentioned these songs and accepted them and repeated it , referenced it over and over again as "proof". You didn't need to hear the songs yourself. How is my taking his word and repeating it is any different than what you all did?

Birchey not only notified the Estate about the leaks - top points Birchey! - but also spent copious amount of time telling us about the leaks which he was in possession of. What separates his actions and Kapitals and Pentums??? He had the leaks. He listened to them. He told us all about them. Told us that the rest of the Cascio songs were fraudulent. Why did Sony not act against him but against Kapital and Pentum?

Annie is right. there's a tremendous difference between stopping a leak (when asked refusing to share it) and uploading / sharing links. That's the difference.

kopwatcher - my previous experience with music companies actually make me not so positive or hopeful about any change honestly. Simply put music companies are profit oriented organizations and if this album satisfied their profit goal I wouldn't personally expect any changes.

No 'WE' didn't all take his word as 'proof'. What were you saying about putting words in people's mouths? 'WE' didn't all take his word for it. And I wouldn't have been in a position to argue about the merits of a leaked snippet based on someone's verbal testimony.

I saw what he wrote. He's probably just sick of all his hard work being dashed in one fell swoop because Sony were able to point a finger and eliminate him from this board. Who can blame him?

this was already discussed, earlier int he thread. pentum did post the original bn, and the new one. they sound identical to me. good luck finding it, it's like 300 pages back lol. it IS in here though, i'm positive. he even compared it to the new one with like audio software. it's in other threads on this forum too, it's just going to take some searching. it sounding like JM has nothing to do with the "wrong mix"

Since this began a long line of people have made very sudden and radical changes of heart or have suddenly gone silent....michael would be disgusted by all this

Why do you think he hated Sony?

Sony would be VERY ill-advised trying to sue Michael Jackson fans. VERY ill-advised.
