Formule 1

Good job Kimi :clapping:
I don't want to complain about that he lost his place to Barrichello, I'm so glad to see Ferrari at the top again :) As Kimi said, too, 3rd and 4th is very good considering their difficult start to the season.

One thing I love about Button is that he is always so sincerely happy with his win ^_^ I hope he's the one who wins the champion if not Kimi.

And it was a shame Heikki hit the wall. He was doing good.

wooohooo :clapping:I'm so happy!!!

I was so nervous before the start that I thought my heart couldn't take it any longer...
icon2_laugh.gif
I couldn't watch the last 10 laps sitting but I had to stand up.
icon2_laugh.gif

It was so nice to see Kimi up there on the podium, all sweaty and smiling and waiting for the champagne!!! Bless him! My mother counted and said that Kimi was fidgeting during the press conference 11 times!!!!!!

I'm very very very happy for Kimi for the first podium of this year! He did all that he could to reach this result. He couldn't have hold back Barrichello anyway, so I'm happy with P3. The Brawn cars are unbeatable right now. So, this was the maximum, and Kimi has done it. With fully concentrated, beautiful driving, without any mistakes. So, I'm so proud of him and I'm proud to be a Kimi fan!!!!
icon2_biggrin.gif

Yesterday evening I was thinking about he could win but today I just saw that it's impossible. Brawns are much better on the tyres.

Soo, Gooo Kimi, there's much more to come from the Kimster!!!!

One of the best posts on the Kimi forum from today:

When massa was pushing kimi it would have been so easy for the kimster to lose focus... he had to save his tyres, he had to watch his mirrors, and watch the walls of the street track, not to mention the sheer pressure on his shoulders knowing the ferrari fans all over the world were hinging their hopes on him to score the team's first podium.

And guess what? he held it together. the kimster displayed cool, calm, and calculated aggression and got it all right. his driving was smooth (minus the trip over the chicanes) and aggressive and he displayed everything that we've come to respect and love him for.

So, i know kimi isn't happy with his 3rd, hell even a 2nd would not make him happy (he said so himself), but i'm really chuffed for him. Considering how strong the first 2 cars were, kimi did an absolutely fantastic job today.

Very important news!!!:D

Mosley: Cost cap solution in sight

FIA president Max Mosley is confident a solution to the row over cost cuts can be found soon, after admitting that the governing body is ready to be flexible on its plans for a voluntary budget cap in Formula 1.

Following the latest round of talks that situation appears to be heading towards a resolution. The controversy has dominated headlines for the past few weeks, and Mosley said he was optimistic of a solution being found.

One possibility being discussed is a higher budget cap for 2010, before implementing the FIA's plans for a £40 million limit the following year. Alternatively, more aggressive cost cuts could be implemented for next year prior to the budget cap in 2011.

"I can imagine we can take it through one year if possible [with the] higher figure and then go to the full cap in 2011, but that's something under discussion," he told the Reuters news agency. "This is a possibility."

It is understood that teams proposed their version of a cost cuts package to Mosley during their meeting on Friday - which was a budget cap in all but name.

Mosley made it clear, however, that the figure could not change much from the £40 million already on the table - although exceptions to what is included in the budget cap could be made.

"Ultimately, it's going to have to be that sort of region," he said. "Just imagine in today's world, you go out to get sponsorship and you are just an ordinary team, so to raise 45 million Euros is a massive undertaking.

"Everybody can talk figures, well it ought to be this figure or that figure, but if a team cannot raise the money, then there is nothing they can do."

With next Friday's deadline for entries to the 2010 championship looming, it is looking increasingly likely that current teams will submit their applications - although under the pre-condition that they will only see through their intention to enter if they are happy with the technical and sporting regulations as they end up.

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh said he hoped that the current grid would commit in its entirety - despite speculation that Toyota and Renault could quit irrespective of cost-cutting plans.

"I hope all 10 teams here sign up. I think lots of people have expressed views as to whether they will or they won't," said Whitmarsh. "Expressing those publicly I don't think helps.

