Yes, you are right, Kimi's smile is so sweet!

Here's another video (not mine) with Kimi's smile. What a coincidence, it was made by a Hungarian girl whose name is also Kinga :cheeky:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh-1d4Tg1s8&feature=channel_page

and she made another great one, look at Kimi's sexy butt at 1:35...:D

hä? hä?... soooo fuuuunnnyyy!!!!
Nice videos, but she ranked Kimi only 3rd on her top5 sexiest F1 drivers :uhuh :cheeky:

Could you please tell me what "Kimi on kunkku" means? I've seen the banner in this video

Yes, it means "Kimi is king"

Thanks for the translation! :)

OMG, I haven't seen that video of her... Not nice...:tease:Anyway, we know the truth!!!!:cheeky:

OMG! How would they decide in the diffusor issue? What do you think? I think we could hear the verdict only by tomorrow...

Rivals say no doubt diffusers illegal

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/74472

Theissen: Diffuser decision vital for F1

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/74462

Theissen added: "We are definitely not leaning back. We are developing a similar solution, despite thinking it doesn't comply with the idea of the rules and it costs a lot of money. We don't want to go this path but we have no choice, we have to develop it in case it is declared legal.
"I have to say I don't know where we are right now, or when it will be worth applying it to the car. It goes way beyond just developing a new diffuser, it affects the entire aero concept, so it requires quite a lot of development work.
"At the moment I cannot predict at what race we will have something that will be beneficial compared to what we have today."
Raikkonen: Diffusers could decide title

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/74353

"The FIA's Court of Appeal will decide about the diffuser and this decision will have an enormous impact on the championship," Raikkonen said.
"We're missing grip and downforce. You just need to analyse the performance in the three sectors at Sepang to understand that we're losing a lot compared to the best cars. You could see it especially in the middle sector where downforce is really crucial.
"We need more downforce and we're working very hard on it. We still don't have any points after two races and this is a very difficult moment. We've seen other moments like this, but we know how to react and we'll do it already at Shanghai."

Baldisserri gets factory role in reshuffle

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/74449

...Baldisserri now handed responsibility for coordinating the factory efforts with trackside operations. Work will focus on all areas of car performance, including a double-decker diffuser if the concept is given the green light by the FIA International Court of Appeal this week. The staff changes mean that Baldisserri will no longer attend races, with his role at the races now being taken by chief track engineer Chris Dyer.

Yay, Chris!!!! :)

^ Pfffff I have no idea what they will decide.. actually, I don't even know what I would hope them to decide..
I don't know.. I have a tiny feeling that the diffusors aren't illegal, but... don't count on my feelings too much :D

I think they are illegal - sort of - but the thing is that 3 teams came up with the same idea and that's the problem. Had it been only 1 team they wouldn't let that team to use it... but... *sigh* though F1 is about politics and money also and the 2 biggest teams don't have those diffusers... so?

