Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I know but if Sony say something, what can Gaz do? Let fans release these snippets and get MJJC down.

Pentum and Kapital have done nothing wrong and we know that, but if Sony threatens to close down, then what can you do? Loose two members? Or the whole community?

This is not Gaz's choice, he HAD to otherwise he would be SUED by Sony! As it stands I think Gaz is letting Pentum talk to the people who sent this message.

You guys have just given me a scary scenario. So, bascially, this forum is at the mercy of Sony. Even many songs that are obtained illegally are leaked before with links to download share here, Sony did not carry out any litigation threatening. Now, Sony gets frustrated with people sharing links to download snippets, Sony threaten to sue if the members are not banned.

So, are we still okay to share remixes of STTR? Are we still able to share Stay and All I Need?

It's interesting that we haven't gotten a straight answer yet...Love is magical you've asked like, 3 times! lol

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

If SONY targeted Pentum and Kapital it is clear that they've been watching them closely not necessarily for their snippet postings (that's an excuse!), but because most probably for the tons of audio comparisons they made to prove Jason IS singing on those tracks! Instead of proving otherwise while watching Pentum and Kapital closely, they decided to demand Gaz to ban them for life?! How lame from SONY music! This is only a further proof that SONY have clearly been aware of the controversy --so called conspiracy-- and did nothing, absolutely nothing to prevent this; or at least post an official statement to clarify things. The Cascio tracks must be so hell of a fishy to make react a huge company such as SONY against two members Pentum and Kapital.

We must all stand united against this practice from SONY music! After what happened to Pentum and Kapital, how on earth can anyone defend those disgraceful Cascio tracks causing the split within MJ community.

The ones that should be banned from MJ life are people who authorized these Cascio songs to be on MJ's album.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I have to say it is a bit of a coincidence that they were the biggest posters of audio comparison videos.

It's alright....Bumper nailed it on the head, I'm thinking...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

So there's a conspiracy that these bannings were due to their participation in the album conspiracy?

Don't worry.. Sony will never make the whole MJJC down. This community is very profitable for them...

Another great one Bumper! :clapping:

Yes, I missed the entire drama of the rule change I guess? I always have my threads bookmarked, I rarely browse the actual forums. I'm too busy for that. I come here, read the last page or two, and move on.

And I apologize to the staff about that. Maybe I should check out the Twitter more often.

You have a blatant legal injustice in front of your eyes, and all of sudden legal experts who were defending the legitimity of SONY's actions get as mute as a fish.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

One day we will find out the truth even if it takes generations to dig it out.

I never ever have any conspiracy. It's not my choice that I'm being labelled as a conspiracy theorist. I asked valid questions that deserved to be answered.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I believe the truth is already out there and is generally accepted by the public: Michael Jackson sings 10 out of 10 songs on the Michael album. You're free to have your own opinion and conspiracy theory but I believe these songs are real MJ songs.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

So i guess what started in 2001 with Invincible , continued in 2010 with "Michael". So sad that Michael's estate doesn't seem to care for the mess that is going around Mike's legacy. I really don't think that those people really understand who Mike was or care about him or his legacy. I think that money is what is more important to them otherwise they wouldn't have perpimtted the fiasco with the album and its reliase. Shame on them for reducing Mike to the level of those youtube singers.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

It is rather curious, that Sony would personally ask for both Pentum and Kapital to be banned for posting links to leaked snippets, when other users are not asked to be given the same treatment for similar infringements. It matters not if Sony suddenly had a change of heart, regarding how sensitive it is to leaks. Older videos of copyright infringements on youtube get removed along with the newer ones, so long as Sony sees fit.

One possible reason why this would happen, is perhaps Sony is considering releasing this particular song on a future posthumous album. Nonetheless, I'm quite surprised to see that they would go out of their way to demand that these two users be banned, as I don't think their infringement is in any way unique to this forum.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I believe these songs are Michael, but I also believe Pentum and Kapital have been banned for posting videos comparing MJ's Cascio songs to JM songs.

Go take a quick look to the comments left by people on iTune and Amazon and see if the truth that you believe in is really "generally accepted by the public".

Don't forget the initial reaction to the streaming of Breaking News. An overwhelming majority questioned the authenticity of the song.

Please don't reduce our doubts to conspiracy theory. We don't join together to act against anyone here.