"It's ridiculous if we between us, the governing body, commercial rights holder and 10 teams in Formula 1, cannot find a constructive way forward. At the end of the day there are no guarantees from any of these teams they are going to be here next year or in the years to come.

"But with all due respect to new entrants, it's a big ask to jump into Formula 1, even with budget caps or whatever. The risk of a new entrant failing is always going to be greater than any of these teams failing or withdrawing. We have to make sure we keep them in."

Mosley said he believed Ferrari would commit its entry 'by Friday', but felt that 'one or two' manufacturers may be ready to walk.

"I am confident Ferrari will still be here," said Mosley. "[But] I think one or two of them may have to stop but it is nothing to do with these discussions.

"It is very difficult for a major manufacturer to continue in F1 when they are economising in their factories by shutting off every other lift, turning down the electricity, not cleaning the windows, not serving coffee at the meetings.

"A company that is in that sort of situation is unlikely to go on pouring massive money into F1. So there is a danger, and that's what started the whole thing with the new teams.

"So we are going to lose one or two manufacturers and or independent teams, we can't assume that things will continue. That's what provoked the whole of this. If we hadn't had the present crisis, we wouldn't be having these discussions."

Mosley was optimistic that moving the budget cap higher for 2010 would not discourage new teams coming in.

"The main thing for the new teams is that they shouldn't be behind technically, and there are ways of overcoming that problem," he said.

Brawn -boss: The fight will escalate

Nick Fry believes the comptetition of the top places will escalate on the Turkish Gp. Team that celebrated double-win in Monaco waits especially Ferrari to approve big time. BrawnGp has dominated the beginning of the season but Fry doesn't think the situation will stay the same.
- We are realistic about it because we know that especially Ferrari is really catching up. The next two gp's will be again completely different, very fast races. We will probably have some difficulties to maintain our level, tells Fry.
Fry thanks also Mercedes-Benz -who delivers teams engines- for the succesful season start.
- Big part of the honour belongs to Mercedes-Benz. I don't know if it has been noticed but the engine in Jenson Buton's car is the first engine ever that has won three races in a row, Fry reminded.

I've heard about that before and it's really incredible!!!

FOTA agrees on plan to help new teams

The Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) has agreed to propose a system of technical partnerships for new teams to assist them in joining the grid in 2010, following a meeting between the team principals in London yesterday, AUTOSPORT has learned.
As the teams close in on an agreement with the FIA over the future regulations of F1 ahead of tomorrow's 2010 entry deadline, FOTA hopes this compromise would allow prospective new teams assistance from the established operations to compete credibly in their first seasons without having to fund a significant increase beyond the set budget cap.
FOTA is pushing for a "glidepath" approach to adopting the budget cap regulations, with a two-step reduction in expenditure in 2010 and 2011.
This would see expenditure limited to €100 million in 2010, dropping to €45 for the following season.
The technical partnerships would give the new teams assistance in terms of parts, particularly non-performance differentiators, as well as some design know-how.
The FOTA proposal is believed to stop short of allowing full-blown customer cars, something that is strongly opposed by several teams, and would be structured to ensure that the newcomers compete under the budget cap in their own right in 2011.
FOTA also discussed further ways to develop the budget cap concept, with the possibility of some commonality of non-performance differentiators still on the table in a bid to repackage the imposed limit as a programme of cost containment.
Although final agreement has not been reached, it is believed that both the FIA and FOTA are confident that a resolution can be found ahead of the entry deadline.

Hanna, can you please tell me what is this about?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_850zMyBtkw

Thank you very much in advance! :)
Haha, that was actually funny.

It's a radio show where they do prank calls to different places.
In that one Jenni is about to call to some hotel and she needs to ask a room for Valentine's Day and require that there's champagne, strawberries, eucalyptus perfume in the sauna, a mirror on the ceiling and a private place to have dinner when she arrives.
Expect that she was quite incredulous about the mirror the woman who answers the phone actually says that they can take care of those things

^^^Hanna! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!

