The commentator says: And as you can see there's Kimi Räikkönen, this time, definitely in recognisable costum, unlike back home in Finland (referring to the gorilla costum) :D

I really like Luca's behaviour towards Kimi. I always got the feeling as if they were father and son. Here's a .gif file:

Hmm, so - they will get the 3 race ban or not? Or are they waiting for the decision?

They'll get the 3 race ban when they'd do such a mistake again which is against the rules in the next 12 months.

"That penalty is a suspension of the team from three races of the FIA Formula One World Championship. This will only be applied if further facts emerge regarding the case or if, in the next 12 months, there is a further breach by the team of article 151c of the International Sporting Code."

£40 million budget cap and 13 teams for 2010

Formula One racing’s governing body, the FIA, has revised its budget cap plans for 2010. Teams signing up for the optional cap must limit their spending to £40 million per year (£10 million higher than originally proposed) in exchange for greater technical freedom. This will not include driver salaries or, for 2010 only, engine costs.

Thirteen teams will be accepted for next year’s championship and all must apply by May 29, 2009, stating whether they wish to compete under the budget cap or not. New constructors will be eligible for a participation fee and assistance with travel expenses from commercial rights holder Formula One Management.

A new Costs Commission will monitor and enforce the budget-cap regulations. Those teams accepting the cap will be able to run constantly adjustable wings, engines with no rev limit, more powerful KERS systems, and - in theory - four-wheel drive. They will also be allowed unlimited out-of-season track testing with no restrictions on the scale and speed of wind tunnel testing.

Other 2010 changes for all teams include the expected ban on refueling and tyre warmers, and an increase in the minimum car weight from 605 to 620kg, a move designed to offset the disadvantage heavier drivers face when running KERS.

New Zealander Brendon Hartley will serve as Red Bull’s reserve driver at next weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix, after being granted the necessary Formula One super license on Wednesday.

How cute ^_^

Yes, I've seen that house. I don't like it to be honest. The one in Wollerau was much nicer and friendlier to me. But, it's his decision. Maybe this has a bigger garage for his "toys". :cheeky:

It was in the F1 Racing Magazine!!!

Fines for 2008:
1. Kimi - £13,200
2.Barrichello - £12,400
3. Coulthard - £10,600

The best quote from the article:
"It's impossible to slow Kimi Räikkönen down!":punk:

Sad news :(

RIP, Alexander Mosley, eldest son of Max Mosley

Source: autosport.com

FIA president Max Mosley's son Alexander has been found dead at his London home.

Alexander Mosley, who was a 39-year-old economist, was discovered by a relative at his home in Notting Hill yesterday afternoon. He has not yet been formally identified.

"We were called at 16.20pm on Tuesday to reports of a male found dead at a property in W11," said a statement from Scotland Yard.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man is in his late thirties.

"We believe we know the identity of the deceased. The Coroner's office has been informed."

The FIA has expressed its sympathy for the Mosley family.

"The FIA extends sincere condolences to the Mosley family on the sad news of the death of Alexander Mosley," said a statement from motorsport's governing body.

"Our thoughts are with Alexander's family and friends, and we would request that the media respect the Mosley family's privacy at this difficult time."

Kimi at the opening of the Ferrari store

London, 6th May 2009 – Ferrari Formula One driver Kimi Räikkönen today officially opened the UK’s first Ferrari Store at 193-197 Regent Street in the very heart of London. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by Räikkönen and Dany Bahar, Ferrari Senior Vice President, Direzione Commerciale & Brand.

The Ferrari driver then performed the now-traditional signing of the store counter after which there was a special reception for a select group of guests and Ferrari Owners. The day also featured a spectacular display of both new and classic Ferraris which, having first called to the Store, parked on Conduit Street for all to admire.

At the Ferrari Store inauguration, Kimi Raikkonen spoke about the upcoming race weekend:

“We’ve got some updates for Barcelona, especially as far as the aerodynamic is concerned. This weekend we’ll see if we managed to make a step ahead compared to our competitors. We know what we have to do to get back on top, but it takes some time.

"It was a very difficult start to the season, that’s true, but we’re a team: you win and you loose together. We all want to win. I know that we will, but I don’t know when. This is racing, sometimes it happens that you get stuck in a difficult period. I’ve been in Formula One for years and I know that a year like this can happen: it’s difficult to win all the time.

"There were many rule changes and the big teams were in trouble, but they will get back on top. We have to be realistic: as far as the Championships are concerned the situation is difficult, but we’ll give it everything to catch up, to improve the car race after race. We have to start winning and then we’ll see what’s going to happen.”

Well, if this experience helped her to change her mind about Kimi, then it's good. :)

Nice comment:
I was fortunate enough to meet all the drivers in 2005 (well I say meet, it wasn’t really a stop and chat, more of a brief encounter whilst they signed my book in most cases), when I was in Montreal and Indianapolis, and Kimi was by far and away not the most abrupt of the drivers. When I saw him in the Montreal paddock he stopped and gave me a couple of minutes of his time to sign a picture I had for my sister, and was friendly and didn’t look like he wanted to be somewhere else. Then in Indianapolis when he was coming out of the circuit in his car and there were heaps of people waiting, he wound down the window as the car crawled out so he could sign peoples stuff, for as long as he possibly could. He didn’t have to do that, he could have just driven straight out. I don’t usually spend too much time hunting for autographs or owt, if I happen to be in the right place at the right time then ace, but I always appreciate the time taken by a driver to sign things or pose for photos, it doesn’t really take much of their time, not really, and it means so much to a lot of their fans, myself included. My experiences of seeing Kimi stop to do this is nothing but positive.

Goooo Nico :clapping: Good job!

Hmm, I really really hope Ferrari has better car now..

^^^I hope so too!!!!

Kimi is quite happy, then I'm happy!!!

Kimi Raikkonen: “We have definitely made a step forward in performance terms on the car: you can feel a greater level of aerodynamic downforce and that’s what we needed. Sure, it’s Friday and it’s always difficult to draw conclusions, but the feeling is that we have closed the gap to the top cars. Here, just as at the last race, the harder tyre is a bit difficult, while on the softer one, we’re reasonably good. Tomorrow morning, we’ll work on qualifying, given that today we concentrated on race preparation. All in all, I am happy with how things went today.”

:clapping::punk:

Button:
Ferrari were quite good this morning , so I don't know," said Button. "They might be playing games. A lot of people do on Fridays. We have in the past. So we wait and see. We are just running through our programme.
:cheeky:

One of my forum friends wrote this, who is there in Barcelona:
I got to say I´m not worried about the pace of the cars today as this was really a test day for the new parts. I spent a lot of time in FP2 watching Kimi´s on board camera (on the Kangaroo TV) and that car looked pretty planted through the corners, only on the first lap out was he fighting the steering wheel, after that it looked pretty damn good to me!!!
