Wow, ultra-quiet thread today. Don't think I've seen that before.

I'm tired of all this Bahrain junk. I mean, REALLY. Let's get this thread going again, shall we?

Hey I'm all for that. It's just hard cause it feels like it's all been talked about now.. we kinda talked and examined it all to death haven't we? Maybe not though. Please pleaaaaase anyone feel free to prove me wrong. I'd enjoy that.

Hmmm maybe I'll take this week that my hubby has off of work and just go do somethin for and by myself and CHILL. Don't ever get to do that cause I'm nearly ALWAYS with the kids 24/7. I am SO looking forward to visiting my parents next week. Haven't seen em since Easter :( Alright it's after 2 a.m. I'm going to take my meds and go to bed. Nite nite!

Ok...since we are here for the romance, not necessarily for MJ's romance but we are romantics at heart, I have something to share. I just found the english lyrics to the one non-English song I posted when I was decorating up our thread here, and they are so beautiful and heartfelt and kinda sad though. So I wanted to share it even though it isn't a Michael Jackson song. Just simply because it is very yearning and loving and made me think of how allforMJ describes how Michael might have felt prior to 2002ish or so.. (which.. the Bashir interview was early 2003 so is that the right time? Cause he didn't seem totally happy there...or did he? I'd have to watch it again.)

Anyways.. the english lyrics, which I didn't know until now. It's a beautiful song I think. Just in another language. I just love the song. A friend of mine showed it to me because of my name, years ago, or I'd never have heard it.

ANGEL
In the mirror, I see a strange face
A faded look in the eyes
Smiling is only a twisted movement of the lips
My loneliness, who can understand?
Like a boat rocking in the sea
Even the North Star cannot be seen
Who can set sails and forever leave this dark lake?

Angel Angel, longing for you to be by my side
Angel Angel, please hold my hand tightly
Sometimes I think nobody can truly understand
All the pain I harboured inside
Fearful of using a sincere heart to face the world
Instead I have become more and more silent
A person (a person) floating in the sea
The person who is talking cannot be seen
Who can give me a warm (embrace me) embrace?
When I feel my heart beginning to break

Angel Angel, longing for you to be by my side
Angel Angel, can you hear me calling you?
Please tell a tired and lonely me
That you will always be waiting
Angel Angel, please stay by my side
Angel Angel, never let go of my hand

^ the lyrics sure are fitting, Ape

I still also feel there's enough of MJ's jigsaw puzzle of songs to piece together ... I brought up Fly Away....nobody got into it ... queen_g brought up Invincible....an analysis of that relative to what other songs are saying could be interesting...

but good song Ape and again, I agree, its very fitting

Hiya!

Re: Invincible the song. I've thought about it some lately. It seems as though with this particular girl, he just can't get through to her. She's built up these walls for some reason, perhaps a shield from hurt or something. She's an impenetrable fortress, and he just wants to show her how real his love is for her.

Let's look at this in the big picture, meaning the whole album. In Unbreakable, he is speaking to perhaps a large audience, or maybe a select few, or just one. He tells how strong he is inside, basically. Then he goes into Heartbreaker. He finds this girl and goes ga-ga over her, right? But she is the type that can just break your heart. Then immediately into Invincible. They just all seem related, at least to me. And then, wow, after that there's a bunch of love songs........ Break of Dawn, Heaven Can Wait, Butterflies, Speechless, You Are My Life, You Rock My World, etc. And how much more romantically intimate can a man get than with Break of Dawn?

Towards the end there's Don't Walk Away and Whatever Happens, both of which give a different sense, one of relationship gone and/or altered by some event, never to be the same again.

MJ communicated quite a lot with the Invincible album, and he didn't even have to SAY anything. Someone came, he fell in love, they had a relationship, something happened, and she left. He told an entire story with that album! I personally have the feeling it may have been Blanket's mother, based on timing, but I'm not going to go into any speculation. It really could have been anyone. The point is, Michael told the world his love story at that time. And he has since presented several songs which continue communicating his undying love for someone. Don't know though whether it's the same one as in Invincible or a different one, though.