The best news!!!! What a relief!!!! :cheeky:

FOTA teams submit F1 entries for 2010:punk:

All the current Formula 1 teams have submitted their entries to the FIA for the 2010 championship, FOTA confirmed on Friday.
The Formula One Teams' Association said, however, that their entries were conditional on a new Concorde Agreement being signed by all parties before 12th June.
"The renewal of the Concorde Agreement will provide security for the future of the sport by binding all parties in a formal relationship that will ensure stability via sound governance," said FOTA in a statement.
The teams' body also said that the entries were conditional on the regulations being based on 2009 rules, "identical for all competitors and amended in accordance with proposals that FOTA has submitted to the FIA."
"All FOTA teams' entries for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship have been submitted today on the understanding that (a) all FOTA teams will be permitted to compete during the 2010 Formula One season on an identical regulatory basis and (b) that they may only be accepted as a whole," added the statement.
"All FOTA teams now look forward with optimism to collaborating proactively and productively with the FIA, with a view to establishing a solid foundation on which the future of a healthy and successful Formula One can be built, providing lasting stability and sound governance."
The FIA announced earlier this year the introduction of a budget cap system from the 2010 season.
Those teams adhering to the system would get greater technical freedom, something that most FOTA teams have spoken against.
At least four of the current teams have threatened to withdraw from the sport if the two-tier system came into play next year.
The window to submit entries for 2010 closes today.

Sorrily Kimi had to retire from the race during the Rally de la Marca. :( Till then he was quite good, overall 15th out of 94 and only 1,34 min from the leader.

Today on the third special test, the novel "Castles" of 11.79 kilometers, Raikkonen was wrong the right rear wheel so they can not get the mechanics. End of the race for the guest of exception

I've already made 2 summaries about the 2 rallies Kimi took part in so I thought it's time to make one with the 3rd one too. Even though it didn't end how Kimi wanted it, anyway... here you go:

Ooh I love the pics you used there, especially in the beginning when Kimi was signing his autograph :)

There was a headline on MTV3's site: Look at Kimi's angel curls! :D

Heikki was the fastest in the second practise. I really hope everything goes well this weekend for him. He has struggled so hard previously..

Kimi's angel curls! Sounds good!

I hope the best for Heikki, would be cool if he could beat Hamster.

I'd love to see Kimi beating Massa at Massa's favourite track. It would be great!!!!

Ross Brawn thinks that Ferrari have improved very much!

But Kimi:

"Raikkonen frustrated with the conditions"

- The car felt good in the morning. For afternoon all the parts were put on the car that Felipe already had in the morning. It was quite good first with the old tires but when we put the new tires it somehow suddenly disappeared. It seemed to be difficult for everyone else too. I don't know, the weather might have changed or something happened with the track, it was quite difficult, Raikkonen commented to MTV3.

- At the end we changed the car quite a lot for the last set of tires which we drove for a longer time and it felt again more normal, Kimi continued.

-If we get the car suitable for the weather, I think that we can get a quite good result. If the weather changes as quickly (as today), then it can be difficult to get the car suitable, Kimi said.

Oh, yeah, and I almost forget to tell that I've read at the official KR forum that

Oskari Saari walked by Vettel in Monaco and Vettel was singing by himself an old Finnish (and stupid) schlager 'Pylly vasten pyllyä pum pum'

I've searched for this song on YouTube and it is so funny!!! LOL I bet Kimi showed this song to Seb. It's a silly song but still it stuck in my head!

I so can imagine them playing badminton and singing this song freely and loudly and laughing like crazy... They are like kids.:D:cheeky:

No posts in a week  This must be a new record :D I spend the week without almost any electricity in our summer cottage so I couldn't even comment on the Turkey Gp.. though there's not much to say about it, I almost don't even remember what happened there.
It's funny to realize that in most cases the bad things happen always only to the other driver of the team.. in McLaren, it's almost always Heikki who has the worst luck and it's seems also that Button is in better position than Barichello at Brawn Gp..

