Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Thanks Gaz, such a shame :(

Also, I doubt very much it is 'Still The King' as Will.I.AM said. "Michael kept the vocals, I kept the instrumental"

But maybe it is MJ vocal from will.i.am session and music is from...another producent hired by sony. But it also could be song "soldier boy" from cascio - this is more possible.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Whatever was posted sounded absolutely nothing like Michael Jackson. Maybe Sony should be a more vigilent with the music they're releasing and worry less about comments on a forum!

Complete shambles!

So, Sony does watch us. Sony does follow this debate thread closely. So, after hearing fans' extremely negative reaction to Breaking News, they decided to do nothing but to push the album foward.

Now, they are coming after people who post links to a song that is leaked somewhere else. What give Sony the right to interfere an independent fan forum? I understand Sony would like to have the post and the link removed. But, who give Sony the right to order some members to be banned.

As far as I know, this fan community is not an affiliate of Sony and is carrying its own policy independently. I'm sorry. But, I feel very uneasy now. I don't feel it's right that Sony has the power to order someone to be banned for an indefinite period.

This is bullshit!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I think some are forgetting one important issue here - how those songs might have been acquired? Technically speaking depending on how they might have been acquired sharing and distributing might be a much more important and serious issue then copyright.

Plus generally speaking cease and desist notices can list several actions requested to correct an issue or expect a lawsuit.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Ivy, thank you for legal insight. Can't one of the action "requested to correct an issue" be removing the post and issuing a warning?

Now, I'm curious. Are Blue Gangster, Do You Know Where Your Children Are, Slave to The Rhythm, obtained "legally"? If not, then how come there is no correcative action being carried out to the members who shared those songs?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I remember hearing "Tak" was arrested.

Ivy, is this supposed to be the answer to my question above? If so, I fail to see how it addressed my question. So, what happened to the memebers who shared All I Need and Stay and Blue Gangster? None of these songs are obtained "legally", are they?

I'm not trying to get this forum in trouble. I know your team and the owner of this forum need to implement necessary actions to protect this place. There were members here who made the same mistake of posting copyrighted materials here. They were not banned for an indefinite period. Pentum and Kapitla are now banned. They happened to be heavy critics of Sony Music. I hope you understand why I have such uneasy feeling now. The problem is I see inconsistencies in this forum's banning policy again and again.

Yeah Jason, won't you leave us alone???

I highly doubt that. Anyone can make claims like that without providing any actual proof whatsoever. :)

Oh, and I would like to ask somebody to clear things up for me.

So apparently Pentum and Kapital shared snippets of... what? Cascio tracks? If they did, what are the names of the songs they shared snippets from? And what about their comment concerning the sharing of supposedly "already uploaded and posted links by Sony's command". So is Sony leaking those tracks via forum members?

Sorry but I'm really confused over what just happened, I hope somebody can clear things up for me.

Kind regards, A.Z.™!

Water.Send me PM if you want them,I'm at school.I'll be online in 2 hours ;)

I was just about to ask Ivy to clarify as well.....I'd like to know

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Perhaps they(Sony) were extremely disappointed when All I Need and Stay leaked and perhaps they're taking a few extra measures to ensure that the rest of the full songs don't leak. Obviously they probably know that some people have them...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

@Love is magical and @Arklove

Did you read Gaz's post? I believe it's clear. It's not due to forum policy or staff decision. It's request by legal team.

I understand that you want to defend your friends (or people that you share the same opinion with) but are you willing to put MJJC on the line?

and believe me, being "heavy critics" of anything is protected under freedom of speech.

and in order to not get this forum in trouble we really should move on from the issue of leaks and links.

Of course Sony were frustrated. They paid freaking millions for those damn tracks. I would be outrageous if my intellectual properties are leaked.

But, I'm talking about this forum's banning policy and the consistency in applying it.

The decision to ban someone should not be depended on how frustrated Sony feels.

If someone is banned for sharing a link of a copyrighted material obtained illegally, should the same ban be carried out to the same offenders (there are tons) who share links previously?

I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble. I ask these questions because fairness is a very important concept to me. I feel everyone should be treated equally regardless of one's opinion.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

Well, the forum rules have changed since then. Lots of things have changed in the past 5 months since Michael has been out, I guess. I'm sure now it just gets more and more serious to leak unreleased material.

Are you saying Sony REQUESTED to have Pentum BANNED; otherwise, they will carry out legal action?

I've read Gaz post. I trust my own comprehension skill. I don't see how his post addressed my questions regarding the consistency in applying banning policy.

I am not willing to put MJJC on the line. I've already said you get to do what you get to do to protect this place. I simply asked why there is no punitive action against other offenders. There is member who openly admitted he/she hacked into another person's email, a illegal activity. No banning and no warning issued whatsoever.

How come my questions are not answered in a straight forward manner here?

PS: I'm not asking these question because I'm defending a friend. I don't know Pentum or Kapital. I don't think I agree with them 100% to tell you the truth. I'm asking these questions becasue I want to be clarified.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I also asked if people have heard the entire song. I never got an answer.

Leaking is leaking. It can't be more seious or less serious. Stealing $100 is a crime. Stealing $10,000,000 is also a crime. Stealing money on December 13, 2010 is a crime. Stealing money on April 10, 2011 is also a crime.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

is anyone following MJJC Twitter?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

There are enough leaked songs to make two or three MJ albums. There are so many leaked snippets shared among fans that the whole community could be banned. There are hackers who hacked JM e-mail and facebook. There are people who have actually heard entire songs and don't dare saying it. Yet Pentum an Kapital are banned for life NOT for LEAKING, but for posting a link of a leaked snippet by someone else. What kind of justice is that?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

MJJCommunity MJJCommunity
I stay firmly out of that one, that's for sure
OMG, its apparent I now have the ability to make the Jacksons look bad, not that I would but they certainly don't need my help lol

^^What's this about?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

go back more

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

^^That's why I have all these questions. I downloaded Hold My Hand, Another Day and Much Too Soon from this very forum before the official album released. Not to mention, I downloaded Blue Gangster, Do You Know Where Your Children Are and Slave to the Rhythm also here. There are tons of leaks, with actual download links placed here before.

If you go to the 2000 Watts section, it's not difficult to find different remixes of STTR.

Should the people who work on remixes of leaked songs be banned too?

I want to know what's the difference between leaking the whole STTR and th snippet of Water.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I know but if Sony say something, what can Gaz do? Let fans release these snippets and get MJJC down.

Pentum and Kapital have done nothing wrong and we know that, but if Sony threatens to close down, then what can you do? Loose two members? Or the whole community?

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

This is not Gaz's choice, he HAD to otherwise he would be SUED by Sony! As it stands I think Gaz is letting Pentum talk to the people who sent this message.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

So they got banned for sharing a snippet of a song which many say isn't even MJ?

I wish Sony were this vigilant just before album release. It would have saved a LOT of bother.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

hasn't anyone noticed 2000 Watts is GONE? Unless I have been made invisible to it!! I'm sure the staff were threatened that too much copyrighted material was being shared through that forum and it had to stop.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

^^ 2000 Watts isn't gone....Only some have access now...Donators, legendary members,...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)

I see. Thanks for clearing that up for me! I was disappointed to see it go.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Conspiracy)
