Michael - The Great Album Debate

Is the full All I Need demo the same as the full song that circulated on the web with the trumpet doing YANA at the beginning?

Lol, I still remember the very first leak of Keep Your Head Up with the Earth Song snippets in the bridge and end, towards the choir part. "What about apathy!!", I tried to find that one again, but had no luck.

They say that the voice was altered from the original demos. Even though snippets of the demos have leaked, and the full demo of all I need has leaked, and they sound the exact same as the album versions.

No original demos and no snippets of any original demos have ever leaked. The compromised files on Sony's internal file-sharing system were WIP mixes and those who accessed were only speculating. The same goes for the rumour that Teddy would have lied about Melodyne. He didn't. The voice sounds worse on his mixes of BN, Monster and B2N, especially the latter's Melodyne is easily recognizable. As the featured star producer he would never reveal that there were other producers who did this and that before he even got to start on a record, that's how business works. Teddy simply acknowledged he contributed to the digital alteration to some extent.

People are also blaming Teddy for removing a line in HT and writing a new bridge even though that was ordered by his estate that didn't want any reference to underage and didn't feel Michael's original bridge to be suitable for the targeted dance/pop mainstream. They didn't want any socio-critical meaning in it.

This is simply incorrect. Teddy Riley received the songs, beginning with Burn 2Nite at the end of August. He was the first person to work on them. No body worked on them between mid July when they were collected and the end of August. Now if your saying that you have heard mixes that precede the versions on Sony's server then you are not being truthful. If you are then prove it.

Stuar Brawley also tried to claim that there were versions of the songs in existence that sound like Michael. Maybe the versions that sound like Michael should have been released in the frst place on a Michael Jackson record?

And if Riley's melodyne causes the vocals to be "worse" on his mixes then why do they sound just as bad, with just as bad vibrato on all the others?

No the version of All I Need that leaked in the beginning was the version that Bacharach worked on. He added the YANA trumpet. It is not in the original.

I've got that one.

[Teddy Riley] was the first person to work on them. [...] mid July when they were collected and the end of August.

You are basing that speculation on what? Pro Tools screenshots aka partial/incomplete info without the full knowledge of their context?
To quote you: If you're saying you have concrete proof of this you are not being truthful. If you are then prove it.

The songs were not "collected" in July 2010 as you have been claiming here numerous times. It's no different than you spinning a fictitious story about the album's A&R Sony exec John Doelp.
You should first do some home work to realize why those claims have no merit.

If you had real knowledge about the people who worked on the Michael album, you could answer this question:
On which date did Tricky submit the final mix of his rework of STTR?

In that case you would have never been among those who are falsely describing these compromised files to be "original demos", too.

Just to be clear on this, are you saying that you have heard and/or are in possession of versions of the Cascio songs that predate what you refer to as the "work in progress" versions? Yes or no.

Have you heard the original demos? And I do think teddy did lie about melodyne, melodyne can't change how you prenounce words, or your vibrato. Fans uploaded videos of michaels voice with melodyne used on it, and it still sounded like michael, but sony went around taking them all down. Best Of Joy has a hell of a lot of melodyne used on it, and michael still sounds like michael..

Sony went around taking down all the MJ songs that fans added melodyne to? Seems like they had something to hide. Oh now i wonder what that could be?

Although I do agree that these are work in progress versions that have leaked. Most likely the original demos will never leak. This site lists the different versions of mj songs. How reliable it is I don't know.

I really think that the Michael album should be discontinued and taken off the shelves. Songs like Hollywood Tonight, Best Of Joy, Another Day, Behind The Mask and Much Too Soon can be re-released again on future albums but with much better production work done on them

All twelve of the songs are available online now. If you want to torture yourself you might be able to find them. They can't be uploaded here.

Oooh, I think I'll pass on that. It would cause too much pain. :D Well, it is sad that this farce continues after such a long time, and it doesn't look like it's going to be sorted out anytime soon. Or ever.
Thanks anyway.

All 12 songs leaks online and no one cares, Slave To The Rhythm leaks and everyone is talking about it, downloading it and enjoying it. Wow.

Not me. Tricky Stewart can go jump. I see your point though.

Well, they have been online for quite a while....and they're fake. So why are you complaining they aren't getting any attention?

He was obviously making a point...

And when the rest of the songs leaked, no one cared.

Sorry lol. I'm really tired. I don't see what point he is making, why should anyone care? I'm sorry if i'm completely missing the point but, as I said, i'm tired

It just says much about the Cascio songs. Fake. Bad. So fake and bad, people didn't even care when the rest leaked. While when authentic material leaks, things get different.

Ah, ok. Silly me for not understanding lol.
