You are going to be one very disappointed fan when the music is released (in June IMO). It would be better for you to get used to the idea that what you hate is inevitable. Would save us all a lot of moaning later.

If they $ony/€state still want the money in this way by releasing only 12 tracks on an album. and insist what they have planed in order to save as much material as possible.
Fans have rights to tell what they want, if there's not their most wanted tracks. They could & should do NOT buy the album. That's not kidding. Enough is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only 12 tracks??? are u kidding me?</michael>

NO, not at all, the reproduced version will suck the album for sure!!!TDK-777, the Estate doesn't have as much as many of us think they do. There are not 200 to 300 songs out there. They can't afford to release sixteen tracks at a time. Ten to twelve is the best and wisest idea.
One album sell, or 2 albums don't sell. = 14-16 tracks for one album, or 10-12 tracks each for 2 album!!!
The Estate is going to release the original versions along with a reproduced version. We are getting the untouched demo.
i hope they come up with a strong uptempo song as a lead track for the new album. otherwise its over again.
APWNN is good but not strong/powerful enough for a new album. (it would be ok as an 3rd or 4th single).
first one should be smth like chicago (i trust timbo on that) or a proper STTR mix (not the 2010 shit version).
it should catch everybodies attention! that should be the main goal for the first 1-3 singles.

What sounds "cool" and "current" now will sound dated in 5 years. So careful with this whole making it sound like it's current thing as if current=good (it isn't). On the long term a song that sounds like how MJ intended it actually might have more value whether it has hit potential currently or not.
I know this is all about making instant $ for Sony/Estate and that they want to score a hit and that some fans are desperate for a hit too at any price (even if it means it's not even MJ's music any more), but I'm not. I'm not saying it wouldn't be great to score hits, but I also know the realities of posthumus releases. I don't think it's realistic to expect a posthumus album by an artist who is not here any more to compete with the current most popular artists and their hits. Those artists are here to promote and MJ is not.
If Timbaland works on it it seems obvious that they want to update the sound to "current" somehow. I'm not against it but I have ambivalent feelings about it. Let's wait and see is my stance about it. I just hope it will be faithful to MJ and it won't be just Timbaland's music with MJ singing on it but it will have MJ's initial vision and style incorporated in it.
Wow, Hess and Zakk, you two really raised the excitement level in here over the last few days! Thanks for sharing when you simultaneously heard APWNN being played on that radio station and giving us a report. Very fun.

it's there job. if $ony / €state dont want money, they wouldn't release Cascio tracks and still try to cheat fans as many as possible without saying a word 'Sorry' with release a Michael Jackson album with full original hits!!!
If your statement was implying what I think it was, correction: Bad 25 was a GREAT release in Your opinion, regardless of how one may feel about it.Uhm, they won't be releasing anymore Cascio songs in the future, and outside of the Michael album, the estate no longer mentions those records. It's bitter folks who just can't stand the Estate who continue to bring those songs up in regards to a new album. Bad25 was never released on VHS, by the way.
Nobody supported the Michael album the way you're claiming. Many people don't even feel like it was the success that it should've been. But we've moved on, we're willing to give the Estate a chance to prove that they've learned from their first mistakes. BAD25 was a symbol of that, that was a GREAT release, regardless of how one may feel about it. They gave us everything we asked for, they gave us remastered versions of the original album songs, they gave us the songs that didn't make the final cut, they gave us a live performance album along with that. AND for the first time ever, released the Wembley shows to us, could the quality have been better? Sure it could've, but they did so much with that one release. Which I think proves, that low and behold, they do care about us, and what we want, and have nothing but Michael's and his fans best interest at heart.

I don't agree with a lot of what was said here in defense of the Estate, but the last part I highly disagree with- they are still a business after all and even if it may seem like I'm holding a dramatic grudge, they'll always be a little chip on my shoulder since they never acknowledged their mistake with the Cascio tracks with an apology. They let it drift away.
If I keep away from this thread my excitement dips down, which works because as soon as there's actual news and I find out (probably from it'll be just the right time for me to blow up with excitement and mark my calendar.
