It depends what you are used to and what you expect from a headphone. There are open ones where everybody in the room will also hear the sound. With closed ones less sound will 'get out'. Open ones are easier for your ear and long listening sessions! If you want to have a more or less neutral sound which doesn't add anything to the music, I can recommend you my sennheiser hd 595 which have an open build. New they cost like 400 dollars, but you could get used ones for like 140. Used ones might actually better because some people say headphones have to 'burn in' for like 100 hours to get the best possible sound. There are of course even better headphones, the diffrence will be noticable but no quantum leap.
As was said, I read beats by dr. Dre are fancy and all, but you can get better ones with more accurate sound for the same price. In general I would recommend to read a lot of reviews and if you can test them at a store with an MJ track you know inside out and know how it should sound.
