Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

People who believe the tracks are genuine, how do you explain why all supposed audio evidence of MJ's involvement with these tracks has been destroyed. And apparently due to MJ's wishes. Does that sound like something MJ would ever do?

Explained already a feeled 1000 times.

You don't need demos, of a demo.

You take the best demo take after your session, delete the rest.
And you go on from that saved best demo @ your next session.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

WRONG! But thats a common thing comin' out of your corner, isn't it?

Not Eddie has the book deal, it's Frank Cascio, who has the book deal.

Oh yeah... I mix my Cascio's up. Can't remember which one is the money-grubbing leech. And then I remember that it's both of them.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

He still didn't explain enough though, hence he's just signed a book deal with Harper Collins. Ker-chingggg!!!

The book is not by Eddie, but by Frank Cascio.

Prejudice is ignorance. Proven once again. Please do your homework. :flowers:

No reason to insult each other here. Come on, we are all Michael Jackson fans the same.

In response to your question, Anna, I don't find it too unlikely they got rid of worse recordings, if there were even many others, and it definitely isn't any evidence of an impostor singing these songs...

Isn't that what Taryll or Rooney said?

We are talking about the lack of any evidence. Not just the worse recordings, but every trace is gone.

Listen to the Dangerous demo, the sound of the fallen wall was recorded, Michael's screaming was recorded.

Listen to the Girl Is Mine demo, Michael's instructions were recorded.

Listen to the Groove of Midnight demo, the hair gel conversation was recorded.

It's not just the worst recordings they got rid of. It's EVERYTHING except the vocals in the tracks.

We don't know if there's any truth to this : this is just something one of the 3T nephews said Eddie Cascio supposedly told him. We don't know if it was ever said, and we don't know if it's true. In fact, Roger Friedman has said that there ARE indeed work tapes of the sessions.

If they existed, they should let us hear them, instead of hiding any evidence away and making themselves look like complete liars.

Now I thought they had been wiped.

Which in itself is extremely odd. For work tapes, you don't wipe the data on them because they're finished with and you're happy with them. You keep them and transfer them if necessary - yet this is Michael we're talking. Not just some random one-hit wonder who nobody ever cared about (not the person themselves, but the actual song they might make or an album they might make that nobody will remember in a year's time - for clarification in case). You don't delete masters of Michael Jackson. You just don't.

Then it must be true.

Roger Friedman is not more credible than 3T. Anyway, I'm eager to listen to the work tapes and see the paperworks if there is any.

Isn't it strange that none of the tapes are leaked? So, the work tapes are more secured than a genuine Michael Jackson song?

You don't delete masters of Michael Jackson. You just don't.

Apparently you do... even though we've heard copious amounts of voice messages and phone conversations that people recorded of his voice. But apparently his masters were deleted.

How extremely odd.

Since when would Michael, if going back to work on these tracks, supposedly want them deleted? He wouldn't...because he'd wanna add to them and add backgrounds and all kinds of funky stuff to them. That doesn't quite work.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Wow, it's nice and cosy as ever in here...

I read a comment a few pages back that I can't find anymore but I wanted to reply anyway. It was something along the lines of Why does Michael sound so different just on those three tracks? I, and I remember some members agreeing with this, did not think KYHU sounded strange at all and only a few lines of Monster and BN did. However in HT Michael did sound muffled and somehow unlike himself at first hearing to many. Some even wondered whether it was a Cascio track as well. If you never listened to the here discussed songs and then read this thread you would think there are 3 songs on Michael that sound absolutely nothing like Michael in their entirity and are obviously complete fakes, while actually in the beginning there was just confusion and it wasn't all that established and clear what was fake and what was real. And in reality we are still at this point. We really should be careful to not take our opinions as the undisputable truth. We are making each other crazy in here. That's why I would really like for the Estate to put an end to this by showing us work tapes or something like it or for the Jacksons/anyone to sue for fraud. One way or the other the truth has to get out there. Although I realise the 'truth' will not be onedimensional and satisfying for anyone, it will at least shed somewhat more light on this discussion that is now just going in endless circles.

Closed until further notice.. I am at work so I can't clean this mess right now...

SMH!

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

OK, I think I got everything. I will say that we continually ask for you guys to report posts instead of responding to them. Please do this. Report it, not respond in the thread.

If this thread has to be cleaned like this again, that will be the end of it.

Thank you.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

To this day I still scratch my head as to what happened with these songs. I've tried my best to give the Cascios the benefit of the doubt - that in some bizarre fashion Michael had some sort of deal with them that if anything were to ever happen to him they would somehow screw Sony over on his behalf. That's why I wonder about the clues in the lyrics - 'why did you fake it?', etc. And I wonder about Teddy Riley's comment about doing 'part one' of Michael's 'plan'. And at some stage everything will come out and Sony would LITERALLY get buried.

But the longer this goes on, the less I believe that.

Maybe they didn't. We don't know. As to why they didn't produce them if they do have them -- because that would have only fuelled the negative controversy regarding the vocals. As to why they don't produce them now -- because nobody now cares about this controversy apart from some people on message boards.

Wow...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

...In response to the comments over in the TMZ thread (about the HT video). This way it doesn't derail that thread, and indeed it's more relevant here...

This statment is not a fact. This is just your assumption.

I think the dissatisfaction people post in this thread in regards to this issue is evidence. So too is the drop-off in numbers of people who still post here. The conclusion I draw is that it is too unpleasant to be part of due to certain members. I'm sure people will back me up on that.

...Why don't we open a Poll thread about how many people don't want to be a part of the debate thread after being insulted or having their views responded to aggressively? You'll find many who find it unpleasant.

Are you insinuating that people who still participate in the debate thread partly because they have no life?

kinda :)

...you have to admit some people spend way too long in here arguing around in circles. Fighting over it and insulting each other isn't accomplishing anything. It's fair to say the thread has become redundant.

Perhaps it would function better if it was more pleasant.

I agree with you jmoses. Good post. :)

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Just to reiterate this from the first post in this thread:

Members coming into this thread you do so at you own responsibility, if you do not like the tone or what is being said here then you are duly asked to steer clear of this thread, as of now we will not accept any responsibility should members complain about what is written or if debates get out of hand. again it is your own responsibility as to whether you come in here and what your participation might be.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

If debates get out of hand? Debates can always remain respectful and polite. Especially on a Michael Jackson forum, of all places. We are better than threats and insults.

...A thread like this has its place. I am not against it in philosophy, but I can still call for a better environment for people to share their views without it being unpleasant.

The disclaimer is a warning, but you don't have to insult, be aggressive or let discussions become arguments just because a disclaimer entitles you to. We should be more civil.

You're absolutely right. However, the disclaimer is also common sense. If you don't like the heated discussion, it's best to stay clear.

Read Sam's last post; he pretty much sums up everything else I was going to say.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Just because you are insulted doesn't give you the right to be rude. You are supposed to be the better person and not stoop to their level, not keep the insults and rudeness going. Maybe just report it, ignore replying to the post, and move on.

Self-defense in response to an insult is not the same as being rude...

ANYWAY....let's just continue the debate, shall we?
