You shouldn't let the Cascio tracks take the shine off genuinely inspired LEGITIMATE songs which deserve credit.

That hurts me though, because the price of the album was worth behind the mask and another day alone. So based on those it's amazing. But yeah, the Cascio tracks have proven to be a real downer to this album. If they weren't on it, I'd love it a whole lot more.

1. Album artwork B- It's ok not as good as Dangerous IMO.
2. Album production C goes with song selection
3. Album promotion F I didn't see 1 advertisement, and Hold My Hand was no where to be heard on radio.
4. Song selection IP An incomplete here. Sony & The Estate should have removed the questionable tracks, and there should have been more than 10 songs.
5. Song quality C Apart from the questionable songs, I thought the quality could have been better. Another Day is ok, but maybe the original leaked version is better. The spoken part in Hollywood ruined that song IMO, and Much Too Soon is just too damn short. Way You Love Me had no business being on this album as it was already released

1. Album artwork: C: would have preferred recent pictures of Michael
2. Album production: D: too many ad libs processed in and overmanipulation of songs
3. Album promotion: F- : no one in mid-America knew about the album! No radio play, no signs, nothing.
4. Song selection: 7/10 songs = B; 3/10 = F. Should have used Place with no Name, Blue Gangster, etc.
5. Song quality: A to Best of Joy and Much Too Soon. The simpler, the better. Overproduction on Hollywood Tonight, Another Day and ETC. (you know what I mean?)

Overall Grade:compared to other living artists of today: B; compared to Michael's standards: D- I don't think he would have released much of it in this state.

Clever answer, but I urge people not to let the Cascio tracks overshadow the great stuff on 'Michael'.

Songs like Another Day, Much Too Soon & especially Behind The Mask deserves plaudits.
 
The gold songs are Best of Joy, Behind the Mask, and Much Too Soon..For me...
 
Not knowing the absolute truth has an influence on my grading.
As far being able to dance to them - A for the uptempos.
As far as the lyrics - For most of them, B.
Attitude or rendering of the vocals - B+ because it's not a whole lot like a polished one of Michael's singing.
Background is a curiosity. I think it may have been near acceptable to MJ - B+.
Rap is not my favorite choice of music save only a few. - C.
I think when all is said and done, I will grade it overall a - B.
