The copyright claims are not because of yours or anyones voice. It is for using the unreleased copyright songs period.

A lot of record companies tend to be lenient on covers but technically it's illegal as well. Same goes for lyrics. I posted a piano cover of Water, I wrote the lyrics in the description and it got deleted. This was way before the song leaked in full.

At least Brad Sundberg thinks the songs are not Michael. In a group on FB discussing which MJ songs we would skip when listening to MJ, someone mentioned they would of course skip the Cascio songs. Brad replied with this:

" I think the question was about songs that Michael actually sang. "

I seriously still don't understand how people can still say to me they think these songs are Michael.

After all 12 songs leaked the number of those people is very small. I would say 5% of fan community still think it's MJ.

imo sounds a lot more like michael.. his vocal range is closer to a D/E rather than the G that is on the original released version.

Zakk, do me a favor. Find the Breaking News acapella, find your best pair of headphones, sit in a dead silent room -- no TV, no distractions, no phone, no anything -- close your eyes and listen to it. Does that really sound anything like Michael Jackson?

I, of course, am not judging you for your opinion. We all feel differently about the songs. I just don't know how some folks think it is Michael singing.

But that's for another thread.

all i said was that this sped up version sounds more like Michael than the cascio released version. i never said it is Michael, just that the pitch is a little closer.

doesn't make sense. That's like saying OTW MJ sounds more like MJ than Vince MJ because he had a higher pitch when singing earlier

It's pretty much peace now after the kick starter campaign by Damien didn't reach its funds.
 
The quality has sort of degraded because back then I could only save stuff to my camera's SD card but now I have flashdrives and harddrives. I believe the reason why it was taken off of Youtube is the fact that it has Jason's address on the package.