It's over now... the guessing and the title hopes for Kimi for this year...:(

FIA declares double diffusers legal

The FIA International Court of Appeal has declared the double-decker diffuser designs used by Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams as legal.
Following overnight deliberation by the judges after a court hearing in Paris on Tuesday, the ICA has rejected the appeals lodged by Ferrari, Red Bull Racing, Renault. BMW Sauber and McLaren had also entered the appeal as affected parties.
A statement issued by the FIA on Wednesday morning said: "The FIA International Court of Appeal has decided to deny the appeals submitted against decisions numbered 16 to 24 taken by the Panel of the Stewards on 26 March at the 2009 Grand Prix of Australia and counting towards the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship.
"Based on the arguments heard and evidence before it, the Court has concluded that the Stewards were correct to find that the cars in question comply with the applicable regulations."
The ICA's decision is a blow to those teams that did not pursue the design concept when they created their 2009 cars - as it is widely accepted that the double-decker diffusers have brought a performance advantage.
Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen suggested last week that the diffuser decision would be vital for the outcome of the world title – with his team likely to have to wait for several races before being able to fit a suitable one to their car.
The row over the diffusers has also led to intense confrontation between the rival factions – with Brawn GP team principal Ross Brawn being on the receiving end of attacks from Renault and Ferrari about his use of the diffuser concept.
However, he has stood firm in his belief that the design was legal – and confirmed recently that he offered rivals the chance to close off the regulations to prevent teams exploiting the diffuser designs, but they rejected the opportunity.
"In March 2008 that was offered," said Brawn, when asked by AUTOSPORT about the matter.
"If I'm frank I didn't say 'look we are going to do this diffuser if you don't accept this rule' because I'm not going to tell people what we're doing, but I explained that I felt that we should have a different set of rules to simplify what needs to be done.
"I offered them and they were rejected, so my conscience is very clear. And those rules that I put on the table would have stopped a lot of things. It would have stopped the diffuser, it would have stopped all those bargeboards around the front, and it would have cleaned the cars up.
"Because it was clear that when we started to work on the regulations that there were things that you could do, and we needed to perhaps clean them up, but nobody was interested. They are interested now."

It's over now... the guessing and the title hopes for Kimi for this year...:(
Hmm, don't say that, everything is still possible! :better: Winning the title will be hard for Kimi, but you never know what happends in F1. I believe that.

but you never know what happends in F1. I believe that.

Kimi also thinks that! It's the "Räikkönen way"! :cheeky:

Here's his column :D He's hungry for the success, bless him!:)

Chinese preview

GUNPOWDER FROM CHINA

This is the first time we race in China in the beginning of the season when it's springtime. To me the new time doesn't mean a thing. I always go to races in the same way. The goal is every time to score good points and do my best so that I would win the race.

China has been a good place for me before. Ever since the Shanghai circuit was new we have always found the setups so that we have been able to fight for the trophies. Two years ago I won the race and I've always got a good result from there. Now I have to hope that Shanghai finally would give the cannon start to our fight for the championship. After all they invented the gunpowder over in China!

Like the gang knows the situation regarding the championship is still pending. Our team and me myself have had a really bad start. But still we know that we would have earned reasonable points with our competitivness if we would have had a a little more luck. Of course it's unneccessary to grieve. In motorsport you have one moment - and that's when you have to make it. If you don't make it it's no use to start thinking 'what if' afterwards because it won't change a thing.

But luckily for us this is once again a long serie. And it isn't over yet. We've only raced two races and we have 15 more to go to. Of course it's important that we start scoring points with a pace now so that we can catch up with the top and won't stay behind anymore.

The team has worked hard after Australia and Malaysia so that the chase can begin from China.

It's a bit more tricky now when we can't test the car on the track. The new regulations makes it more difficult for those who have to chase the top from the beginning of the season. Now the GP-weekend's Friday is an even more important opportunity to test when you have to test all new parts along with the rubbers.

I'm now 15 points behind the lead. Our car has lacked traction and speed. To China we get some new parts and let's hope that they work immediately so that we are faster. This week is exciting in other ways too when FIA will give the decision about the diffusors. While I'm writing this I'm still waiting for the verdict.

It's a fact that other teams will bring new parts to China also. That's why it's difficult to say how big the differences are when compared to the top. But I'm hopeful and wish that we are closer to the top than we have been during the first two weekends.

After Malaysia I flew to Switzerland, then I did a gig in Italy and during the Easter I went to Finland to say hi to the folks and my friends. We had time to play some icehockey and now I get to go totally fresh to the race. I'll try to win or at least get to the podium. Nothing else matters.

