u don't have to agree with it..im just saying what i know...like i said im not agreeing or condoning what he did but Chris isn't bad like people think he is..i've known Chris since he was 15 not saying we are best of friends but i know him well enough to say that he aint a bad person and people need to lay off the boy. nobody knows exactly what happened between him and ri ri and i just don't think all the hate towards him is fair.

he is a talented young man and he would do wonderful in a tribute to Michael

Well vey well, this is what a mother should do, it was way to stupid this "tribute concert" more like a "Hello im jermaine this is my only chance to get attention, using my brothers death name"

yes, jermaine is his brother but he didnt act like a good one, i only trust Janet as the one who really loved Michael for him nt for his money, Janet has her own money, and the tribute concert i'll go will be the one she organizes

1) He beat the hell out of her

2) He bit her

3) Then he choked her until she passed out

4) He left her on the side of the road for dead

5) He took off with his body guards.

6) He is now a convicted felon.

Maxwell's new album is great - Birthday Sex guy, I'm intrigued, can anyone elaborate.

Elvis is "touring" the UK in Feb via hologram, they did it in the West End with Sinatra as well.

I'm a bit pissed off at all the merchandise and stuff, but the proceeds will hopefully go to the fundations that this event is created to support. That would be good :)
I think that if Jermaine really wants to carry (not replace) Michael's legacy as it appears as he's trying to do - then it's important that he keeps on working with charities so it doesn't come up as something he does for his self gain.
I have no problem with him carrying Michael's legacy as long as he does that in taste, and not self gain. If I see Jermaine drop an album in the nearest future I'd be pissed off.

EDIT: Am I the only one that is surprised that there isn't any bigger artists performing at this event?
Mary J is the only one that makes me go "wow".

and NO we don't know what exactly happened because none of us were there as witnesses and im in no way implying that I do. Im just saying LAY OFF THE KID...he has done nothing to any of you personally, he made a mistake, he apologized, he felt extremely bad for what he did and he's trying to move on with his life and career. The public refuses to leave that boy alone! the whole thing has been one-sided from the beginning and that is not fair at all!

I mean, for an event like this I expect something bigger, like Destiny's Child coming back together to perform, and bring back some of the artists Michael worked with in the past.
Would love to see James Ingram perform for Gloria Estefan again like in the 30th anniversary, and also Whitney Houston & Usher.
Bring out Stevie Wonder again, like in the memorial.
R. Kelly, Alicia Keys and Brian Mcknight would be nice also.
 
its just like Michael Vick...HE IS NOT A BAD PERSON! i've known him since i was in the 9th grade and he has always been nice. the media made him out to be this monster and his crime to seem worse than what it really is...it just isn't fair i hate to see my good black brothers be treated unfairly

The saddest thing about this is that any idea of a Michael Jackson tribute is slowly going to become a joke because of this circus that Jermaine is creating. When the time comes to do a legitimate tribute worthy of MJ (along the lines of the Freddy Mercury and Princess Diana concerts) many artists will probably shy away from it because of all this nonsense. And all this back and forth with the family and their approval/disapproval doesn't help.
 
Ok people. You need to stop bashing ok. Mary J blidge is a good singer maybe the only in the lineup, but I think she will do MJs songs justice
 
Natalie Cole? Mary J? Chris Brown? I approve.

Also, I'll be really surprised if Ne-Yo isn't there, unless he had a tight schedule conflict.
