So what time will the CNN-interview happen. Is it live on TV?

Does it seem strange to anybody else that the Jacksons would announce the artists for a concert being held in the UK (Wales more specifically) during an interview with an American news network (CNN)?

I know some people can access CNN from outside the US, but surely a UK network such as BBC or Sky News would have made much more sense because they're also worldwide stations and cater to UK audiences to a greater extent than CNN.

A UK network would be more appropriate IMHO.

It's almost 19:15 here in the UK and so they only really have another 3 hours to announce something before UK peeps start going to bed. If it doesn't happen in that timeframe then I guess it's not gonna happen today (I'm assuming they're not going to announce it when all of the UK is sleeping)

I think they're expecting to have an international show, with people coming from all over the world. I dont think they're especially targeting the UK fans, even if it would obviously be more convenient for them to attend.
And, the J's are not in the UK. None of them has left the US as far as we know (based on news and tweets), so I guess it makes more sense to them to appear on a US channel.
Personally I'm neither in the US or the UK, and it doesnt make much difference. lol

It could seem strange, still it's the Jacksons, so that means it's normal... but don't you remember, the Jacksons are the center of the world, the supreme royalty.. if Uk doesn't stay awake to hear their holy words, it's UK who has the problem...

On the other hand.. they probably didn't even think of that time factor... :ninja:

Yeah I know people will come from various countries to attend, and that the Jacksons are in the US. It just seems logical that they would announce the artists on a UK channel even if it meant getting up a little early to do so (or pre-recording something in advance). The Jacksons' aren't really logical though...

I think Michael himself has done the best tribute in This is it movie, with help of Kenny Ortega.

This is starting to get beyond a joke....I'm guessing its LA time, so its about 12:30 midday? By the time they make this announcement noone will be interested anymore, they will have spent their money on a concert to see someone who they know will definitely be performing that night.

Dont get me wrong guys but as much as i would love to see these acts doing a tribute like this to mj but i just dont see them doing it. Especially now with the murray trial coming up i get the feeling they are gonna stear clear of anying mj for a while till its over, i could be wrong but thats what im thinking.
I fear you might be right. Which only means to me that the tribute won't be worthy of Michael's name. If it will take place at all that is!

Billie Jean 78, what happened in Munich, the Kelly family? I was in the crowd at the world music awards when rihanna was booed
I was in London too and I thought about Rihanna but wasn't so sure. In 1999 The Kelly Family was one of the groups who appeared in the afternoon, kind of like a warm-up to Michael's part. I think they probably took things a bit to easy and I heard someone in the public say that they appear to be high. Their performance was booed which I thought was rather embarrassing. But it happened. It happened to Marlon Brando too at the MSG in 2001.

Leaving it this late today to announce it is abit of a slap in the face, great idea to announce it whilst the people of cardiff and the uk are in bed...

This is a joke and it's getting a little annoying...
The Jacksons can't organize anything to save their lives. I think I'd rather watch grass grow than this so-called tribute. Anyway, I'm off to bed, they can make their announcement when the the whole of Europe is asleep. Good effort, Jacksons.

wow still no announcements huh..well it is 3:55pm LA time...wonder what they are waiting for

OH those gifs, to use Michael's word are "BANGING." Keep it up.

Anyone bought their plan tickets and booked hotels yet. Don't forget to ask your bosses for the day off!