Ferrari vows to ignore automatic entry

Ferrari has reacted angrily to the FIA’s decision to include it in the 2010 entry list as a confirmed entrant and insists it will not take part in next year’s championship unless its conditions are met.
The governing body published the long-awaited list of successful 2010 applicants on Friday morning, splitting the 13 teams into a group of eight whose entries have been accepted unconditionally, and five others who have been given a week to drop their conditions or lose their slots.
Ferrari was incensed to find its name in the former category given that it had attached the same conditions to its application as the five FOTA-aligned teams who have been given a provisional status.
The FIA’s action was widely anticipated since it has maintained throughout that Ferrari is contracted to Formula 1 until 2012 under the Concorde Agreement it signed in 2005.
But the Maranello squad remains adamant that this contract is no longer valid and has issued a statement vowing to disregard the unconditional entry bestowed upon it.
“Ferrari shall not take part in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship until the conditions of its entry are satisfied,” the statement said.
“Following publication of the list of entries for the 2010 Formula One World Championship, which includes Ferrari as an unconditional entrant, Ferrari wishes to state the following:
“Ferrari submitted on 29 May 2009 an entry to the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship which is subject to certain conditions.
“As of today, these conditions have not been met.
“Notwithstanding this and despite Ferrari's previous written notice to the FIA not to do so, the FIA has included Ferrari as a unconditional participant in next year's Formula One World Championship.
“For the avoidance of any doubt, Ferrari reaffirms that it shall not take part in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship under the regulations adopted by the FIA in violation of Ferrari's rights under a written agreement with the FIA.”
Ferrari claims its contract with the FIA and Bernie Ecclestone was in effect torn up when the governing body unilaterally forced through rule changes for next season, bypassing the established forum of the Formula One Commission.
Red Bull also signed agreements with the FIA and FOM in 2005 and its two teams were listed in the ‘confirmed’ group even though they too submitted conditional entries.
Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso have issued identical statements saying they remain committed to the Formula One Teams’ Association and stand by its conditions.
RBR said: “Following the FIA’s publication of the entry list for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship, Red Bull Racing would like to make it clear that its entry was submitted as a conditional entry, consistent with those of all other FOTA members.
“Red Bull Racing remains committed to FOTA and fully endorses all its principles.”

There wasn't anything to tell about the Turkish GP. I didn't see it, it was the first GP since 2005, since I have been a Kimi fan that I haven't seen a GP live but afterwards I can say that thank God that I didn't see it. All the people say it was boring, they didn't show Kimi at all and it was crap at the beginning and it was worse till the end. I start to dislike this Button (Puttonen :D - Kimi said it in his preview) era. Reminds me of Schumi. Always and everything is fine, the car, the strategy, the team, the pit stops, etc.

I was (am still) so fed up with all the circus going on in F1 that I didn't have the mind to post anything.

I was waiting for the FIA's decision on Friday and it looks like that this whole "never ending story" hasn't come to an end, still. I hate Mad Max, I hate Bernie.

I don't know what's going to happen but I have a feeling that Ferrari and other teams would start a breakaway series. Max won't back up it seems and FOTA won't either.

There are an interesting article though from Friday, it goes like this:

ACEA backs FOTA in regards to FIA governance

The European Automobile Manufacturer's Association (ACEA) has stepped into the row engulfing Formula 1 - and claimed that the current governance of the sport cannot continue.
On a frantic day of activity following the FIA's publication of the 2010 entry list, the ACEA discussed the situation during a meeting in Brussels and decided that the way F1 was run had to change.
In a statement issued on Friday, the ACEA said: "Today, the members of the Board of the European Automobile Manufacturer's Association discussed the current situation prevailing in Formula 1, and have concluded that the current governance system cannot continue.
"ACEA has come to the conclusion that the FIA needs a modernised and transparent governance system and processes, including the revision of its constitution, to ensure the voice of its members, worldwide motorsport competitors and motorists are properly reflected."
The ACEA went on to state that it supported the efforts of its car manufacturer members in trying to change F1.
"The ACEA members support the activities and objectives of the Formula One Teams' Association to establish stable governance, clear and transparent rules which are common to all competitors to achieve cost reductions including a proper attribution of revenues to the F1 teams, in order to deliver a sustainable attractive sport for the worldwide public.
"Unless these objectives are met, the BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes, Renault and Toyota along with the other teams are determined to find an alternative way to practice this sport in a manner which provides clarity, certainty of rules and administration, and a fair allocation of revenues to the competing teams. "
The ACEA was founded in 1991 and represents 15 European car, truck and bus manufacturers at EU level.
Its members are BMW Group, DAF Trucks, Daimler, FIAT Group, Ford of Europe, General Motors Europe, Jaguar Land Rover, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, Porsche, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Renault, Scania, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen and Volvo.
uote:And a Q & A with Luca de Montezemolo:

