"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Fully expecting a lot of places to lower review scores etc purely because it portrays MJ as innocent. The only correct portrayal to them is a guilty one.
Its important the films shows some of the details of the accusers the media purpusely left out, that shows how uncredible the accusers are.

Like the settlement not being for a criminal case, evan chandlers personality, all the contradictions, the people paid to say lies about Michael.

It can be very subtle like a scene of a news reporter or judge saying it.

Leaving these forms of 'proof' out and only saying MJ was innocent, then people wont believe it. The film should show why Michael was never convicted, cause his accusers were uncredible and only wanted money.

Funny how the same media that was fine with a one-sided mockumentary arent happy with a one-sided movie

These talking point, spin words like "Aggressive"' in Its 'Pursuit to Make Michael Look Innocent." is a cheap way to delude the audience to see a truthful portrayal as 'unfair', 'biased' and 'manipulative'. We don't see a single article about Wade & James "aggressively" going after MJ or his Estate. Nor do we see affiliated journalists calling them out for using a film (Leaving Neverland) and a lawsuit as a money grab... But if The Michael Jackson Estate makes a film about Michael Jackson - it's a "Cash grab".

Yeah ok!

and the film should show how he suffered from the rumors that were presented as the truth
And how the HTW / Dangerous Tour / era was not completed because it hadn't even truly started. Because it was tainted with these accusations.Everything was so good then In late August 1993 everything went dark, everything went wrong. And the legions of kids that were there and felt that uneasy/confusing shift with him. It was traumatic going through that as a teen. Seeing those headlines day after day, You were ridiculed for supporting him, his name was painted as a dirty word and it was complete hell to witness your childhood hero to go through slander and go under such an incredible ,excruciating, immense amount of pain. He had a credible, loyal fanbase who he had taught the art of unconditional love to, but we were not blindsided. The media was very cruel to him and to us and those that loved him.

It shows true 'Journalism' is dead.. (doubt it was ever alive tbh). Where are the journalists that seek the truth? They barely exist.

I guess real journalisms doesnt exist in capatalism because the main goal isnt to seek and report the truth but make cheap money with clickbait and simple articles without doing any real research...

It surprises me that in this day and age where surrogacy, adoption, blended families and all manner of other parenting that is much more open and acceptable - we would sit here and argue about the paternity and lineage of Michael Jackson’s 3 children. Who cares? If they don’t look an ounce like a Jackson or a Michael for that matter; he fed watered and loved them - he was their father the only father they know. Let’s leave it at that. Those 3 children now adults have to live the grief of losing their beloved father for the rest of their lives. Least we could do is leave them with some integrity around their father… instead of worrying about where the sperm came from. Gosh . Can’t believe 25+ years later we are still on about this non issue!!!

For sure, we can only hope they do it effectively. I'm also not 100 percent sold on this script leak being accurate, but they will need to address it somehow.

We live in a post-truth and post-MeToo era. If things werent hard enough on Michael before, the media will only get harder because we have to "always believe victims", even if theyre not actually victims. Evidence be damned. How flimsy the cases against Michael are has never been publicly explored. The only real public investigation of any accusations was "Leaving Neverland" and we all know what that was. How dare his estate try to rebuke that? Its like the media forgot this man was found not guilty.

If what we are told about the script is true then I think this is certainly the right way to go. The end of the film could show after the photographs have been taken (where I’m sure there will be a mention that he does not match Jordys description) there could be a scene where lawyers / advisors convince him, against his better judgement, to settle for the sake of his health due to the stress and anxiety it was causing him. Then, in a later scene he says he knew he shouldn’t have settled and if anyone makes these claims again he’s going to court. At the end of the film they could say someone did try again and this time he did not settle and in court Michael was found not guilty on all counts.

Its like the media forgot this man was found not guilty.
They can say he got off because he's rich and/or famous like they did with O.J. Simpson. O.J. was also found not guilty, but a lot of people think he did it. O.J. did later go to jail for something unrelated, but he's out now.

O.J had an entire race movement against him being found guilty. Michael didnt have that. There werent going to be riots in the streets if Michael was convicted. There was more to gain out of Michael being found guilty than innocent.

There's no question he was guilty. It was embarassing. A juror gave him a black power salute upon his not guilty verdict. The shit was an absolute circus.
If that jury really acquitted him solely because he's black, all they really did was hurt Black men who get vindicated in court. Now every black man who gets acquitted (like Michael) get compared to OJ, because you know if OJ was really guilty, ALL black men are guilty even if they are acquitted.

My question is, what's the legality of the Estate talking about the Chandler case? Isn't this exactly what the settlement is for, to not, allow them? I'm curious what it means.
Yeah that's gonna be interesting. I wonder if they can get around it somehow by simply not using the Chandler name or creating a new name to avoid legal issues?

Jordy lives a hidden life possibly under a new identity now? If the big focus will be on the 93 case , I wonder if it will make him stick his head up and speak out?

If the script leak is true then I back it fully. It shows the Estate isn’t afraid to confront the allegations and the media and all the people who believe Michael is guilty. Let’s tackle the allegations head on. The narrative has been one sided post 2019 and I fully back the idea to reopen the debate. Only this way more journalists or media will want to investigate and perhaps rethink what they wrote in the past. It’s important that there is a a real and visible countermovement to the various allegations.

Let the boxing match begin…

michael’s life was complicated. even those closest to him struggle to make sense of most of it. it’s not as simple as ‘victims’ & ‘villains’. not everything can be neatly explained like some fans think.

besides, who gets to be the authority over this story, when the man at the centre of it is no longer here to confirm, or deny anything? it feels like an invasion of privacy.

why watch someone else portray michael when i can just watch the real thing?

this biopic will only raise more questions than it answers, and cast a dark cloud over his musical legacy. it shouldn’t have been conceived in the first place.

That is very true
why watch someone else portray michael when i can just watch the real thing?
And some of us will be reliving this. So ground hog day springs to mind.
this biopic will only raise
Emotion. Good and bad.

This film needs to be made. The facts need to be heard by millions all around the world.

Michael's image is forever tainted. If the movie changes the opinion of even a small minority it's done it's job.
