Michael - The Great Album Debate

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

There are two snorts actually in the BN a cappella, but the second one is barely noticeable.

Okay, okay!

Haha, I can imagine a button like this saying "SnOrT":
red-button-med-30.jpg

LOL !!!

He pushed cold button and Michael sung "Water".

He pushed heat button and Michael sung "Burn2nite".

When Eddie pushed the button for more water, Michael sung "Keep you head up" because the great pressure of water hurts his face. It was difficult for him to stay under the shower but he kept his head up to clean his hair.

In one of those moments Eddie made "popo" and Michael sung "Monster". It was a Monster shitt.

And when he saw what Eddie left in the bathroom then he realized that "Breaking ass"... well... "Breaking news", was a great tittle for a song.

Then he say "ALL I NEED" is a towel" but he "STAY" so many hours in that shower because Eddie was calling Teddy Riley.

@Jesta: Exactly. You give a couple examples as to why it might sound off and they dissect every word you say as 'excuses'. Kind of pathetic, if you ask me, that you can't have a debate whatsoever, you're just ridiculed.

In fact, all of your 'excuses' make complete sense.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Thanks, Aniram! I would give you more reputation, but it says that I have to give more to other people before I can give some to you, for some reason! :D

I want to know, is what I said to the doubters COMPLETELY implausible? Is the concept of filler vocals ridiculous? I never ridicule those who believe the vocals are fake.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Michael Jackson isn't a very good songwriter?!?

MJ probably didn't write the Cascio songs. Just like he didn't write 90% of Invincible.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

So I'm not allowed to dissect what lyrics would've been filler without me being branded an excuse-maker? Jeez... Why do I bother coming back...

Claiming he wasn't in the mood for work, hence the lyrics are atrocious, isn't 'dissecting' the lyrics. It's just another excuse, reason, or whatever you want to call it for the songs being completely pitiful.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Plus, the lyrics aren't THAT bad. 'You turned your back on the love' is talking about when you betray people for money, quite simple. The entire song is about greedy people 'wantin a piece' of him.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

That was just ONE thing I said. You claimed everything else I put in my post as an "excuse" as well. You've basically criticized me for wanting to get to the truth and trying to dissect the songs just because I think it's him on these tracks. You even said it yourself that you don't respect my opinion.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

hahaha!

Oh, wait, you're serious...

His lyrics didn't change the world? He didn't think of his art as that important? Oh yeah, of course, you're the guy who claims that he wrote terrible songs...

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

You made a typo, samhabib. You said YOUR lyrics have changed the world. Can you read? :p

I said I respected your right to an opinion. I don't have to respect everyone's opinions. There are people who have opinions that Michael Jackson was a paedophile, do I have to respect their opinions? Or just their rights to an opinion?

And before anyone tries to jump on the bandwagon, 'oh you're comparing Jesta to a hater...' save it. Read what I wrote.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I read what you wrote, samhabib, and it makes sense. I wasn't going to jump on that bandwagon.

Plus, I've stated several times in this thread that I respect your opinion.

This debate needs to remain respectful and friendly, in my opinion. Of course, it can get heated, I understand, but no need to belittle fellow Michael Jackson fans who only seek the truth. :)

Haha..no he didn't!...read his post again...

How completely desparate. 'My...' was in reference to a quote. As in Michael Jackson saying 'MY lyrics...'

Can you read? No? You'll need to wake up a hell of a lot earlier if you want to try and catch me out.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I UNDERSTOOD you!!! I was just pointing out why kreen or whoever said that. Of course I understood you meant MJ. But you obviously didn't see the typo when you replied like that... And that's a quote? I didn't know he said 'changed the fucking world.'

That wasn't aimed at you, to be honest. The last time I wrote that AnnieRUOkay claimed that I compared you to Adolf Hitler! Which was completely ridiculous.

Dear Lord...

Go and read my original post again. That's all. And after that, if you still don't understand it, read it again.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

@samhabib: Sorry, I had only read the quote kreen posted from you.. I just clicked on it and read your original post. My bad. I am sorry, wow!

I do agree with you that his lyrics have changed the world.

No worries :)

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

If anyone said TWYMMF, Beat It, Billie Jean or Thriller haven't changed the world, they'd just be wrong. That's a fact.

(Yes I know he didn't write Thriller but technically it's his song and did change the world quite a bit)

But to be fair the only reason why they did have any impact on the world was because of Quincy Jones. Everyone knows that if it wasn't for Quincy Michael would have been running around the studio like a brainless chicken. Quincy Jones is and always will be the true genius behind Michael's success

Wow i think i just blew up the sarcasam machine

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

If people say Earth Song, We Are The World and Heal The World didn't change the world - for some if not all (I'm sure Farkus will agree) - then they'd be wrong. Simple as that.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Very true, analogue. I don't think MJ did nearly as good with the New-Jack Swing stuff, although I love it, it wasn't nearly as influential or mindblowingly catchy as his stuff with Quincy.

I really wish Earth Song and Heal The World would have been more influential, samhabib, but I really don't think they did as good as his stuff with Quincy. Arguably people just had more interest in MJ in the 80's than the 90's, too.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

I thought analogue was taking the piss. Michael's work pre-Quincy was earth-shattering. How do fans reconcile that? Destiny and Triumph are two of the best albums he worked on - NO Quincy in sight. So what gives???

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Very true. Michael Jackson had his own natural songwriting ability. I think analogue was mostly talking about how Quincy brought this superb production that really benefited his success. I think they were an amazing team.

Of course none of it would have been possible without Michael.

Yeah. I did say that i blew up the sarcasam machine lol

Oh and incase anyone get's the wrong idea i wasn't making fun of Quincy. I was making fun of the people who think that Michales owes all his success to Quincy.

Re: Michael - The Great Album Debate (Only Go Here if You Want To Continue The Controversy)

Still, he's a really talented guy. I like him more than Teddy, although I like Teddy's style of music more. No one's perfect...

It would be interesting to see what would have happened with Michael if he would have gone with someone rather than Quincy, though. Quincy obviously influenced Michael a lot.

You hit the nail on the head! THIS IS IT!
The Cascio vocals sound so terrible because in fact Michael himself was just a moron who didn't know anything about making music. How is it possible we didn't see this before? Oh why did I blame Eddie?!

Heartbreak Hotel is one of his finest songs. Produced solely by him, without any input from Quincy Jones.

I wonder what Quincy would have said to Michael if Michael had mentioned the shower? 'You ain't gettin' in no shower... you're never going to shower as long as I live... You're gonna stink so bad I'mma call you smelly!'
