I know right! I hope she does it in London, I'm one seat away from the aisle on the 2nd show :woohoo:

It depends on if there are steps to the stage from the crowd... (I think)

It has been announced that Janet will be in Vienna in May, for the Life Ball, while this is not a concert Janet will be there to give a speech representing amfAR, the organisers said this:

Coming from Cannes JANET JACKSON will arrive in Vienna on Friday, May 20th in Vienna sponsored by Red Bull.

JANET JACKSON, born as the youngest child of the Jackson family, has been a prominent figure in popular culture for over 25 years. She has sold over 100 million records worldwide; she is ranked as one of the best-selling artists in the history of contemporary music. The American Recording Industry lists her as the eleventh best-selling female artist in the United States, with 26 million certified albums.

Only very few personalities reserve the right to be called a charitable celebrity. JANET JACKSON beyond doubt is one of them. Since accepting a volunteer position with amfAR, JANET has travelled internationally on behalf of the foundation. At each of her numerous public appearances, she has worked tirelessly to heighten awareness of HIV/AIDS as a threat to social and economic stability and to underscore the urgent need for continued AIDS research. “HIV/AIDS is a pandemic which requires our immediate and continued attention. So much progress has been made, thanks to leading organizations such as amfAR, in the fight. Combination therapy has made HIV a maintainable disease, but sadly, there is still no cure and it continues to spread at alarming rates. HIV/AIDS is a continuing hazard, both in the Unites States and abroad. This is why I am honored to join with amfAR to bring awareness and help raise the much needed funding for their work," said JANET.

In 1997, "Together Again" fast became the new anthem for those suffering with AIDS, their families and friends. "I believe we have other lives," JANET states, "I don't believe in the finality of death. I wanted to write about friends who have died of AIDS, but without being mournful or sad. I wanted to celebrate their spirit. I'm pleased that “Together Again” is just that -- a celebration, a confirmation that the energy of love will never die." A portion of the proceeds from the song was donated to amfAR.
“We are profoundly grateful to JANET JACKSON for joining Life Ball,” says amfAR’s CEO Kevin Frost. “She brings incomparable grace and a history of dedication to the fight against AIDS.”

The coming from Cannes could possibly be a hint that Janet is doing a show there, and it is actually named on the tour T-shirt as one of the cities she will be stopping in

This just in:

Janet Jackson to perform at Paris fundraiser June 13th

Raising the bar once again on charity fundraising, Becca Cason Thrash has scored an entertainment coup for her Liaisons au Louvre II benefit in Paris in June with announcement that six-time Grammy Award-winning superstar Janet Jackson will perform.

With more than 100 million records sold worldwide, Jackson will privately entertain the intimate gathering of 250 notables attending the Grand Nuit, the finale of a three-day Paris extravaganza benefiting the vaunted museum. The tony frolic is organized under the auspices of the American and International Friends of the Louvre, of which Cason Thrash is vice chair. The June 13 performance evening will take place under the patronage of French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

In a published statement, Henri Loyrette, Louvre president and director, said, "Janet Jackson is one of the world's greatest artistic treasures. Accordingly, we are profoundly honored, and believe it is most fitting, that her performance in the Louvre Museum will be yet another masterpiece captured under our glorious glass Pyramid (the iconic Louvre addition designed by I.M. Pei). I believe the evening with Janet Jackson will be a great coup for our institution!"

Funds raised from the evening and surrounding activities ($10,000 per person for visitors from outside of France) will help restore a Louis XV drawing room that will be featured in the Louvre's 18th century decorative arts galleries, which will reopen in 2013.

In June 2008, Cason Thrash stood European fundraising on its ear with the inaugural Liaisons au Louvre that raised $2.7 million and stood as a first for the museum in terms of private fundraising on such a scale.

Notables from around the world are expected to attend the upcoming event which enjoys an international committee that includes U.S. Ambassador to France Charles Rivkin, Prince Pavlos of Greece, Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, Prince Amyn Aga Kahn, Hubert Guerrand-Hermes and many more such as Yves Saint Laurent's Stefano Pilati and Roberta Armani.

Christopher Forbes, chairman of the American and International Friends of the Louvre will also be on hand for the black-tie dinner evening and surrounding festivities.

Jackson rarely performs in such intimate surroundings. The singer recently performed at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo before nearly 70,000.

She moves like a Jackson, of course she does, but still... you see Michael in her but just in general like a Jackson =)

Orginally on the shirt London , Paris, Cannes, and montea carol were the only European cities listed . but Gil said they were adding more eurpean dates, so I'll guess we find out eihter this month are next month cause I have a feeling the dates are going ton be between end of may to July.

I'm quite surprised she announced a show from the 2nd leg and has yet to announce the rest of the Europe dates, I think if she's announcing dates from the 2nd leg, then Europe will come soon, I hope so anyway :D

Yea... I hope she holds off on the 2nd leg until the end of may... Case I'm broke lol

I think she won't start until mid August at the earliest, I think she'll spend possibly May through August in Europe.

I don't know about Amsterdam specifically, but I do think she will do at least one show in the Netherlands, in every tour she's done (minus Rock Witchu) she has done at least one, with usually more in the Netherlands.
I think, given where she's been the most on her previous tours, she'll definitely do the Netherlands, Germany, and possibly Switzerland or somewhere in Scandinavia, oh and she expressed interest in performing in Italy so maybe there too.

Jonhvonnie attended one of Janet's shows, she posted this picture on her facebook

With the caption "We are Growing and Growing", wonder what she meant by that

I really hope if she doesn't come to Finland, that at least she'd go to Sweden! :angel:It's not that cold here in the summer :innocent:

AWwwwwwww.... I wonder if they still have sibling squabbles like they used to.

Randy: Michael....Michael....turn down my earphones MAN! Turn 'em down...
Janet: He's trying to Randy....
Randy: *yells at Janet*
Janet: WELL TAKE 'EM OFF!

And then they're still fighting at the end of the demo. Classic!

Janet Jackson: Number Ones Up Close & Personal review

In the music industry the Jackson name is as good as platinum and synonymous with iconic hit makers and unadulterated entertainment. Last night perhaps the most elegant in the family, Janet Jackson, graced the Wellsfargo Theater in Denver, CO with a stop on her national tour, Janet Number Ones Up Close & Personal. She wasted no time with watered down openers and instead delighted the sold out auditorium with pure Janet goodness.

A special video dedication greeted the awaiting admirers and the screens dwarfing the stage read, “Tonight I dedicate the ‘Make Me’ video to the beautiful people of Denver.” Following that Janet arrived center stage commanding the spotlight. Bearing a feisty new hair cut and a commitment to her performance the sexy Pop icon was sharp and focused.

Throughout the evening she was surrounded by dancers and backed by a live band while she performed hits off her latest album, Number Ones. With energy as fresh as it was 20 years ago and sporting a fit and curvaceous figure there was a transparent glow of true contentment about her. Ms. Jackson proved she not only still has what it takes to entertain but also holds the title as the reigning Pop Diva of our time, deservedly so.