Ferrari are in biiiiiig trouble.......... :agree::doh::(:scratch:

Ferrari: Removing KERS has not helped

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/74535

Kimi was only 14th (while Massa was 12th) during the 2nd FP. :( Massa was running with the new aerodinamical changes while Kimi not. Massa's times were not much better compared to Kimi's so it can mean 2 things. 1. Those changes are not good enough. 2. Massa can't use them at full

Such a nice gesture awww:
Abruzzo in my heart - Abruzzo nel cuore

Shanghai, 17th April 2009 - The members of the Scuderia Ferrari don’t forget the tragic earthquake in the Abruzzo region and, directly from the Shanghai circuit, send a message of solidarity to the region. The F60s of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa will race in the Chinese GP with the writing "ABRUZZO IN MY HEART " on the liveries: a message to all the people in the region with a difficult time of reconstruction ahead. It’s a sign of being near to them, President Montezemolo and everybody at Ferrari wanted to send to the people in the earthquake region.

In the past the Scuderia’s cars already sported special graphic elements. In 2001 the two Ferrari single-seaters with Schumacher and Barrichello had a black nose, in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack on 11th September in New York and four years later in Bahrain the Team remembered Pope John Paul II.

But Ferrari’s efforts don’t stop here. On 17th May, during the RM Leggenda e Passione Ferrari auction at Maranello, a special model will be presented for the auction. Further funds will be collected with an online auction, which will start in the coming days on the website www.ferrari.com, where the fans of Ferrari can purchase Ferrari memorabilia. The two auctions’ proceeds will go directly to reconstruction projects in the area hit by the earthquake.

At least there's one thing we could laugh about on this sad day and it is Kimi's new "hair style". :D

3449009175_a1d761e882_o.jpg

^ I love the new style

Vettel really deserved his pole. He's very likeable :) Kimi is in OK -position, too. Let's just hope he can finish the race and get some points for the season!

:puke::puke::puke: what a shitty red snail Kimi got???!!!

Q. Tell us about your race, Kimi.

Kimi Raikkonen: At the beginning it wasn't too bad, but then I didn't really have any grip, so it was a bit hard to stay on the circuit and all the other cars were fast, so they got past me.

Q. Was is difficult to get the tyres up to the right temperature?

KR: I don't know if it's the temperature. The thing is we didn't have grip. It was aqua-planning and sliding and every time I touched a wet patch I just lost the front end grip. Overall it was very difficult. In the beginning was not too bad but then, like I said, when we put a lot of fuel and the new tyres it became more difficult.

Q. Did you have some problems with the engine?

KR: Some times I had something and it wasn't running very clearly but sometimes it can happen when you follow people and there's a lot of water and the spray affects it. But it cleared up after a moment.

Q. Three races with no points for Ferrari, what are your thoughts?

KR: Not good. We have made some mistakes but unfortunately we don't have the speed to be where we want to be right now. But for sure when we get to Barcelona and get some new parts we should improve quite a bit. If we had had a dry race today we would have scored some points.

We don't have enough grip in the dry but in the wet it seems to be even more difficult. We'll do the best that we can and I'm sure we are going to be back in a position to challenge for wins, but it will take a little while, so we just need to go through this hard time and we definitely going to get back.

Q. Is it difficult to find the motivation under this situation?

KR: It's nothing to do with motivation. Unfortunately we are not fast enough. It's not about people's motivation or that we don't try the best we can. But it will take a little while. It will not happen overnight. We know that once we get to Barcelona we should take a step with the car. Hopefully it will improve the situation and it has nothing to do with people not trying to do their best.

But it's not an easy sport to catch up and sometimes when you don't have what you want it just seems to be very difficult and everything seems to be against you. It's hard to get out of it, but like I said it takes a while and we need to get through that period and I'm sure that we are gong to be in a position to challenge. I don't know when, but hopefully sooner than later.

Q. Is this the worst situation you have been in your career?

KR: I've have had difficult seasons before and bad starts of the season before. It's a hard time for everybody, but this is racing. We try to improve and we try to do the best. It's not what we want, so people are not so happy sometimes and we get lots of bad publicity from the papers, but it doesn't stop us from trying and improving things. Like I said, it will improve at some point. We will get back there, but unfortunately we are not where we should be now.

