I have a feeling he had a bad experience with the "family".

And I agree, Michael deserves so MUCH more than what they are trying to do.

Absolutely. The Jacksons are just trying to use the fans, Michael Jackson's fans, for their own financial gain and not for charity.

OH OH so we are not the only ones who see through these MJ related events. I wonder what experiences Bearden had.

They probably try to hang him along with Kenny for the whole thing with AEG and TII. Or, he is piss at how they went after Kenny and called him everything under the sun. Or, he could be mad that they support people like Karen who pretty much call everyone involve with TII, except cloth guy, enablers and let Michael die for the sake of profit. Or, he could be mad about how the family has been dragging Michael's name through the mug for attention, like Toya. Or, he could be mad about how Michael's children are being use as some kind of device to gain sympathy.

Really, the list goes on with this family, pick one.

This is what I see happening....

1. The announcement gets postponed again

2. Or, when the list of artists is announced, people will be going like  or :hysterical:

I don't see this being the big TRIBUTE that Michael deserves.

on facebook some people are saying that Alien Ant Farm is confirmed. Let me try to find a gif for that.

Alien Ant Farm's biggest hit was a cover of smooth criminal so it seems about right. I mean sure it was ten years ago but still. So now we have so far Ant Farm. Craig David, And Cee Lo is that his name? Well I voted right

I actually like their cover very much and listen to it all the time but honestly there are no where to be in the "galaxy of the stars" that the organizers promised.

I liked there cover as well. But like you said they are not the stars that we were promised. So I will stay home and play angry birds

If they'r signing acts like ant farm then the show is in trouble lol.Any idea when the announcement will be? I wonder if any press will cover it this time. most only reported about the pies conference when the brothers publicly denounced it. They couldn't care less about the press conference itself.

A true tribute that would be worthy of Michael Jackson's name, would include names like Madonna, Whitney Houston, Prince, Diana Ross, Slash, ... You simply do not tempt to make a tribute of the number one artist in the world with second rang names.

P.S. Oh and why not include Barry Gibb with All In Your Name!

No, although I can see where you're coming when suggest other legends are the people who can provide the best tribute to MJ, I don't agree that it would be the best option. The tribute would be considered to be a much bigger deal (and a much bigger succcess) in the media and in the general public if the world's biggest stars all attended. The stars have to be the guys who draw the biggest crowds in the last few years, not 20 or 30 years ago. One hit wonders from 10 years ago should not even be considered, which is why if Alien Ant Farm on the billing that's a sure sign the show is in trouble. I can kinda see Craig David being in the list because he is a massive MJ fan and for a period of time was massive in the UK, but his involvement also indicates a lack of big name artists. Why bother with somebody who hasn't had a hit in 10 years if you have big stars banging your door down? (e.g. people like Beyone, Kanye, Jay Z, Chris Brown, Usher, Snoop, Bieber, Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Jason Derulo, Nicole ). By Craig announcing his involvement that just shows the right people aren't asking to get in on the act, which as we said before could be pertially due to the ridiculously short notice given. People have commitments. The run up to Christmas is a busy time for artists who are actively promoting their products.
For example, Jay and Kanye are due to be promoting their new album through October to late December so it'll be a miracle if either of those guys are available, even though we all know they were massive MJ fans. similarly Chris Brown and Bieber were MJ fans and have supposedly had to turn the event down due to prior commitments. The only big stars they are likely to get are those who are taking a break from promotion and not actively promoting anything at the moment. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong!!!

Well I agree with you on that they should also include stars of today but that's no reason why they wouldn't include the stars from Michael's time as well, specially if you're talking Madonna, Whitney and Prince. I said Barry Gibb only because of the latest duet. And I'm sorry to say that but I fear that Michael Jackson fans might not be to kind towards Bieber performing at a Michael Jackson tribute. He might be a fan but he never did anything with Michael, nor was he ever his "chart-fellow". And trust me, I know that MJ fans are able to show their ... disappointment towards the wrong guy on stage.

LOL, yes you're right, MJ fans aren't afraid to let somebody know they're not wanted on stage.

Exactly like they did towards the Kelly Family at the MJ and Friends concert in Munich 1999. And at the Earls Court in London, can't remember exactly who it was, but he/she appeared on stage directly after Michael.

Ivy...your gifs have been great comic relief. Keep it up...I expect to see more later today.

A big thank you.

Dont get me wrong guys but as much as i would love to see these acts doing a tribute like this to mj but i just dont see them doing it. Especially now with the murray trial coming up i get the feeling they are gonna stear clear of anying mj for a while till its over, i could be wrong but thats what im thinking.

So do we know what time the announcement will be made? I'm definitely not getting any hopes up- this announcement is likely to be cancelled too or only a few names will be announced rather than a huge line-up.

Wow. if these two do reschedule for the concert, i'll be REALLY impressed with their mj love. i know they're both big fans but thats commitment

their rescheduling has nothing to do with MJ. They basically cancelled all the shows and pushed it back several months and came up with all new dates and places. if their goal was to do the mj show, they would have only cancelled 1-2 shows in usa.

I don't think they rescheduled because of the MJ concert, but this now might leave them free to perform if they want to and if they have time. They'll be really busy in the run up to their concert with their own rehearsals and promotion for their album.
Everybody gets to choose 2 MJ songs that they wanna perform.
Which songs do you think the artists would choose?
Here are my guesses:

Cee-Lo Green - probably something from Off The Wall. Maybe Don't Stop Til You Get Enough and She's Out Of My Life
Craig David - Maybe She's Out Of My Life and Human Nature
Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal (their version) and Billie Jean (probably a cover of 'The Bates' version)
Kanye West & Jay Z - I actually think it would make sense for them to collaborate on a track. They're working together at the moment anyway so could easily rehearse together. Also, it could act as good promotion for their collaboration album that just got released on itunes. I'm not sure which two songs they would choose. Maybe Kanye would do something with his remix of Billie Jean. Jay could do something with that song that sampled 'I Want You Back'.

Of course none of these artists (except maybe Craig David) are definite until the Jacksons announce the line up, but I think it's fun to guess.

Alien Ant Farm? Great! Their career has revolved around Michael so far. They scored their biggest and only hit with a Smooth Criminal remake, and now, this

And I remember they talking bad things about Michael - about not being invited to the show on MSG or something like that.

Billie Jean 78, what happened in Munich, the Kelly family? I was in the crowd at the world music awards when rihanna was booed
