"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

@StockRetail

"Seeing the Michael Jackson biopic is moving out a few months. Recently the studio had announced it was going to put very large marketing behind it and that they believe it will be a huge blockbuster. Probably just finding the best spot they believe it can perform in.

Moved from April to October (from q2 to q4)"

Well fudge. At least this could theoretically mean that they could premiere it at film festivals around the world at that time (Venice tiff etc).
Good point.

And yes timing with thriller / Halloween next year could be an interesting marketing tactic.
Agreed. Could make such a difference.

Film pushed back until October of 2025. 11 months now to go lol
October 2025.... wait a second... that can only mean that the film is to promote Triumph's 45th anniversary.
Released on : October 18, 1980

Do you say these things just to be provocative?

If nobody cares about Elvis, how come Graceland is still a massive tourist attraction?

There are so many Elvis tribute artists , competitions, arena shows and Elvis festivals that still take place.

You make this type of statement and then in the other thread speak about the fact you hate Quincy. Seems very bitter to anyone who is not Michael.
I haven't forgiven Quincy for the horrendous insults and things he said about Michael after he died.

Pardon my language, but this news is complete fucking lunacy to the highest degree. I understand they want to attract attention from the award-type people, but c'mon - a movie like this should be for the fans, first and foremost. And if it ends up sucking for whatever reason, those who waited even longer to see it will have a response that's far beyond the standard "pissed off" definition.

The movie being pushed back makes me sad for one reason only... it makes it less likely for Katherine to get to see it.

They are doubling down, it's going to break all of the records and help Thriller go #1

No new Songs since a decade
Nothing nothing nothing for our Supports through all
The years. Cmon we Are getting older and older - see Tito what Happens we getting nothing. The other thing is im thinking the Movie is Like the Jacksons an American Dream no history era no invincible era etc.

Unless I'm missing something, the Thriller album has been #1 from Michael's total catalog since shortly after its release. Given the changes in people's musical tastes just in the past few years alone, I'm not expecting this movie to change anything in that regard.

The single Thriller

You think they would dare not to tell her one of her sons has passed??? 😨
No matter how hard it might affect her, I think this would be on the verge of abuse. A parent has a right to know.

Regarding the three hours... Maybe it would be to long for her to stay focused, who knows. Maybe it would be comforting somehow as well, who knows. I think every parent would feel the need to watch old pictures and possibly videos, in this case a biopic. I don't know, it's difficult to say because I'm not in her position.

Have we had any indication about her state of mind in the last year or two? I mean I know she uses a wheelchair, but that says nothing about her state of mind.