Q. Where do you believe the problem lies?

KR: We probably don't have the same downforce as the others. When we get the new floor for sure we are going to get lots of downforce and it will make the car fast. In the dry the handling of the car is not too bad, but we are missing downforce through the corners. For sure it will make a massive difference.

I'm proud to be a Kimi fan. It's strange because during bad times this feeling is even stronger than in good times. Maybe because I know that he's very good and talented and he can show it in bad times too. It's harder to show in bad times, right? But he showed it again, like today. I'm imressed by his driving, he did the best he could.

It was nice to read his comments, nice to hear that the team wants to improve, all the people are determined just like him.

But how come Massa coud go much faster than Kimi?

I'm sure had it been a dry race the 4th or 5th position (the 2nd mission) would have been Kimi's.

I'm pretty much fed up with Stefano Domenicali's comments. All the time when I read an interview with him that he just talks bla bla bla... but nothing new. I could have told these things myself and I'm not an über-super-great manager of Ferrari... WTF!!!??? Plus he praises Massa...

Q. Last year in wet conditions the Ferrari struggled to get heat into its tyres. Are we seeing a similar characteristic now?

Stefano Domenicali: It is very unfortunate because if you look at the first part of the race, Felipe did a fantastic job. He was really much faster than Sebastian Vettel, who was with low fuel and we had more fuel. So, honestly, in that condition it was perfect. Then unfortunately we had this problem on electronic control which made the car stop, as it was a big shame.

Our commentators said that at Ferrari and at McLaren too the "big generation" went away so in their management and in working methods there ar biiiig, I mean huge changes so they are completely lost. Which is true... + there are those new regulations...

That's why I wanted Kimi to win the title last year. Somehow I felt that it will be very very hard this year. Though I've never ever imagined in my wildest dreams that it would be so crap.:puke::doh:

I knew that miracle won't happen but some nice points for damage limitation would have been good and crucial. I know that it's pointless to speculate but had Kimi scored those 8 points in Australia and had he scored about 4 points in China.... that would have been very good since Button has 21.

Schumi said that Ferrari should focus already on 2010:no::scratch:: it seems it's not enough when he's not present at a race, we should shut his mouth up because he can tell silly things even when he's at home.

I've read the posts on the official and I have to say that it's getting worse and worse. How could we trust in the media if "real" Kimi fans say: "he can't drive in rain", "he's the worst driver in rain", etc. OMG, it hurt me reading those comments.............

Kimi said that after practice:

"The balance of the car isn't bad and one doesn't feel the lack of KERS. The point is that we are too slow compared to the teams currently at the top of the order. We must try and improve the car: at the moment, we are not able to fight for the title. We must not give up the fight because, with the whole team working hard, we can get back into a winning position. It's not an easy time, but our group is strong and we know what needs to be done to get out of this situation. The softer tyre seems to work better than it did in Australia."

He's right, sorrily. He is realistic.

OK, first of all, I think this was really an exciting race and quite entertaining too! I'm happy that Vettel won but especially that HEIKKI WON HAMILTON! :clapping: Hamilton spinned I don't know how many times, Heikki deserved to be better.

But how come Massa coud go much faster than Kimi?
No offence but why not? They have the same car and obviously Kimi had some troubles with his engine so why should Kimi always be faster? Massa is, after all, a good driver too. Sometimes he's faster, sometimes Kimi. Kimi is still overall better.

Blah, yeah, shut Schumacher's mouth he doesn't say anything worth noticing these days.

And about those comments.. yeah, maybe they are "real" fans instead of real. Don't get upset about them, listen to me: Kimi is great driver, he is awesome on wet, best driver in the woooorld!!!

