Oh, and one or two days before the tribute was canceled they added a bunch of kids from the program "Amici" :doh: to replace the people who had canceled their partecipation.
 
Thanks for the feedback! I confess I have not heard of her and had to look her up. Well, if she is a long time fan...

It is so achingly sad that ticket sales were so bad. By the time a proper tribute actually comes together, people will be so jaded and suspicious, it will probably fall apart too. Everyone still wants to make money for themselves off his back. I don't think they really care about him!

yeah she might be a long time fan but she's irritating...well she was..i don't even remember the last time I've last heard about her,so besides being irritating she's also artistically irrelevant.
well...amici:doh:no-one can butcher a song like those kids I swear.

i think a real tribute if we ever get one,will be approved by the estate and supported by sony,that means proper marketing and organisation,real artists involved both italian and international...the austria tribute sold 65.000 tickets(correct me if i'm wrong) and got cancelled,then the London one got axed twice thanks to jermaine.....so ppl here were already weary about un-official events with nobodies or b-listers performing....

agree.
Paying 70/110 € to see a bunch of nobodies and some people who was famous years ago makes really no sense. It looks like the organizators idea was "it does not have to matter what we are organizing, you should come just because it says MJ on the name of the event". o_O it does not work exactly like this.... they were and still are trying to make the people feel guilty and responsable for not wanting to pay "in the name of Michael". Ridiculous.
And getting involved with Samantha Zolla? I think that maybe something could have been made if they didn't allow her speaking about the Tribute and MJ in disguise in the backstage (LOL).... people started to be really suspicious after that.
 
I'm just glad that this so-called tribute didn't get much media coverage.
