Michael Jackson's Vision' DVD Boxed Set Available Everywhere Monday November 22

Question: Is there gonna be 2 versions available?

So called normal package with only 3 DVD's and then limited edition that in addition contains a 60-page glossy hard-bound book that has behind-the-scenes photos from Michael's personal archives.
 
Whether you are pleased with the announcement or not, there is one universal positive we can gather from it. We will see new Michael Jackson material on store shelves ready to be discovered and re-discovered by the non-hardcore fans. People will be in there buying something new from Michael. Even if it isn't all 'new', this is the thing most fans are after. If you want a complete, official guide to Michaels videography, this is what you need.

Regular music listeners will no doubt pick this up out of curiosity and to be informed of the videos and music they didn't know of before. New Michael material out there ready to be seen by a new generation of buyers has got to be a good thing, right?

Lots of good points............
1.) Full versions of most Videos
2.) We finally get to see They Don't Care About Us prison version.
3.) There are 3 videos of The Jacksons.
4.) You Rock My World is finally in its complete version.



Bad Points however:
1.) Ghosts is not full version.
2.) One More Chance was always blocked when Michael wanted to release it.
3.) Blu Ray anyone?????
4.) No behind the scenes features that were shown on TV, Making of Thriller VHS or Dangerous VHS/DVD.
5.) There are two versions of Smooth Criminal Music Video....
6.) It is missing the History (Tony Moran Remix) Music Video.
7.) It also misses the "History Begins The Mix" video.
8.) Captain EO anyone?????
9.) And finally it misses out all the videos from The Jacksons "Victory" album and "2300 Jackson St" music video. However, the Victory videos don't actually feature Michael in any of them so it unimportant. And Michael only appears for about 20 seconds total in 2300 Jackson St so that's not important.



Overall, this still seems to me that Sony hates Michael Jackson.............but being the obsessed MJ fan.....I'll probably buy it!!!!!

I think Sony have lost the interactivity with fans and they missed the point...., until fans are going to boycott such releases.

IMO its another professional failure.

(what did they think that hardcore and older fans were going to be so excited of this?
We are not dumb to buy anything they will release, they degrade Michael´s status)

For example, where is BEN video?

michael´s career did not start in 1979!!!

Drama, Drama, Drama! If u don't like it don't buy it! Saying it's gonna be a flop before it's released... ya that's smart! NOT! Like Sony is only selling this to the fans only? Yea, right don't think so! It's for ALL music lovers period!

I don't think some gasp that there have been new fans born since June 25th that most likely don't have all of MJ stuff and just might like to! This is the perfect Box set for that!

Anyway, as for me I will buy it!

I am fan of the Michael since 2003...I never had the chance to feel the true magic...How much I was almost arriving in the alias process… xxxxx.
My God, what I would make to come back at the time of Off The Wall. *********
But that is good, them they will not be able to launch plus these videos. This will be the last collection.

I always looked at Michael as an old fashioned guy, and i always think is that why we never see BD releases of his material and stuff like that, like with U2 and other artist, is that or again sony SUCKS!

many other artists have so many (collectors) special DVDs, CDs, books, but Michael has almost nothing new and up-to-date, only re-re-released old stuff in a new package and new cover. That sucks.

The boxset is strickly music videos. Why would Bad Your and Victory tour performances be on a music video boxset. If they were put that, then people complain on why they couldn't just release a full concert DVD in the first place.
 
Obviously not over-thrilled by it all but I didn't expect anything less from Sony to be honest... Glad it has Another part of me and Say Say Say featured!!! Class!! Does anyone know if the long version of the Way you make me feel is on it and Leave Me Alone?!
 
I think it sounds great. I was hoping for the full Ghosts video (especially since it hasn't ever been released here in U.S. at all), but maybe we'll get it someday.

And being an audio guy I think that if they remixed all of the songs in 5.1 it will be worth the price for that alone.
 
I'm undecided on getting the DVD. $40 isn't too bad for the price, but I hate buying the same material over and over. If the quality is improved a lot, maybe I'll buy it.

I wonder why they didn't include Blood On the Dance Floor with the original (not remixed) song.

Maybe I'll just wait for a Blu-Ray release. Knowing Sony, it will happen someday, after everyone already bought the DVD.
 
Great collection of all the videos together in one set + One More Chance (I wonder what they did with that, or how much footage they have?) Looks worth buying to me. :)
 
I look forward to this set. But I also hoped that it would have included the regular Blood on the Dancefloor instead of the remix, which doesn't make any sense..

I think the original version of BOTDF is on Number Ones. If so, then that may be why. Sony probably doesn't plan on deleting any of the previous dvds. They don't want to make all of the previous releases void.

You want the original BOTDF or shorter YRMW,TWYMMF,SC you gotta buy Number Ones...
You want History teaser, Billie Jean (25), MTV 95 or Brace yourself you gotta buy History Vol2
You want the behind the scenes stuff from Dangerous you have to buy the dangerous dvds.

I guess the only previous release that is obsolete now is probably History Vol 1
 
So what videos are still missing from being released? Strictly MJ videos? Not including Ghosts because I'm 100% sure that will get it's own release, as it should.

Alternate BOTDF (16mm black and white version), Who is it Montage, HIStory remix video, Unbreakable Montage... I can't think of anything else.

It's shame these couldn't have been included because they would have fit in perfectly with the other rarities on disc three. Plus it's not like there isn't any more room on the disc. You could argue that the Montage videos are not a big deal but having the other 2 rarely seen/never released videos would have really added more to the exclusivity of the set. But hey, the set is still awesome looking!
 
Not exactly sure what some of you are complaining about, I'm looking forward to the released... bring it my way....I'm in Iraq right now and would be pretty happy to see just about anything, even if its stuff I have bought before! :)

I was hoping for some concert dvds too, but hopefully in the near future they will be released :pray:


Not sure if i will be getting the "vision" box set cuz the only video i havent seen from that boxset is "one more chance" and my mum would think id be crazy spending money just to see one video.

Some people just aren't satisfied, obviously they never finished the Unbreakable shoot, therefore how can something that doesn't exist be included in this boxset?
 
This is amazing, no lie. Damn near complete. The only things I can think of are Whatzupwitu (or however he spelled it) and WBSS2008 (which, personally, I'd have loved to see on there).

If your referring to my post, there was indeed an Unbreakable promo video made by Sony.
It was a Montage video of previous concerts, mostly from bad and dangerous if I remember correctly. There was never an official all new Unbreakable video ever made.
 
I will buy it mostly for the convenience of having all the vids together.

As for One More Chance, while it's nice to get new stuff I wouldn't get my hopes up that it's an undiscovered masterpiece. It's not gonna be like watching Thriller or Smooth criminal for the first time.
 
Is the Another Part Of Me video the one showing MJ perform the song on his Bad Tour? Because it says the vid is 4:45 but im looking on youtube and i can only find the one that is 3:50.