Yeah, Hamilton was over-excited LOL He spinned just as much as Massa did last year in Silverstone. :lmao: I'm glad Heikki got 1 more point.:D;D

Ok, Massa was faster but I just don't get it why. Because I'm sure Kimi is a better driver in wet (not just in wet :cheeky:) and he said that the engine problem was not there all the time. :( It was like Kimi's car didn't have any grip at all, he was sliding all the time while Massa's car was quite handleable. All in all, Kimi could hold that sliding car on track all the time. Had he pushed more he would have spinning like Hamster. Hamster didn't gain that much with the aggressive driving, did he?

I'm happy for Vettel, he was great! Good for Webber too and the team Red Bull. :) I'm glad that Brawn GP isn't unbeatable. :)

Oh, yeah, of course I don't care about those fans just it's a bit sad that they are on Kimi's official forum.

Ok, Massa was faster but I just don't get it why.

Well, I've found this information on the official. I wanted to know why was Kimi extra slow compared to others, not just compared to Massa. Here is the answer:

Interesting data from yesterday's qualy.
Kimi's top speed: 306.7
Hamilton: 300.9
Massa: 299.7

7 kmph is lot. It looks like Kimi had less downforce settings. In dry he was faster as we all saw. Kimi tends to go with low downforce than others as he can manage high speed corners without extra downforce and pick up some speed on the straight as a result. That could be a reason for his first stint pace when he was overtaken by Hamilton and Massa.

I'm relieved now.

This is from David Coulthard's column:

In Formula One, dictatorships are the order of the day; characters such as Bernie Ecclestone, Max Mosley, Ron Dennis and Jean Todt all have or had signs above their heads saying: warning, approach with caution!
Kimi Raikkonen would never have been wondering about the pits with a choc ice and a coke, as he was in Malaysia when the race was still technically in session, had Todt still been in charge.
Then you have the drivers. I don't know Felipe Massa that well, so I can't really comment too much on him, but Raikkonen is a former team-mate of mine and the Finn has never shown me he can lead a car's development. Sure, he has blistering natural speed, but I suspect Ferrari will improve dramatically if and when Fernando Alonso arrives.

^^^It's quite unusual of Kimi saying anything to criticism but it seems that was a bit too much for him. That's what he said about this DC comment to MTV3:

"I don't know of any driver so far who designs the cars, so it's quite funny.. to always hear these comments from a guy who has never really won much of anything in F1, so.. that's his business, what a peculiar guy."

Martin Whitmarsh's opinion about Kimi:

"Kimi doesn't always show it but based on my experience from the time Kimi was here Kimi was a very committed driver when it came to development work. When he spoke his few words, they were always valuable. He is very sensitive when it comes to getting the car to go faster and to what happens to the car."

So, DC, would you give Kimi and us a favour? Go, and get a life!!! He's too jealous I think that a certain young driver out-performed him big time in McLaren!!! He would have been frustrated like hell had he stayed at Red Bull Renault this year. Because he would have had to experience this again with Seb.:cheeky:

^ Haha yeah :D

Quite interesting to see what happends tomorrow, Trulli starting from the pole.. he's obviously many times been the plug in the race.
Kimi's time was still 4th fastest :) Hopefully he could finally get some points!!!

Good Kimi! :clapping:

I'm very happy with the 6th place he got, finally he has some points! Can't wait for Barcelona Gp where Ferrari has some new components to the car.

^^^me tooooooo!!!!:clapping::punk::D:cheeky::cheers:

Kimi drove so superbly, so amazingly, so beautifully!!! That start was absolutely great!!!! I'm so proud of him!!!!!!!!!!!!! He finished in front of Felipe baby and protect the whole team from the worst season's start. The one and only Kimi. He can deal with the pressure!!!!
icon2_biggrin.gif
I think Luca brought him some luck! I think the 2nd pit stop was a disaster but he couldn't have hold back Barrichello anyway IMO. Brawn Gp was much faster.

