well that's what's already happening on german tv.
Yesterday the german tabloid tv shows like taff on Pro7, leute heute on ZDF and even the stupid RTL with it's exclusive showed a short video of Jermaine walking around in the castle of Schönbrunn (almost in tears FAKE) talking about his brother Michael and how much Michael would have loved everything he/Jermaine does.

Honestly it almost made me puke the water I just drunk out. So pathetic and fake he was so overemotional trying to talk...

Jermaine was ridiculed in each show I've watched because the media here is also only on the 'Jermaine is doing what is best for Jermaine' train... no matter if this is really his motivation.
Also I really fear the event will go into the mud before it starts... cuz simply Jermaine has proven before his talking skills are might be ok but his skills to keep up with his own words in the following are simply not as good.

I would love a tribute organized by the family... brothers and sisters... but Jermaine seems to be also not compatible for that? well the whole family seems not really be able or willing for that and it's just not looking too nice to then just go for what it is Jermaine alone finds apropriate.

I really wish this tribute all the best only, simply because it is already now so much connected to Michaels name.

But as Jermaine is the one who wants to pull the strings... yet I can't see anything good coming out there.

Maybe it is really meant all well... again I'm more worried than really wishing or calling Jermaine bad.
 
First Chris Brown and then Mary J? Did Jermaine ever ask these people to participate before he put their names down as performers? Seriously :doh: I am reminded of the days when Jermaine would go on and on about Jackson family reunion concerts and Michael would always have to come out and deny it. I don't have a problem with Jermaine doing this show. As long as it's a tribute to MICHAEL and it doesn't turn into a Jermaine Jackson concert, I'm happy. But the fact that 2 performers have already denied that they are going to perform at this tribute, makes me question Jermaine's ability to organise this. I'm scared it's gonna be one big huge disaster.

All (?!) the money will go to charities.

What most people don't know is that this isn't just Jermaine's idea, Larry King's wife is behind this also.
Both Jermaine and Larry Kings wife was at Larry King Live talking about this a month ago.

I would've been pissed at this and especially the merchandise being sold if it wasn't for charities.

This is all that have held me back from badmouthing Jermaine.

Yes, and Larry King's wife has backed out of performing.

And NO, ALL the money will NOT go to charities, only an unnamed "significant portion".
 
I think his heart is in the right place - but the method is out of wack.

It's a little bit gaudy - and I don't really like any of the artists who are performing (apart from Natalie Cole).

I wish Jermaine all the best in making this concert a success...
 
Well I hope it comes off as a success since it's all about MJ/charities, I really hope nothing shady happens b4, during, and after. God know ppl are looking for Jermaine to fail and then the newspapers, blogs, and even ppl on MJJC would have a field day with the "I Told You SOs".

Well for all the ppl that are able to attend that are members here on MJJC I hope you all have a blast and not cry to much when they show MJ videos.

The stage is wonderful, I think MJ would like it

Jermaine is just straight up being used. No way in the world he should've put a show together with Larry King's wife. He's the one that's getting all the attacks now and will be the one to get the blame if this show fails like folks think it will.

Katherine Jackson and Jemaine JacksonKatherine Jackson and other members of her family are angry at Jermaine over the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Vienna -- this according to various sources.

Members of the Jackson family along with others connected with the event claim Katherine was badgered into announcing her support of the September 26 event. The sources say Jermaine was complaining to his mom about all the bad press he was receiving and repeatedly asked her to support the Vienna event.

Our sources say other than Jermaine none of the other family members will be going to Vienna for the concert.

The sources say the family thinks it makes no sense to hold the first tribute event in a country that has no special connection to Michael Jackson.

One family member says it's another example of Jermaine doing what's best for Jermaine, regardless of what the rest of the family wants. The family member scoffed at the event, calling it "The Jermaine Jackson show."

As soon as I heard this was being organised by Jermaine I knew this would be a train wreck. Jermaine is all about self-promotion, but what he doesn't get is that nobody wants to hear from him and nobody wants to see him push himself to the front like he has been doing. As somebody else said, he as the promoter should be concentrating on getting great acts and promoting them (and MJ), not himself.
When the family initially denied their involvement in this show I wasn't surprised.
Jermaine's choice of country to host this event is terrible. It should be in London or in the US, nowhere else.
When Katherine wrote her letter of 'approval' I was surprised but expected that Jermaine had badgered her into it.
I wasn't surprised when the performers weren't announced initially, and I wasn't surprised when only a handful were announced yesterday. I'm not even surprised now Chris Brown and Mary J are confirmed as not attending! This is ridiculous!
Unfortunately Jermaine is ruining the chances of Michael Jackson having a meaningful tribute concert like Freddie and Diana had. this show is going to be considered the official tribute by many of the public because a Jackson is fronting the show, and when it goes wrong it will reflect badly on Mike. Jermaine is just being a parasite on Michael Jackson's memory.

We are being realistic. No one wants to be negative! If it was planned correctly and done the right way at the appropriate timing, fans would be positive!

You guys will see why we were worried once it turns into a disaster.

Seriously though, the tribute concert was a GREAT IDEA, but I fear it might end up a damp squib. I for one am not interested in other people singing Michael's songs. What for? I can put on his music or a DVD and watch the real master at work?
When I saw Jermaine in a Michael-style KOP top coming down those steps, I felt a chill run through me.
 
I think if Janet organised a tribute concert for Michael it would have a brilliant and diverse line up with huge names from current to vertran artists. Janet is highly respected in the music business, Jermaine I have to say isn't and is just relying on Michael's name and family friends who may not even have been Michael's friends.

yeah i know that with technology everything is possible....but i dunno whether Michael would want this at all...a duet with Jermaine? :doh:
if he wanted it i think he would have sang it with him already...
plus i think it will really confuse the kids, especially Blanket, who still is waiting his daddy home etc...it would be a shock for him to see his daddy as a hologram or anything:(

yet jermaines got his stamp all over this event.. that i really thhink its only going to embarass him

i just feel so sorry for his kids having to watch that hollogram thing. i really dont know whether to laugh or cry. I really cant think of anything in poorer taste.

can you imagine a hollogram of princess Di walking out at her memorial concert with prince william or something? nevermind the fact hes only been gone 3 months

my thoughts! How long it took? 3-4 years to have the memorial show in the Wembley?
MJ hasnt even been put to grave for a month by the 26Sept and will sing live onstage again...please...:no::no:

this extra pisses me off!

Michael’s generosity extended beyond the charities he supported. When a girlneeded a liver transplant and no one wanted to pay for it, Michael took care of it. No fanfare, no publicity.

I'm disgusting at Jermaine because of the intentions. YUCK. Now if Janet done this, that's great because it would be truly from the heart FOR MICHAEL not for herself.

Although I hate this, the one positive thing that comes out of it is that it puts Michael's name and music back in the spotlight again and people would be watching it like "This is NOTHING compared to MICHAEL JACKSON"
