Well like I said there are people who swear 'burn in' is real. BUT I dont know about that. Sound-wise you normally have no disadvantage when buying a used headphone.
You are of course right about the cables. Headphones in this league will also sound better when connected to a good amplifier instead of lets say a laptop.

I'll just be using my High Qualiry speakers for Xscape! Should do the job, even when I play tape sourced material.. It sounds fantastic! (LNFSG)

I know what you mean. Some people swear that thicker cables are better. But it's completely untrue. They don't realize that everything depends on how powerful your headphones/loudspeakers are, and also how loud they listen to the audio. If the cable is to thick, without enough power, the sound will have difficulties to get to the headphones/loudspeakers, hence loss.

Regarding "burning in", unless it is a mechanical machinery, I am not convinced at all. The performance of electronical devices and electricity have nothing to do with "burning it". With headphones or loudspeakers, if their quality is good, it should be immediately perceptible and remain as such after 100 hours of listening.

"burning in" is more psychological. It may take some time before one gets comfortable with the headphones "new" sound.

I have a question for Qbee! What was the overal consencus about 'Do you know where your children are'? Did they worry about the song being controversial, especially with the Wade case... I really hope they have it in them to release this song as a single if it's really as strong as they say it is!!

There's never any certain date for snippets to be listenable on the iTunes Store. It always varies album by album. Sometimes you can preview them before hand, other times (usually for the bigger artists) you can't.

I remember for Bad 25, I couldn't preview the snippets before the album was released. However, I remember it came out in Germany first so I just switched over to Germany's iTunes store and played Don't Be Messin' 'Round, Price of Fame and Al Capone's snippet over and over (as I had heard 1-minute previews of the last two on YouTube. I saved the other songs and the full versions for when I got my hands on the CD though :p).

I think that's what'll happen for Xscape to be honest. The album first comes out on 9th May in Germany, Spain, Austria, Sweden, Finland and New Zealand so if you're outside of those countries, you can switch to one of those countries' iTunes Stores from 12am their local time and be able to preview the snippets :)

It would be cool if Sony could release after XSCAPE another Album with 2 Discs.

Then, on Disc 1 there would be:

5 Demos from Off The Wall,
5 Demos from Thriller,
5 Demos from Bad.

On Disc 2:
5 Demos from Dangerous,
5 from HIStory &
5 from Invincible.

They are releasing 8 new songs now. They released 7 on MICHAEL. Why would they release 15 on the next one? Not gonna happen.

I love Hot Street.
It's actually a really great song, and IMO better than TGIM.
Too bad it didn't maked the album.

Can we trust iTunes official album review perhaps? With them mentioning Mary J. Blige & D'Angelo being featured.. That must confirm Hot Fun being included? I guess it's just a matter of waiting for the estate's official word, surely there's something coming in the next 4-5 days.
