:fear:

It's sooooooooooo funny that Randy and Jerma spend so much time to talk nonsense on twitter... but in this case, this hot mess, none of the family appears on twitter to say anything? That's funny. This is all a big joke. :sigh:

Craig David probably wasn't aware that the announcement was yet again delayed.

OMG! :fear:

Knock, Knock, "Is anyone there at the Tribute Headquarters? I want to buy some tickets."

"No. Please go away. We are closed."

So by the looks of the above poll and the lack of announcements....

This is gonna be one quiet concert....

Ich have once more readed the thread.
In post No. 115 by gareth_rogers is a link

There is a twitter- or facebook-copy by Gareth Rogers. He writes there:

6:11...Gareth Rogers:
Michael and I produced a biographical film in 2003 and I met up with some other members of his family

I remind in 2003 only Take 2 from Marc Schaffel.

From what "biographical film" was Rogers writing?

the documentry david guest was doing as that included interviews with fam members? that was a uk thing. of course mj wasnt involved.

Even Jermaine's two tributes that were cancelled were better organized than this.

Maybe is the forum user "gareth_rogers" identisch with Gareth Rogers of Wales-on-line. This can check Ivy easily …

Is Gareth Rogers a known man in England?
He w o u l d b e able to do No. Be 11 under this link: : http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Gareth/Rogers

The question is whether he firmly works for Wales-on-line. I think: No: He answers there on his Twitter also questions of fans …. on behalf of Global Live??? Maybe he works for them?

Something else other has occurred to me: Ian Barkley.

Here

and here
http://www.mjfranceforum.com/index.php?topic=22275.0

becomes per 14. Febr. 2011 a book of Ian Barkley announced which will probably never appear:
http://www.amazon.com/One-More-Chan...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1296750797&sr=8-1

The book was announced by ML Publishing .
And ML Publishing...... MJ Licensing in what Michael only half of it was involved......the owner of the other half who is now the adviser of Michael's father.....

Ian Barkley, Christian Robinson, Hamid Moslehi, Marc Schaffel, the adviser of Michael's father----- maybe there are threads to this Gareth Rogers. (???)

==================

Maybe, everyone can read my text and understand....(I know ist: My English is still awfull...)

@ Hello Ivy!, if my text is a nonsense, extinguish him please.

theres someone on here with that name? coincedence? prob not

Thanks.obviously him then.plugging his article.kinda sad.

Wow! You have a good memory @ mneme (actually your user name sounds like 'memory') LOL

nevertheless, this was a chance!
If I the chronology wanted to consider to me once again and had read, therefore, the whole Thread once again.
(I'm embarrassed a little bit)

However, it is more importantly now:
Who is this Gareth Rogers.... has everyone already heard or read of him earlier once....
Why does he write that he has worked in 2003 with Michael on a biographic film?

(Everybody knows, what was in 2002/2003 und what people around Michael!!!)

[h=1]Katherine Jackson Courting MASSIVE Stars for MJ Tribute Show[/h]

Michael Jackson's mom has personally reached out to some of the biggest music stars in the world in the hopes of getting them to perform at the big MJ tribute show in October ... but only ONE of them is a definite YES ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the concert tell us ... Jay-Z, Kanye West, Cee Lo, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, Usher and Bruno Mars have each received an invitation (pictured above) from Katherine Jackson ... asking them to perform 1 or 2 of their favorite MJ songs in Cardiff, Wales on Oct. 8.

Katherine promises each star who signs on will be provided with "first class travel accommodations."

We're told Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars have each respectfully declined the invite due to scheduling conflicts ... however, Christina and Kanye are leaning towards "Yes."

As for the one person who's already signed on the dotted line -- sources tell us Cee Lo from Gnarls Barkley was quick to commit.

Tickets to the event have not gone on sale yet -- but promoters say they will become available once a complete line-up is booked.

i thought they said everyone was booked up already lol

Maybe they told KJ she'd better get them a galaxy of stars or they want the check back... lol

And it's almost mid august... maybe they should hurry a little...

lol ... Funny. Desperation is a funny thing.

If these stars know what's good for them...they will stay away from that sinking ship. Cee-Lo is his own floatation device ..so I guess he's willing to take the risk.

Looks like they're reaching out to the right people, but they've left it far too late. Contacting major stars with only two months notice is ludicrous. These people make commitments 6 - 12 months in advance in many cases. Artists like Chris Brown, Bruno Mars and Bieber would have been great for the show (in terms of media attention, credibility etc) and would have jumped at the chance to perform at an MJ tribute and must be gutted that they can't make it.
Signing the available stars to perform is one major hurdle when it's so close to the concert, but ensuring that the show runs smoothly will be almost impossible. Once the artists are signed, somebody has got to sort out the show timings, who is going to sing which songs, and how potential collaborations will work, not to mention allowing time for the artists to rehearse properly, and organising the staging in terms of costumes, video screens, special effects etc. This could turn out to be a disorganised mess.
It's good to see that things may finally be starting to come together but as we all know MJ liked things on a grand scale. Getting the world's biggest artists at short notice is difficult (if not impossible), but putting together a visually stunning show on the scale of the ones we're now used to seeing (e.g. from the likes of Take That etc.) will be impossible. They're going to have to go with the minimalist approach, which is not how MJ would want it.
If Chris Brown and Bruno Mars had confirmed their attendance, and if they were joined by Kanye, Jay Z, Usher, Cee-lo then I would definitely have bought tickets. I would still like to see Cee Lo and Kanye, but I wouldn't go just to see them. A 4 hour concert will seriously drag if there are only a handful of artists I want to see.
