"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Regarding the three hours... Maybe it would be to long for her to stay focused, who knows. Maybe it would be comforting somehow as well, who knows. I think every parent would feel the need to watch old pictures and possibly videos, in this case a biopic. I don't know, it's difficult to say because I'm not in her position.

Have we had any indication about her state of mind in the last year or two? I mean I know she uses a wheelchair, but that says nothing about her state of mind.

To be fair, I think Katherine's overall mobility has been challenged in various ways for most of her life. She had polio as a child, and even though she survived it, the disease still left her with a permanent limp. Walking with something like that for a lifetime afterward is bound to cause some kind of long-term physical damage.

Physical damage is one thing, you can still watch a movie though... provided you're mentally fit.

Not letting an elderly parent know one of her children has passed if the same kind of mistreatment like not telling a small child that his parent has passed (this can happen, I have heard stories). The only situation where this would make sense is when there is progressed dementia and she wouldn't understand anymore. Which I hope is not the case.

I was never trying to argue otherwise. My mother passed from lung cancer in 2015, and my Dad from Alzheimer's in 2021. If anyone had tried to keep either of those events a secret from me, I'd have gone off on them like you'd never believe.
 
Not sure why Katherine's cognitive abilities are under discussion nor why anyone would think that she would not have been told about Tito's sad demise. Ridiculous suggestion. Yes, she's reached a great age but none of us know her and none of us can possibly know where she is with her mental or physical health.
 
I’m sure Katherine has probably already seen a lot of the footage throughout it’s creation one way or another.

I truly believe that this will ignite Michael’s fan base in spectacular fashion for a while so it would be amazing for her (at the end of her life) to see him celebrated in such a loving way one more time.

I hope somebody has thought about that and asked the producers to make an exception and let her be present.
 
they could release it on 30th October, the OST will be an anniversary edition of Invincible and Jaafar will be performing all the Invincible songs in the movie.

So Invincible will finally get its recognition and people will think it's a new album with unheard songs.
The estate doesn't need to release unreleased songs ever again, since Invincible is practically unknown to the public!

another simple re-release with lowest effort. ;)

whatever, they could also just re-release Thriller as Halloween OST Edition with a fancy new pumpkin styled album cover.

Not really sure anyone will know the true extent of what went on behind closed doors I think Michael tried to tell us in book moonwalker. How his father took him to meetings alone without his brothers why?

No offense meant, but how is it going to be done that there's a new Jackson Five album, with only four brothers remaining? Did Michael or Tito leave any unreleased vocal tracks behind, especially from their younger years?

I'm kind of hoping they do something proper for HIStory 30 in order to make up for the delay, it is supposed to be coming out shortly after the biopic's original release date after all. Instead of just throwing in a standard re-issue with some cheap looking merchandises they could give it a disc 2 that includes a couple of unheard songs and the Hayvenhurst demos of some of the songs on the album. A documentary along with it would be nice also.

Though this is already a topic for another thread entirely lol.

I support and don't understand this behavior.
It does not mean that we have a bad memory like a fish.
I also remember all those hypocrites and their bad sayings. La Toya is one of them and I don't care if her husband forced her to say what she said or not. By and large, almost none of them were his true friends, they were all always concerned about money and fame, so I didn’t care about all their troubles. Exceptions: his mother, several brothers (including Tito), Janet, children and a few other people who, no matter what, never turned their backs on him and always said only good things
