If it turns out to be MJ, these are the weakest vocals, i'd ever heard from him. And I now understand why it has NEVER been released.

Even in Shout, Escape, 2000W etc. You can clearly feel his spirit right there, even thoug is another way of singing. But you can FEEL Michael Jackson in those songs, NOT on this one.

God i miss that human being, I really want to hear his voice again. Another Sad day for mankind!

you know, I have to agree with you. This is exactly how I felt too, and that's what makes me suspicious. But then again, it could be because he's no longer here and I'm still not over that, so...
yeah, I'm very confused.

I can still NOT feel Michael Jackson in those vocals.

His Spirit, emotions everything MJ is gone on this song. Even in his weakest songs (mostly Demos and Outtakes) You can clearly FEEL Michael Jackson is right there, you can FEEL his spirit. But it does'nt matter how hard I look into this song, I can NOT see him at all...

Awful vocals, can't hold the high notes for a time, fake vibratto, too much pushing and energy given in a try to sound like someone else... a perfect Malachi piss.

you probably say that cause theres no video of michael recording this, but im sure if you would see a video or something that proved its michael you would feel different!!!

There is absolutely no way it's Michael.

Can I ask if you listen to how words are pronounced in the song?

Do you hear the hiccups at the end of each line and automatically think only Michael could pull that off?

The thing is, people who claim it's fake only think this way because it's an observation taken from all aspects of the song. The song is definitely not a hit, it's actually quite poor when compared to anything he's released, or even demos we've heard over the years.

Also, note how the song is sung in a softer tone for the majority of the track, not only does this sound fraudulent, but when it becomes necessary for a bit of "gravel" in the sound, it completely falls apart. When the shouting starts, it's WEAK. You cannot mask that by saying it's a demo, I haven't heard a single demo from Michael new or old that I have doubted it's authenticity. It's either Michael or it's not.

I'm not even in the belief that ANY of the song is Michael, bar the obvious copied and pasted "Aaaooowww!" ripped straight from either Thriller or Bad.

It's just not possible. When you have to convince yourself something is real by telling yourself over and over again, you know you have problems.

I can't hear one bit of it that is Michael's voice! Not him at all!!!!!! there maybe a scream or two which could be a sample of Michael's voice taken from another song. MJ has nothing to do with this crappy song!

I don't know what to think... If it is Michael then his vocals are not at its best at all,they are very shaaaaky... And they shouldn't have released this song!!! Also, I am sure there are edited parts, that are not sung by him. Seems to me every time I hear "Michael Jackson" parts, it is not him!

I just listened to the a-capella. To be fair, there is 1 (yes, one) line that's Michael singing: "All the news today, they say we're crazy. And on the screen today, we're on display" .

THAT is the ONLY line that has Michael's real vocals. So yeah, sony was right when they said not ALL was Michael. lol.

Please stop the "Sony is phony" allegations crap.

Sony Music has - as it has already been said many times - neither to do with the production of the tracks nor with the selection of the tracks for the album.
The MJ Estate is making the decisions solely and "provides" Sony Music with all the material. Sony Music is only responsible for the distribution.
John McClain has chosen "Breaking News" as a teaser.

But many fans seem to forget that very easily because they can't think of another black sheep, right? ;)

I think they should release the Cascio tracks on the duets album and get Justin, Usher and Neyo to complete them. How could they even think this scam would go unnoticed???

I must not be alone when thinking this.

A lot of people understandably have tried convincing themselves it's Michael, and no one can blame them for that. You can crop 2 words from the end of a sentence and replay them at different speeds and tell yourself that Michael may have recorded it at 3am after a drinking binge, but for someone to have to convince themselves says it all.

Personally, I don't believe a single percent of this track, from the lyrics to the arrangement and vocals are legitimate. The lyrics are quite odd for a Michael Jackson track, and the vocals, demo or not, are not sung in a way we're accustomed to. I'm not talking about pitch, but singing style and how each word is expressed.

The song to me sounds like the work of someone who planned this from the beginning. A song written with what seemed to be "believable" subject matter for a Michael Jackson song in 2010. I think whoever wrote it figured Michael had just come out of a trial, would be quite pissed with the world and sing about how everyone (the media and various people) is bringing him down, like a HIStory repeat of some kind. Writing about this subject, on the surface SEEMS like a very Michael Jackson thing to do. Only it isn't convincing...

In the years following the trial, we heard rumours, listened to a few leaked demos and even got the chance to see Michael being interviewed and it seemed to me that Michael was planning to come back in a different light. If I look back at what was said in interviews, who we knew Michael was interested in working with, it seemed as though Michael wanted to go back to "dance-able" and "fun" music again. He wanted memorable hits - pop songs.

The only thing "REAL" about this track is the obvious cut/paste job of the "AAAoooowww".

as you know in 2007, Michael`s Vocals were not at his best!!!! and now they release what they have, even its good or kind of less good, cause its the only thing they have, theres no more new stuff!!!! its what they have period!!! and of course theres edited parts, cause the song was only finished in 2010... new effects were added, and vocals, and of course some Aaaaaaawwwoo`s were added from other eras to make the song sound better. Theres no proof its not him, and theres no proof its Malachi, so untill there is a proof of that, everybody should believe its him and wait for the album, thats what i think.

Well if I had to make decision at Sony, I WILL pull that track of the album, or everything that was made the same. even if it is mean delay the album next year. they were to focus on releasing this year and well see what happens now, in there rush they accepted everything they give them

That's definately the ONLY bit where we can hear Michael singing. You can tell it sounds a bit 'warmer' if that makes sense. I hope you guys can hear it....and that I'm not going crazy! LOL The "on display" is what got me. It's Michael's "on". :lol:

Couldn't agree more ;)
songs like Another Day and A Place with no name are authentic MJ-songs, because they really sound like MJ and his voice is cristalclear. All questionable songs should be left out of the tracklist!