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo believes there are now only two possibilities to end the current row over Formula 1 - either the FIA reforms itself or the manufacturers lead their own breakaway series.

With tensions high between the governing body and the Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) following the publication of the 2010 entry list on Friday, di Montezemolo has made it clear that the teams are not in the mood to back down over how they want to see the sport run.

Speaking during a high profile visit to the Le Mans 24 Hours on Saturday, di Montezemolo said he had no doubts that the controversy would be sorted out soon - although could not predict which way things would go.

"In a couple of years the problem with Formula 1 will be solved - as I really hope, with a responsible FIA, as we want, or, as happens in other sports, organising our own championship. Because when you have engines, gearboxes, brands, technology, organisation, capability to invest, it is not difficult. So the problem will be solved, I hope very soon."

Di Montezemolo admitted that he has been saddened by the state that he thinks F1 is in - but has hopes that some factions in the FIA can act to prevent the sport getting 'destroyed.'

"We cannot repeat every day that we will not enter the next Formula 1 championship with these rules and without taking care of the Ferrari rights. Having said that, today I don't like very much to talk about F1 because here the atmosphere is a happy one.

"I hope that we will solve our problems because for me, I started to work as Ferrari team manager in 1973. We are the only car manufacturer to have been in Formula 1 since the beginning, without any interruptions, and Formula 1 for Ferrari is part of the life, the blood, the DNA.

"I am not happy. We are not happy. We are very unhappy with the situation as it is, mainly for the public, for the spectators. We don't want Formula 1 to become Formula 3.

"We want not only to maintain but also to improve the F1 DNA, technology, innovation, and competition. We want to cap in a very important way the cost, because everybody has been too far, and I think FOTA has done a strong demonstration to be able to cut costs in 2009 for 50 per cent more of the general cost for engine and gearbox."

He added: "We will continue in this direction. We are together and we want to find a solution, and I am sure that inside the FIA there will be people responsible enough to understand that now it is absolutely necessary not to create trouble, to destroy Formula 1, but to solve the problem."

FOTA issued a statement on Friday afternoon saying it was being forced in the next few days to reveal its plans for the future of F1 so it could prove why the FIA's own regulations are 'bad' for the sport's future.

Di Montezemolo emphasised that he believed FOTA's intentions were only for the good of F1.

"Everybody sees what is happening in Formula 1. I do not understand the reason," he said. "Anyway I think our conditions are constructive, are very clear: governance, stable rules - the people don't understand any more rules that change every six months, one day it's KERS, another day it's standard engines – and looking ahead to have a balance between cost and revenues, to let new commerce enter.

"I'm very pleased to have new teams, and when I say teams I mean Formula 1 not Formula 3."

When asked if a Le Mans project was a possible replacement for racing in F1, di Montezemolo said: "I don't think it is possible to compete at the maximum level, I mean to try to win in too many series. I think there is Formula 1, there is racing like Le Mans, and racing in the United States which is extremely challenging – as I mentioned before, Indy or something like this.

"Our intention is to continue to participate in Formula 1 if there are the conditions. If not, as I say to our tifosi all around the world who have been in touch with us on our internet in an unbelievable way, the DNA of Ferrari is competition. If we stop in F1 we will do something else, and for sure Le Mans will be one of our first priorities."

:( It's a sad situation. If everything could just stay the way they are.

:( It's a sad situation. If everything could just stay the way they are.

 That would be the best, for sure!

But if FIA (and its governance) won't change than it's unlikely to happen. That way I support FOTA because that wouldn't be F1 as the king of motorsports anymore, which it used to be.

