a MJ fan site and their admin who is not me. :)

and yeah we got the same heads up as well but we were trying to keep it secret :)

edit :btw I'm not sure if it's "big news" as Estate Online Team did not provide any information what it is about. All we know it's some info we'll get in this week. And you know me, I'm not big on creating a hype without knowing what we'll be getting or how big it is.

- they found more tapes?
- Wembley dvd will be a 2-dvd set with tons of extras

This was sent yesterday while the sales recording was going on so I think it's quite early to talk about IJCSLY. Plus they already told us there's a chance that it could be Number 1 so I don't think that a vague heads up was needed.

it seems to be an announcement (that will also go out to public and media) and not a statement (that only go out to the fan sites) . they did a similar "heads up / coming soon" before the Bad 25 announcement.

I know that we will be getting more info about the DVD and the tracklist but it seems to be too early for that.

I suspect it has something to do with either Spike Lee Documentary or the rumored August Pepsi concert.
 
I think it is something Pepsi related, maybe new commercial or Pepsi cans available in Europe, maybe even second Pepsi remix.
 
I really WISH it was the track listing for the album. Maybe it's a preview trailer for the Wembley show... I'll be disappointed if it's something like a fan event, because I'm ALWAYS busy when they happen and I never go :/

if you don't want to be disappointed then do not set unrealistic expectations.

I always say common sense is quite powerful.

We know that this will also be sent out to public / media. They already announced Bad 25 release. Tracklist information probably would not warrant a separate statement. It can be handled by updating the information provided to retailers or by a post on main MJ website. Plus just last week Joe Vogel said the tracklist wasn't finalized.

We know that more information for the DVD would come but again it's too early for it. The logic would expect them to give out any trailers and such closer to the release date.

It brings us to Spike Lee Documentary which we heard people tweeting about but not officially confirmed. Similarly annual Brooklyn Loves MJ details hasn't been posted yet. And there's rumors about a New York Pepsi concert. So I think that's the most probable announcement to expect. It'll also serve as the event leading up to the release of Bad25.

This is at least what I think. We'll see what it is in a few days.

note : and if I'm right and the Estate is reading this I want an invite / ticket to it :p

Yes I heard it's a Pepsi concert. They thought the cans were too accessible though so to ensure nobody can buy tickets they're not going to tell us where they will be on sale. They're just going to hide them discreetly on only some of the shelves of stores that are supposed to stock them.
 
For a single released 25 years ago - and is also on one of the best selling albums ever - it sells extremely well!!
 
There is almost no promotion at the moment and the single sells so well! Woohoo!
 
Cd singles don't sell many copies these days so it's not selling huge numbers. topping the cd singles chart is not a big achievement. Probably a thousand copies sold at most.
 
Really want to know what the Estate is going to tell us
 
I hope it is about them telling Pepsi to let us know where the pepsi cans are, but news about the pepsi show in August will be good too.
 
we should start fan prmotion that we wud kick into effect 4 weeks prior to release. ..

- flyers (car windshields/sneak into news papers/public places)
- Online ads (facebook/youtube/twitter/entertainment forums)
- t shirts

If we get active fans in all areas we can help effect the same ratio on this.. Dont forget how large we are all around.
 
Maybe it's about the Pepsi cans being a WORLD RECORD!

But I hope it's about BAD25 - and the next single.
