It sure ain't sound like MJ at points, but he sure is there sometimes. Maybe all the time. We don't know.

We most have more details from the song before we judge... I am sure that we hear Michael's voice in "breaking news" but NOT as lead vocal.... Maybe is this a duet with another singer ?? He worked with many different artists... WE MOST HAVE MORE DETAILS.......

that didn't effect me, its the fact it doesn't sound like MJ but sounds like Jason Malachi.

April I didn't believe in these romours.I stayed all night waiting for the premiere.After 3 seconds of singing it hit me that this is not MICHAEL and something felt really wrong.I never imagined Sony will do something like that and risk the whole project.Now the only thing that will change my mind is for them to have a good explanation why Michael's not singing this song.

This quote I believe relates to Michael. These demos were created in 2007. Michael just 2 years ago dealt with his last trial, beaten down hurt by the media twisting everything. The trial was a circus. 2 years later you do not recover from that, and it's true the media did turn back on the love he had shared with the world, and as much pain as he was in why would he want to give it back? But as we all know Michael is a very loving person, and forgives, and that is what made Michael special.

So my point is when he had written these lyrics he was feeling the pain, and torture he had endured through the trial.

Katherine, and Michael's two children, Prince and Paris said it's not him.
I don't know if it's true or not. But if they really said it, then I would give them right.
La Toya even said it's not him in front of the camera.

I am not arguing with you but why would they lie? Don't they have 100's of songs available to them?
I remember when I first heard 2000 watts I kept checking the insert because I wasn't sure it was Michael. I admit it.

I was not believing them at the beginning and we don't need their opinion to have ours.

There's no doubt, this is a big scam and if only one of these songs is on the album I will not buy it.

People who respect Michael Jackson should do the same thing.

I just can't believe how one man with a crew, can fool half of the Michael Jackson fan base and rest of the world into believing THIS IS MICHAEL JACKSON. Good job indeed, Sony.

It's like throwing Michael's voice away.

I just don't know what's happening right now. I don't know what to do. I've only been thinking about this all day, nothing else.

And people saying "Sony said it is real so beat it!" WTF!? AND? CAN'T YOU TELL BY YOURSELF?

listened to it five times, its his vocals, and especially it is his recording technique -- many layers in exactly his style, even the hee hee

the only song I heard that is not Michaels is the Simpsons Song "Happy Birthday Lisa"

:) cool song in any way.

That's a bit out of order saying you don't have respect for Michael if you buy the album. No one knows what the hell is going on at the moment & should reserve judgement when we find out what is going on.

trying to zoom out a bit. what i'm seeing is that, regradless to whether fake or not, no one says that this track contains great singing...even those who are convinced that it's michael don't say that it's the great vocals that make them enjoy the song. why is that??

even if it's the real deal here, i expect the company to honour their late artist by choosing the best material, and that, of course, includes the vocals as well. the overall production here is arguable. the singing does not fit michael jackson standards for official release. it's either fake or poorly recorded demo that got heavyly filtered. none of that sould be released.

does anyone think that breaking news contains great singing? this is not a rhetorical question. i'd really like to know.

Its just a pity that we argue so much about the album and a song.

I really like the song, I also believe it is Michael. And he made it COOL!!!

For the record: a lot of people thought 2000 Watts sounded funny, and it wasn't until the original engineer explained what they did that people all agreed it was mike.

and i'll admit, I thought the voice sounded funny but I just thought it was mike's voice processed. the engineer confirmed it was mike singing in a lower register we weren't used to.

im not sure that's what we're hearing on Breaking News...

I'm not saying they're lying but something is fishy here guys. And of all the tracks to pick, why this one? When we know Place with No Name, Hold My Hand, Another Day are all CLEARLY michael's vocals. So why not just post one of those? It just seems like such an odd choice.

That said, vocals aside, the production is fantastic and the track is catchy as hell. It's just unfortunate that it doesn't sound like mike.
