Why did you watch it for then if urkes you so much?

It doesn't urke me at all. Urkes isn't even a word. Owned.

Plus it was in the morning and I had nothing else to do. If I hadn't rewatched it to remember how much it sucks, then I wouldn't be able to talk about how much it sucks, and that'd just be a damn shame.

Urk is a word for starters. So get your fact right first.

Plus Im sure you could have found something else in the world to do than just sit there for 3 hours watching crap you hate that urks you! :wild:

Obviously I was joking about the fact that you spelled it wrong. Or rather, I thought it would be obvious, or at least it should've been obvious by the time you went and looked it up. And yet, here we are. Tsk.

Yes, because people have shit to do every 3 hours in their lives. I didn't even remember how bad it was until an hour into it, and I don't like not finishing a movie, unless I do have something better to do at the time. Do you really care about how I occupied myself that morning or are just put off because you're perhaps a Titanic fan? My condolences if that's the case, 'cause that movie was poo. Otherwise you just seem to be giving me advice on how my time in my room should be spent, which is NOYFB in the first place ;).

I think that Titanic getting four stars is equally tragic as the actual Titanic.

Went and saw it today :D

Enjoyed it a lot, but I dunno where I'd rank it against the others

I thought Gary Oldman was fantastic :kickass2: and Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine :D

Yes Heath's role was great, (but that's cause his an Aussie, all aussies are great) ^_^ lol nah it was good

Since The Dark Knight is headed to become the second biggest grossing film of all time (domestically), rumors have already begun as to what villains will be featured in the enevitable sequel. The latest from the rumor mill has Johnny Depp as The Riddler, Angelina Jolie as The Catwoman, and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin. Oh my!

Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin would be fantastic! Heck they could even have danny DeVito again really :D
All men (and a good handful of women) want to see Jolie in the cat woman outfit LOL

Another welcome addition to the next Batman movie would be Harley Quinn. Even those Ledger's left us, the character of the Joker can still be in the next film. You don't even need to cast him. You can have a character in a film without ever showing their face or hearing their voice. I think the patient-doctor relationship between the Joker and Harley needs to be there. But that doesn't mean the Joker has to be seen or even heard. You can just allude to the fact that Harley Quinn is visiting the Joker in Arkham on a regular basis and carrying out his dirty work on the outside.

You're right and they could do this quite easily, Dennis Hopper was great as the voice on the phone during the film Speed.

Id rather Depp play The Joker being that The Joker is still alive.

Depp would make a brilliant Joker imo, more so than as the Riddler.

17 Day Totals:

Dark Knight - Almost 400 million
Titanic - Almost 160 million

Mr. Wayne wins... for now. No one can beat the all-around sappy love story, though. Way to go DiCaprio! :wild:

The Dark Knight has just crossed the $400 million mark in a record setting amount of time - just 18 days of release. To give you an idea of just how big that is, let me share with you the previous record holder - Shrek 2, which crossed the same $400 mark in 43 days! It’s also worth noting that the movie is still grossing over $6 million on a Monday, which is more money than X-Files 2 took in during the film’s premiere Saturday/Sunday. [mediabynumbers]

Come on BATMAN keep going... !!!!!!!!!!! :)

One of the biggest travesties in motion picture history is how many people believe that Titanic is one of the greatest films of all-time.

It would soften the blow if one of these big time superhero sequels managed to outdo it at box office; it would be better if the new reigning box office champion was also a good movie (IE Dark Knight), but it's not that important, since anything is better than ****ing Titanic and its crazy ass four stars.

i believe it's spelled "IRK" so maybe that's y u didn't find it.

and take goofy drama to pm

"Irk" duh! Thats how its spelt  Thanx for that.

Oh - my - God.

I went to see this yesterday.
It was a w e s o m e . Especially the Joker.
They aren't talking about giving Heath an Oscar for nothing.
Somehow his great performance makes me feel even more sad that he isn't witnessing himself what he has done.
It's so unfair and so.. ironic?

I haven't seen The Batman Begins and I have never read the Batman comics so I may not always get all the things they talked about - the mafia and stuff.. but after all it was pretty easy to follow.
I just can't stop thinking about Ledger's amazing acting! It was just.. insane! Something I can't even describe in words!

R.I.P. Heath.

Finally saw the Dark Knight last night. Good film, enjoyed it but I dont think it quite lives up to the huge expectations I had of it and in all honesty was slightly disappointing. Ledger is great, but the plot and storyline made Batman himself pretty much a background character. It was more about Harvey Dent/Commissioner Gordons pursuit of the Joker. I primarily wanted to see this because of Christian Bale, I really enjoyed Batman Begins and I prefer that one to this. Hopefully the next Batman film will actually be about Batman. Im sure there will definately be one, its breaking records all over the place.

THE DARK KNIGHT DVD will be released November.

Warner Bros. hints that "The Dark Knight" could be the first release on Blu-ray to feature BD-Live.

Warner has been reluctant to use BD-Live on their Blu-ray releases.

"The Dark Knight" could be the first title to change this. With the enormous success of the movie Warner will no doubt make something special out of its DVD and Blu-ray releases and it could make the studio go for BD-Live. According to HCC Magazine the studio has hinted that a group of people will be able to start the movie simultaneously allowing for chat under and after the movie. Other possible features include library access and more.

"The Dark Knight" will most likely be released on DVD and Blu-ray this November or December.

More on what could be the most anticipated home video release of the year (Unless Star Wars arrives on Blu-ray of course. No, it has not been announced.) when I have it!

Looks like The Joker is running free in upstate New York. /Film reader Rob H came across this vandalized real estate billboard on Route 9 in Saratoga Springs, NY. Next thing you know, watch dog groups are going to be calling for a ban of the film, claiming it is a bad influence on the youth of America. Just remember folks - Guns don’t kill people, video games kill people. :p

Bob Dullam built a full size working replica of The Tumbler from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The whole thing was built from scratch without blueprints, using only photo references found online. The total cost is an estimated $50,000-$70,000. He did the project for fun, and does not plan to sell. “You wouldn’t want to sell this if you had one, believe me,” Bob writes
“It’s a once in a lifetime project. I did this alone, no help. I have found with other things in the past that if you have help, the help often does not get it right, and you have to do it over 95% of the time, plus I like to work alone. All parts are scratch built, cept’ tires, rims, brakes, engine, etc.. meaning all bodyparts, brackets, just about everything external on the car.”

There is still more work to do. The interior is not finished, but Bob promises that it will look as close to the interior shots from Batman Begins as possible.

“It feels like climbing Mt. Everest half way up, you start to wounder if this wasn’t a big mistake. Then you realize that you are too far to quit. In fact, quitting is now not an option. Because if you do quit, you will have set a precedence about yourself, and all up to this point will become a huge disaster. You get a little farther, now you look down and view is breathtaking. So on an emotional level this car is giving back to you, what you gave to it. It makes you start to think that, If you can do this, then you can make anything happen if you really want to. It revitalizes faith in yourself. This is not supposed to be possible. Not at this social/economic level.”

Up next, Bob wants to build a Batpod. From what I understand, the bike from the movie was actually impracticably engineered, and only one guy in the world was able to ride it. Hopefully Bob decides to modify the original designs a bit for usability. And yes, he’s already begun work on a Batsuit. So if you see a vigilante dressed as Batman riding the tumbler on the nightly news, we know it’s just Bob.

These early pre-Heath Ledger Joker conceptual designs can be found in The Art of The Dark Knight. I was shocked to discover that the Joker design they eventually settled on, actually seems a lot tamer than some of the early concepts. I recommend picking up the book, as it also features the entire shooting script.