What's happening here? F1 is passing, this thread is passing away too? :(

FOTA teams to launch breakaway series

The Formula One Teams' Association announced on Thursday night that it is setting up a breakaway championship.
Following a four-hour meeting at Renault's Enstone factory, the eight members of FOTA - Ferrari, McLaren, Renault, BMW Sauber, Toyota, Brawn, Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso - said they had grown frustrated with the FIA's stance against the organisation, and had no option but to create a series of their own.
"The teams cannot continue to compromise on the fundamental values of the sport and have declined to alter their original conditional entries to the 2010 World Championship," said a statement issued by FOTA after the meeting.
"These teams therefore have no alternative other than to commence the preparation for a new Championship which reflects the values of its participants and partners. This series will have transparent governance, one set of regulations, encourage more entrants and listen to the wishes of the fans, including offering lower prices for spectators worldwide, partners and other important stakeholders.
"The major drivers, stars, brands, sponsors, promoters and companies historically associated with the highest level of motorsport will all feature in this new series."
F1 teams were given until Friday evening to remove the conditions attached to the provisional entries they posted earlier this month, or risk being left off the grid in 2010.
FIA president Max Mosley wrote to the teams yesterday offering them some of the concessions that they wanted to see regarding governance of the sport, but made it clear that he was sticking to plans for the introduction of a budget cap.
In his letter, Mosley also urged the teams to sign up to the championship before sorting out the final version of the regulations and a redrafted Concorde Agreement.
In response to that letter, the teams met at Renault's Enstone headquarters on Thursday evening for lengthy talks, where they finally decided that there was no way a compromise deal could be reached with the FIA.
The teams expressed frustration that their efforts to try and improve F1 had been rebuffed by the governing body and the sport's commercial rights holder.
"Since the formation of FOTA last September the teams have worked together and sought to engage the FIA and commercial rights holder, to develop and improve the sport," said the statement.
"Unprecedented worldwide financial turmoil has inevitably placed great challenges before the F1 community. FOTA is proud that it has achieved the most substantial measures to reduce costs in the history of our sport.
"In particular the manufacturer teams have provided assistance to the independent teams, a number of which would probably not be in the sport today without the FOTA initiatives. The FOTA teams have further agreed upon a substantial voluntary cost reduction that provides a sustainable model for the future.
"Following these efforts all the teams have confirmed to the FIA and the commercial rights holder that they are willing to commit until the end of 2012.
"The FIA and the commercial rights holder have campaigned to divide FOTA.
"The wishes of the majority of the teams are ignored. Furthermore, tens of millions of dollars have been withheld from many teams by the commercial rights holder, going back as far as 2006. Despite this and the uncompromising environment, FOTA has genuinely sought compromise."
The announcement by FOTA looks certain to overshadow the British Grand Prix, which takes place at Silverstone for the final time this weekend and which Mosley is expected to attend tomorrow.
With FOTA's stance now seemingly leaving no room for a deal possible, it's likely that more new teams will be added to the FIA's 2010 Formula 1 entry list.
The inclusion of Ferrari, Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso on that roster remains open to debate, however, with the FIA claiming that the teams committed themselves to F1 in a deal agreed several years ago.

One eye is crying, one eye is happy... So this? or this? :clapping: I can't decide yet...

^ I'm very confused, too. My head is empty, I don't know what to think.

We have to enjoy this season as much as we can since it looks like it's going to be the last one with this concept. Who ever wins this year's championship is going to be very historical..

Ecclestone proposes budget cap be dropped

A day after eight teams announced that they would not compete in the FIA Formula One World Championship next season but form their own independent series, commercial rights CEO Bernie Ecclestone has now said that major teams should not be subject to a budget cap next year.

While saying that Max Mosley has done ‘a lot of good things’ for Formula One, the F1 Chief Executive's new admission undermines the FIA President's position but could potentially end the breakaway threat. Ecclestone however has no power to dictate the rules to the FIA.

"I say, provided they confirm they will be in the championship for five years, they can spend what they like," the 78-year-old said at Silverstone on Saturday.