Oh, yeah, and let's not forget that Kimi could hold back a Toyota driven by Timo who was aiming for a win today and who was 2nd on the starting grid!!!! And finally finished 7th behind a person who started the race at the 10th place!!!!

I'm so happy if it was a win!!!!

Much more to come from the Kimster this year!!! I can feel it!!!!!! Well done, Mr. Cuteness!!!! You are the best, always, forever!!!!!!!!!! :)

I don't mean to depress you in any way but this still is the worst season start to Ferrari, back in -81 they managed to get 5th in the 4th race.. :) But it was great job by Kimi anyways!

^^^Ok, yeah, I've read it somewhere after my post. :)

James Allen wrote this about Kimi:

On other occasions, Kimi Raikkonen used the KERS button to repass cars which had passed him coming out of the pits.
Kimi was my driver of the event based on his performance over the whole weekend.
He was really strong in the first two parts of qualifying and it was only because he didn’t have any more new tyres in Q3 that he qualified where he did.
In the race he started 10th and finished sixth, which was the biggest improvement of any runner n the top half of the field, where it is hard to make up places.
But for a sticking wheel nut in his second pit stop he would have been fifth ahead of Rubens Barrichello.
He started well, making up three places and kept a very high rhythm after that.
He was strong in retaining and regaining positions after pit stops and gave Ferrari a real shot in the arm.
Team principal Stefano Domenicali said that this sixth place was the minimum that the team should expect to get, but it’s got them off the mark and now we’ll see what they can come up with on their B-spec car in Barcelona.

Kimi:
"I am happy to have picked up a few points but I can't be that pleased with our performance level. I've been around long enough not to get very excited about a sixth place. We are well aware we have to improve. In theory, the new package we will have in Barcelona should see us make a good step forward, but we won't know just how big it will be compared to the others until we are on track in Spain. Today, we got the most out of the F60's current potential, even if I lost a bit of time in my final pit stop because of a problem with a part of the fairing on the left front wheel which cost me the chance of exiting pit lane ahead of Barrichello."

Domenicali:
I don't want to say that Spain is the last chance. This is not the case. For sure it will be important but not vital. We are Ferrari and we will never give up until the moment when the maths says it's over.

Look, how long Kimi's hair is!!! He needs a haircut. I think we'll see it in Barcelona, like last year! Oh, how I wish a Kimi win there like last year!!!:)

I'm always keeping my fingers crossed for Kimi and Heikki (what a surprise, huh? lol) :)

^^^okay, Laura, it's great! :) Does your boyfriend cheer for the Finnish drivers also?

Hanna: that hair is like a TAFT hair spray advertisement... I bet he will have a hair cut before Spain. I wouldn't mind an almost bald headed Kimi with a win - like it happened last year!!!!:punk:

^^^haha I was just about to post it. I haven't seen the match, but on Kimi's official forum there was a member who posted this:

haha I'm watching the worldchampionship games of icehockey, Finland is playing against Denmark and guess who is sitting in the audience??!! KIMI

the camera zoomed at him and his friend and he noticed it and started laughing.. then there came a text at the bottom of the screen "Kimi Raikkonen - F1 worldchampion 2007"

he was filmed for quite some time too... I'm so surprised! didn't expect to see him when watching ice hockey!! and if some of you want to know he was wearing jeans, a dark sweater and a cap.. looked really casual, didn't even recognize him first!

I hope Hanna has seen it as well!!!!

I'm so p*ssed... :( I promised myself that I'll be watching Finland's matches, there was a possibility that Kimi could be there... but since I don't like ice-hockey at all, I totally forgot it...

Aww I hoped I would be the first one to tell you! :D But yes, I saw Kimi and he looked sooo cute there :give_heart:
He did his "gangsta" sign (  ) in front of his face so I didn't recognize him first but after I did I just had huge grin on my face for the rest of the game! ^_^

There he is:
