Dateline NBC tonight, 9pm E.T with Rabbi Boteach's tapes

one thing I know for sure is that Madonna fans are gonna go crazy after this
just when I thought that ppl finally started to understand him after her speech this comes along
why don't ppl leave him alone already?
the family should do something to shut these ppl up
this is all just disgusting

Just because he knew he was being taped doesn't automatically mean he gave his consent for their release, as Schmuck would have us believe. Sessions are often taped for various reasons - further evaluation, playback, research, etc...but if my psychologist were ever to release mine, there would be hell to pay. I still can't believe NBC did that. However, this isn't a new phenomenon...

Edit: I think they did record these in planning for a book. I think it was pre-Bashir and Michael may have had the same aim he had in making the documentary. However, there're things on those tapes that I'm sure were meant to be private. I think he dropped this dude after he found out about him and later went with Bashir. Regardless, there is *no* way that now, after the Bashir incident, Michael would be willing to open himself all up and try again at "setting the record straight."

How is telling someone they look like a monkey helping them?
MJ did need people tearing him down and calling him names, what kind of "friend" is that?
 
This really hurts me and I didn't even watch it. It just brings tears to my eyes; the evil of people. It makes me ask God, why? Why does it seem that the evil prosper and live to propagate more evil? Why are the evil in such power?? The only consolation is that MJ isn't confined to this sinful world anymore, and it is past. It is all past. It doesn't matter.

the media abused and maligned michael every chance they got.....
people made fun of michael....

and yet the media and many people can't understand why michael retreated to mannequins? why michael was reclusive?

then for the rabbi to say.... "how can this man have left his children orphaned??

HE WAS MURDERED.... YOU SORRY PIECE OF SH**.............

I'd prefer to go to hell than have a SPIRITUAL ADVISOR the likes of rabbi, chopra, and any other men of faith.... who can readily be so JUDGMENTAL.

Someone needs to tell the RABBI he is in the wrong profession.
 
NBC, dateline, Meredith .... they are all going to hear it from me.

at the very least the can be fair and objective. they know about "heal the kids" and the rabbi's past.... they should have at least mentioned that. if meredith didn't want to ask the rabbi directly fine.... but prior to the start or at the end they should have been very clear.

unless i drank too much....... the rabbi said he ended the relationship b/c he didn't want to associate with someone that was self destructive (paraphrase)................

Exactly. I don't understand why it 's so hard for people to understand him. It's so clear, the psychological abuse he experienced from everyone. People think that just because a person has money or is famous he/she should be happy. It's far from it.

i swear every time i think about this and start crying.... i keep saying Liz's name just so i can stop. i mean if she would meet me... i'd fly to LA tomorrow just to thank her.

physical abuse, psychological abuse, then have everything in your life be scrutinized to the tenth degree? and people want to JUDGE and MOCK Michael?

B/C as a physician he took an oath to DO NO HARM.

And I realize people want MJ to bear some of the responsibility but NOT ON THIS ONE.

Physicians have a responsibility to heal patients, not to KILL them.
 
Hmm, he was Michael's "friend" but yet he turned on him after the allegations? What kind of friend is that? Then after Michael passed away, he decided to do the book because people had softened on him? F*ck him! Nobody wants to read what stupid trash he writes. And those tapes might have Michael's actual voice on them, but you don't get the full picture of what someone is saying without hearing the FULL conversation, questions and comments by the other person and everything Michael himself said. I can't even stand seeing Schmuley's face, and he's usually yelling. All these people need to just shut up and get a life that doesn't involve Michael.

Of course the doctor is to blaim for alot of it, i never said otherwise.

But It was michaels idea in the first place, he got himself into the situation, obviously the doctor shouldn't have done it, but when you have that much money and power, your eventually going to get what you want, or find someone to get you what you want.



If i go out and buy some crack will you have sympathy for me when i get addicted and blame the crack dealer?

No, you'd expect me to take some responsibility for the situation that i got myself in.


What michael did was stupid, im not saying he is stupid but he made some stupid choices and it ultimatly caused his death. The same can be said for the doctor, they both made bad choices, and both of them eventually suffered the consequence of those choices (assuming the doc goes to jail)
 
The same crap happened when Princess Diana died! The public aren't THAT stupid! People know that ALL these people coming forward can't be trusted or believed 100% when its THAT obvious what there intentions are, which is to make a lot of money by benefiting from Michael's death!

With a face like Rabbi - who the hell is going to trust him? (Besides poor Michael who did. Aw Michael, he was so naive when it came to trust. He only looked for the best in everyone. He had this evil sleazy circle around him with no clue of the danger, which I'm sure comes from never experiencing a normal life and normal everyday people contact in normal every day situations. He had advisers (bad ones) advising him who to trust.)

a doctor told him it was safe to use it
and he did use it before and thought it was safe
he wanted to get some rest he wasn't getting high
ppl wanted him to fail he wanted to prove them wrong
he didn't kill himself he just trusted the wrong ppl
I understand your opinion but Micheal is dead he payed the price
now its time for the money hungry doctor(s) to pay

Ah didn't post how I feel about this whole thing...

Besides the fact that Shumley gets on my nerves this was a huge invasion of privacy (I haven't watched the show) with these tapes. If it's only bits of it they could be taken out of context. You might as well release the whole tape so it's harder to twist things. Who knows if Michael knew he was being recorded? If he knew he probably didn't want these tapes out there. Plus there's the fact that these are about 8 years old.

Shumley has said stuff in past interviews, that Michael needed to "Get rid of the stupid fans" and when Michael used to wear the surgical masks, he said "I told him, would you take that STUPID thing off you look like a monkey"

Like a monkey? Really I'm sure that helped him.

Bah. He's saving the rest of the tapes to make a another book.

I guess he can say whatever he wants just don't look into the mans disapearing money act with charities...

except in the other community there seems to be less distrust of Shumley.

right now you are dealing with a lot of hearsay and making a judgement call. all too easy. there are a lot of ideas being passed around, and a lot of things being discussed in the Investigative section..so...and it's an ongoing investigation.

it's funny how people are now saying that MJ had a lot of money and power. before June 25 they were busy saying he was broke. keep changing the saying, whenever convenient, so they can condemn Michael, in unwarranted fashion, at any time.