Ecclestone did not say how dropping the budget cap provisions would affect the small teams that have signed up for 2010, including new entrants Campos, US F1 and Manor. But clearly the Briton is most concerned about the big names including Ferrari and McLaren, who looking to establish a rival series.

"I have some sympathy for the teams. Nobody wants to be told how they can spend their money," Ecclestone told the BBC.

The international media overnight reacted with concern that the crisis could irreparably damage or even destroy F1.

"It's an ugly fight, like an aristocratic family arguing about silver cutlery," said Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The French daily [/i]Aujourd'hui[/i] added: "War has broken out between the FIA and FOTA, and Formula One will pay for it."

And Austria's Der Standard said: "So far neither Max Mosley nor Luca di Montezemolo have lost face, but the loss will be on both sides if Formula One disintegrates."

^^^wow, Bernie... nice words, it's a surprise.

First of all I'm mad at Webber, I'm furious, he doesn't exist for me anymore. I quite liked him and thought he was a gentleman but after his comments about Kimi.... Even if Kimi blocked him he shouldn't have said these things??!!!! What? Drinking vodka and daydreaming? Are you serious Webber... He insulted Kimi and it's nice that Kimi doesn't get involved in such word fights!

Webber, who??

First mission of the weekend happened again! Kimi outqualified Massa, Q2 was great!

Then my optimistic side came
icon2_laugh.gif
and I even thought he could be in top 3.
icon2_sad.gif
Sorrily it didn't happen. I would have been satisfied with P5 or P7 (just to stay on the clean side after 2 scr*wed up starts from the dirty sides). But as I can read Kimi's comments, it was the best he could do. Well done!
icon2_smile.gif

I don't think rain would help. Seeing the fuel loads OMG, Kimi and Alonso much lighter than I expected. Much lighter than people in front of them.

Can he use the KERS at the beginning? I hope so.

I saw him showing the hand sign. I couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't decide it should mean he could get P3
icon2_laugh.gif
or was it the hand sign?! I was really surprised and I liked it so much because I knew that he's relaxed and was enjoying his time!

Oh what happened what happened??? I didn't watch the top three's comments!

edit: Ok I read it... that was very immature by Webber, wouldn't have thought he would say that.

Heikki and Massa have very much fuel.

Good luck to the race, Kimi :hat_wave:

And just when Heikki had good pace there comes Bourdais and BANG. Hmph.

I also feel little bad for Kimi because he had such a great start and he could've been a bit higher.. well, he got at least one point.

Our commentators said Vettel promised to sing something in Finnish after this race, did you hear it?! :D Because I didn't but I would love to.

I think Vettel is my favourite for this year's champion. I like him more than Button.

It seems that for everyday there's a moron... Yesterday it was that Australian and today Trulli. OMG, I couldn't believe my eyes that he came in front of Kimi after the pit stops. From that moment I knew that everything was lost. Like Kimi said, his race was totally over. With that super-über-slow snail called Trulli...

Again, no luck for Kimi and luck for Massa. Ok, Massa drove good, I have to admit it. But hadn't there been Trulli in front of him, Kimi could have driven at 4th or 5th place!

I'm furios, I'm angry, I'm fed up.

It seems everything I want turns out the opposite. I was wondering why they don't give Kimi light fuel load, got it, and how he ended up? This time Massa got more fuel, and he could manage a good race.

And our commentators???!!!!

When I want Kimi to outqualify Massa... then Kimi finishes lower than Felipe. It happened in Turkey and now in Silverstone too.

Why, why, why?

When there would be a lucky serie in Kimi's racing career again?

Rob is an extremely good strategist, he makes the races better for Massa. Andrea is not good enough or Kimi doesn’t tell or think what is the best. I don’t know but there’s a problem there…

I don't mind that there's a 3 weeks break. It's sad that there isn't any possibility for testing but remember last year turned bad from Germany onwards. Let's hope that this time the opposite would happen. Someday it should happen!!!!

Keep flying, keep fighting Kimi! We are with you, forever and always!