Okay all how's that for a nice breakdown and a way to resurrect this thread? :)

Yes, plzzz lets resurrect this thread :girl_dance:

oh and your thoery about Blankets mom..it could be :) !! But yeah, lets not get too much into it and speculate!!

That was awesome mjrox (lol I always want to write MJRoxSocks)
I had always seen the story in Invincible as well. When I first listened to it all I thought it was prophetic for some reason (I was new to internet and MJ and fandom etc..so I blame my craziness on that...lol)....anyways, your explanation sounds more reasonable. Very nicely explained.

Thank ya. And you know, it's interesting, cause I just got that cd this summer, didn't know till later when it had come out (i.e. before or after the trial, which frankly I didn't know much about till recently). It is just that there were SO many things that seemed like they should have been written AFTER the trial, but no, they were written before MJ's world fell apart. So yeah there's definitely something prophetic about it. But the love story is nonetheless THERE in plain sight for all the world to see. He just doesn't disclose her exact identity. Kudos to MJ!

Ape, this poem from your other thread about MJ's poems reminds me of Fly Away a bit, I guess just from the ttle of the song (can anyone decipher the lyrics?). This poem is in keeping with the "wing" theme though. :brow: and the part about feeling "cold and alone" ( :( ) reminds me of the lyrics in You Are Not Alone. At the same time, it may not be about that kind of love.

It was August, and I was looking up at the sky. With one hand shielding my eyes, I made out a falcon soaring on the currents of hot swirling air. Higher and higher it spiraled, until with one unearthly shriek, it disappeared.
All at once I felt left behind. "Why did you grow wings without me?" I mourned. Then my spirit said, "The falcon's way is not the only way. Your thoughts are as free as any bird." So I shut my eyes and my spirit took off, spiraling as high as the falcon and then beyond, so that I was looking down over the whole earth.
But something was wrong. Why did I feel so cold and alone?
"You grew wings without me," my heart said. "What good is freedom without love?" So I went quietly to the bed of a sick child and sang him a lullaby. He fell asleep smiling, and my heart took off, joining my spirit as it circled over the earth. I was free and loving, but still something was wrong.
"You grew wings without me," my body said. "Your flights are only imagination." So I looked into books that I had ignored before and read about saints in every age who actually flew. In India, Persia, China, and Spain (even in Los Angeles!), the power of spirit has reached, not just into the heart, but into every cell of the body. "As if carried aloft by a great eagle," Saint Teresa said, "my ecstasy lifted me into the air."
I began to believe in this amazing feat, and for the first time, I didn't feel left behind. I was the falcon and the child and the saint. In my eyes their lives became sacred, and the truth came home: When all life is seen as divine, everyone grows wings.

© Michael Jackson
A closer look at this poem gives me the impression that he was possibly talking about himself taking off in flight without the totality of himself (or something like that) when he realizes that he was the falcon, and the child, and the saint.

When I listen X-Scape I would like to know what person MJ is talking about in this verse....

"I tried to share my life with someone I could love
But games and money is all she ever thought of
How could that be my fault when she gambled and lost?
I'm tired of silly games,
It's time to make a change

Why is it I can't do whatever I want to? (oh)
Went in my personal life and I don't live for you (you)
So don't you try to tell me what is right for me
You be concerned about you,
I can do what I want to"

hmm, well while I'd prefer seeing that topic have its own thread, I'd just think of all the greedy game-playing females who've been in and/or around his life, and pick one, but too much specific speculation may not be a good idea....y'know?

Hmmmmm.....uh-huh...okay...alright.....yep!!! lol

Y'all wanna see where Mr. Romantic started being more direct with the love songs?

See, on the "Invincible" CD there is a mixture of love songs. In some of them he's using the words "she" and "her" as if he's talking to someone about a woman. In some of the love songs on the "Invincible" CD he sounds like he's singing directly to a woman. Again, there is a mixture.

"Fall Again," which was the first love song from "The Ultimate Collection" box set to be heard online in its entirety, is where he started to only say "you." "Fall Again" was played in its entirety on the VH1 web site in November '04 shortly before the box set became available in stores.

