@Ivy , my point was not to focus on SONY vs Michael in 2001/2 period, but on what was Michael thinking about SONY at that time.

Here is the fact:

SONY paid 1 billion$!!!!!!

Repeat after me just to hear the sound of it O N E B I L L I O N D O L L A R S!

And the man who has been given 1 billion dollars dares to carry a panel on which it was written SONY = PHONY!

Who on Earth would ever do that???? "If there's injustice why not going to the court?" is a cliché sentence that we hear quite often. But the reality is totally different. You can't go to court when you don't have any proof whatsoever and when you know that you'd lose anyway after long years of fighting.

My point is, if Michael thought that SONY was PHONY once, why SONY couldn't be PHONY twice?

It has nothing to do with frozen time of the year 2001, but of the ultimate SONY's goal! What do they really want from the n°1 artists with such a lack of respect towards him and such a lack of promotion? Albums sales appear not to be the priority. Something else does. Food for thought.

remember my posts from yesterday? the one I asked what if there was reverb and echo due to shower booth and they tried to remove them /correct them with melodyne etc? how much effect / distortion would that clean up will have on the vocals?

that's what I wonder.

So, by your logic, an artist would record in a bathroom to add echo - intentionally. Why then would the echo want to be removed? Couldn't they have just recorded in the studio if they didn't want echo?

The fact that some of you think the shower thing is hilarious, when it's a perfectly reasonable thing to do that many artists do, just screams, "I refuse to open my mind even an inch to consider these tracks might be real."

I believe they are real, but at least I'm open minded about it. But anything given to the doubters is considered laughable, simply due to their own bias.

It's not so much of "recording in the shower is hilarious". At least, not to me, it's not. It's more of a combination of things that, when put together, sound quite comical (and perhaps, it has a little to do with how long it took for each new claim to surface).

It's like Eddie going on Oprah to reveal the BIG truth which they've been boasting about all this time, but putting it simply as this:

"He sounds different because of the over-production...and because of the poor quality equipment...and because the studio is in a basement...and he sang through a PVC pipe...did I mention that we recorded in the bathroom, in the basement, and whilst sitting down? Yeah, that's why he sounds so different. And you know what? I was there...pushing buttons..."

Emotions running high is okay, it's just automatically labeling people with such slanderous claims aren't okay. Not all of us are Cascio's / Sony / Estate and I realize this thread makes everything seem fake probably In some instances (such as this) we are saying the truth and we can prove it with hard evidence.

Teddy says he was always asked to come in at the end of projects to help put the finishing touches on songs, and that's what he did with this project. He's said this over and over, I've never heard him contradict himself on that.