You have your opinon. I have mine. Neither one of us have solid proof to back up our opinons. While I don't label yours conspiracy theory, please don't label mine as such.

The difference is that KingMJ defends his opinion no matter what. I am almost sure even if MJ himself came to him and said "I am not singing those songs", KingMJ would answer: "That's your opinion, not mine."

I didn't mean to cause offense, I simply called it a conspiracy theory because of the title of this thread and the section that this is in.

I don't mean iTunes and Youtube, I mean the general public (media as well). Fans will post comments to try and spread the word.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Gaz, thanks for your post. I'm listening. I am.

But, this, to quote you:

Going forward, with Michael gone we are no longer able continue as we were simply put we now need to adjust our ways, Michael now is a product an item that makes money for the Estate thus the children's future and the name of Michael Jackson is set to how they want it set.

This, this, this is pathetic. I'm hurt. Seriously, I'm speechless. What has this world become.

Please tell me you don't mean what you just wrote.

If MJ came to me and talked to me I would probably have a heart attack.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Maybe Sony just needs to be a little more open with the fans and the fans would respect them enough to not feel tempted to leak their snippets of authentic unreleased Michael Jackson audio?

It seems, if the fans would have just gotten some simple proof, this could have been over a long time ago, and people wouldn't be begging to hear these songs just so that they can make a decision about them, are they real or not? Which is a decision that they shouldn't even need to make!!!

It's sad but true...but it's not Sony's job.More like the Estate or Cascios..

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

My heart is weeping. I'm not a dramatic person. But, those words posted by Gaz from Sony or the Estate cut my heart like a knife.

Michael Jackson is now an item, a product!!!

I'm sorry, but I love this man too much to accept that. He's not a souless machine. He's someone that inspired millions in this world.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I know, Love. It's impossible to imagine that this loving, caring, talented humanitarian is now being used only as a tool to make a profit. In a perfect world, this wouldn't be tolerated. In a perfect world, he'd still be here with us. I know it's hard to accept Love, I truly do. But, unfortunately this is how his vault of unreleased genius is seen as now.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I however don't see anyone else more responsible for this whole situation than the Cascios themselves. I have nothing against them. As I already stated earlier, they might have been wonderful people when Michael was alive, but now that Mike is not around, they messed it big time!

Now, I am re-asking the question to the cascio defenders or believers or however you want to be reffered to:

If you were a huge MJ friend. A lifelong friend considered as a second family. What would you do with your best friend's/family's objects that he supposedly had possessed?

Would you:

Option1: Keep the objects in the closet and cherish them in memory of your killed friend?

Option2: Give the objects to the mourning children of your killed best friend?

Option3: Register the copyright the day after his death, sell the objects of your killed best friend and give the money to the mourning children?

Option4: Register the copyright the day after his death, sell the objects, cash in the money, despite the whole controversy around the objects that supposedly belonged (not) to your killed friend?

short time ago I wrote that I believe people were getting over excited about alleged availability of these songs and the "proof" that they might serve. The reality in my opinion we don't need those songs to make a decision, well because everyone had already made up their mind. If you aren't hearing Michael on released Cascio songs , you probably won't hear him on the unreleased ones either. Or if you can hear him, you'll most probably would hear him again.

------

Option1: Keep the objects in the closet and cherish them in memory of your killed friend?

only possible if no one knows about them. If someone knows and the killed friend is a co owner his estate can request them. you can control the release however.

Option2: Give the objects to the mourning children of your killed best friend?

mourning children = Michael Jackson Family Trust = Estate

Option4: Register the copyright the day after his death, sell the objects, cash in the money, despite the whole controversy around the objects that supposedly belonged (not) to your killed friend?

Isn't this missing something? They are selling the items so that estate can satisfy their 10 project deal with Sony and get on average $25M per project for MJ's kids. so the kids are getting considerable profit from it as well. (and it kinda covers option 3)

how about an option 5 : believe that your friend would want his fans to have access to these items and therefore give it to the proper authorities in a proper way and showcase them to the fans while generating profit for his kids?

The revenue generated by the songs and this album goes to the children anyway, so option 3 would essentially be the reality we're facing at the moment. What would be the point of option 2? Giving them to the children, who at this age have no creative control over the Estate and the music they release, so you'd have potential records, being held on to by his children until they all become adults. Which means they'll remain unregistered and unreleased, which means the songs won't bring any funds to the children anyhow.