Although "One More Chance" from the "Number Ones" CD is also a very direct love song, the word "her" appears in it. "If you see her, tell her this for me..." It is at the end of the song that he starts singing directly when he's saying, "I can't stop loving you."

"Fall Again" which came after "One More Chance" is where he stopped using the words "she" and "her" and went in the new direction. The new direction shows there's more of a desire to let his lady friend know how he feels about her and how he likes having her around.

Also, it is in "Fall Again" that he said, "There's something about you. I stare in your eyes. Everything I'm looking for I seem to find." There is no feeling of doubt in this song or in any of the songs after it.

All of the love songs following "Fall Again" which are "Beautiful Girl," "The Way You Love Me," "You Are So Beautiful," "For All Time" and "Hold My Hand" are written in a direct way. This is five consecutive love songs. In one of them he even sings the words, "...two hearts belong so well." In no way are these words of doubt, and it doesn't matter if these are songs that were written by him or not written by him.

Even if we don't see MJ sitting alone day dreaming, we can still listen to the way the above love songs sound and tell that something wonderful has happened to him.

Please note, this is not to say that he will never sing anymore love songs with her and she in them. This is just to point out when he started singing more directly and when his love for someone started showing more and more.

Also, in "Fall Again" he said, "I need you around..." In "For All Time" he said, "Say that you'll never go."

Why do you think that after all this time Mr.Jackson is releasing more & more love songs?

People tend to sound and act a different way when they get certain feelings or different types of joy in their life. It brings a sort of inner peace within when your heart is happy, at least for me it does. I think he sounds that way now because his love is real and in the present time. Whereas in the past it was something he sang about but was still longing for.

But then again, it could just be romantic words. I don't know. :)

It seems like Michael likes it when a woman just comes into his life and changes his world with her love. I'm noticing that the two love songs on the "Invincible" CD that have someone coming in to his life and changing it is "You Are My Life" and "You Rock My World."

He seems to like change as long as the change is good for him. Another example of him liking it when a woman changes his world with her love is the song "Liberian Girl." I'm not saying that "Liberian Girl" is about what is presently taking place in his life, I'm just pointing out that this song also shows the same type of thing being done. A woman is changing his life with love.

"You Are My Life" has a list of things in it that are being done after the woman suddenly appears. "You Rock My World" begins with him singing "My life will never be the same 'cause girl you came and changed the way I walk, the way I talk, now I cannot explain these things I feel for you..." "Liberian Girl," which seems to be another example that he likes the changes a woman brings starts off with him singing "Liberian girl, you came and you changed my world. A love so brand new. Liberian girl, you came and you changed me, girl. A feeling so true."

And notice that in each of these love songs there is a feeling of true love. And, in each of these songs he also uses the words "my" and "world" together (my world). In these songs the woman is either changing his world or she is his world. There's no resistence in these songs. The woman is there for him and he is there for her. There is togetherness.

Now, notice what he recently said in a handwritten note. He said, "I feel your love." That right there alone is consistent with the type of love songs he's been putting out and the things he's been saying in them.

He seems to like women that know how to reach him. Women that just come into his life and do it. Get him to respond. I think it's a turn-on for him as long as she isn't doing anything malicious after she gets his attention.

Look at his life at this very moment. It has changed and is now moving in a new direction. It is moving in a positive direction. It has changed at the very same time that these positive love songs are coming out. This is why I have been saying that many of his songs do tell a lot about him. Look at the loving mood he's in right now.

I know what you guys are talking about - he's been smiling a LOT lately.....Hummm....I would like to wish Mr. Jackson the very best. He deserves a little happiness....and seeing him smile just gives me great joy...

Here's another thing to look at which shows MJ is in love. Remember what he starts singing near the end of "Liberian Girl" which is a song about a woman changing his life with her love? He starts singing, "I love you all the time."

Now noitice what song he put out at the beginning of this year after his life actually starting changing for the better. He put out "For All Time" which is a song about loving a woman for ever.
