Here in Egypt so many MJ fans , the radio announcers tired of getting requests his songs and last monday they broadcasted on a music show program Ghosts the short film on the national TV and talked about the new album

I'm really looking forward to seeing how well he does here in the states. I so want people to embrace this album, and maybe in some area of the country they will. But where I live, I'm not holding my breath It's awesome though that he's still so loved everywhere else. He deserves nothing less

Here in Brazil the DEMO version of 'A Place With No Name' was played on some radios, a few weeks ago.

Some Michael fans are so ungrateful and are some of the biggest brats I have ever encountered. Stop complaining, relax, and wait. You will get it when you get it and not a minute sooner. Geeze.

There's always people like this in every fandom. While I don't agree with their negativity, I say let them be.

Glad to see a lot of positive reviews coming out about the album. :clap: On another note, Amazon doesn't seem to have updated the track list yet...

I'm not too familiar with Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon. He's likely only co-producing tracks with Timbaland, right? I wonder if there's any chance John McClain teamed up with a co-producer this time around.

Speculating on XSCAPE's production credits:

- Love Never Felt So Good (John McClain?)
- Chicago (Timbaland, J-Roc?)
- Lovin' You (John McClain?)
- A Place with No Name (Stargate?)
- Slave to the Rhythm (Timbaland, J-Roc?)
- Do You Know Where Your Children Are (Timbaland, J-Roc?)
- Blue Gangsta (Stargate?)
- Xscape (Rodney Jerkins)

Also, I'm just now realizing how many hit songs Stargate has worked on in the past. Some examples can be heard here.

I honestly don't care about the originals as much. I'm pumped for the new versions.

Same. The new mixes are more intriguing to me. I want to hear what modern producers can do working with Mike's voice and songs. Many fans will find that blasphemous, but whatever.

Xscape was completed by Michael in 2003 correct? I'm curious to know if we are to get the original demo from I believe to be 1998?

Recorded for the first time in 1999; Michael last worked on it in December 2002. It could be considered "finished" but we all know that Michael's thought process was different than ours.

No. It was stated that those who made those claims were inaccurate.

Definitely. There's also that overwhelming idea that just because Michael did it himself immediately makes it better than what anyone else can do. Even though This Is It, Hold My Hand, Behind the Mask and Much Too Soon are all high and above their original versions.

Are you thinking of the same person I am? There has been a person saying it will be released early may but im talking about another poster from yesterday saying that one of the fans who went to one of the listening sessions were told by sony the single would be released may 5th. Since a few hours ago dat post has been removed.

Im honestly glad to come into this thread and see a large majority appreciating the album. For a while I was seeing this go for a negitive turn with fans by it makes me happy to come here and share the joy instead of spending so much time defending..

But I can't say I'm hyped for Hot Fun in the Summertime if that's the bonus track. I'll wait until more information is revealed before further judgment. Just my opinion but the guest features (Mary J. Blige & D'Angelo) vocally, I can't imagine on the same track.. and not in a good way!

Shields said May 6th for single and the accompanying video (Michael made short films) will be released with the deluxe cd on May 13th. We have over two weeks to see if he is right but I believe he is.

Skip Dillard, a New York-based radio broadcaster who attended to Epic Records listening session at Top of the Rock on April 8, told me that the plan is for the single to hit radio in early May. Assuming the track launches on a Tuesday, that would be May 6. That would give the track one week of solid airplay before the album, and accompanying short film, is released on May 13.

It was blasphemous indeed and not because I'm assumming everything what Michael recorded was perfect, I'm not doing so but you're preferring someone else's vision without even know it over Michael's, that's blasphemous!

Well if we're digging in the crates (with this song being from '98) I should say let's grab Lauryn Hill instead cause I just can't hear her (Mary J. Blige) doing a duet or anything with Michael that would sound good or be a hit.. most of her later + new stuff sounds generic, boring and bland to be honest but hopefully I'm wrong if it's the deluxe bonus track.
I'd like every track to fit Michael's standards somewhat!

It was blasphemous indeed and not because I'm assumming everything what Michael recorded was perfect, I'm not doing so but you're preferring someone else's vision without even know it over Michael's, that's blasphemous!

He is not here anymore to complete them, that's something everyone needs to accept.

Bringing the tracks to life with L.A. Reid supervising the project is comforting. He is an enormous MJ fan and he has worked with him for a long time. MJ was a musical hero and the mainstream public will be reminded by this when listening to the album. His music will never die, I am also looking forward to the new mixes!

If you don't like it, there are the original recordings just for you to enjoy on the deluxe version .

This project seems to be handled with care and at the same time they listened to our needs, also thanks to the 'submit your message to the MJ Estate' thread in the Michaelmania section.

Please people enjoy this excitement and support MJ's legacy. The earned money from sales will also go to charity and MJ's kids!! Remember that!

But more importantly, this will finally be an album with a high potential to become the best selling record of 2014!

Now that's a big compliment to Michael's hard work all over the years! We promised that we are the ones who will keep his legacy alive.

I know. The Estate/Sony most likely requested confidentiality on some subjects during the fan gathering and that post may put that attendee in breach of that.

I will buy and listen to the whole deluxe version, no doubt about it to have complete opinion on the reworked tracks. It's just nonsensical saying to prefer the new versions over Michael's vision without even listening them.

I somewhat agree.. I mean, D'Angelo?? (If true) how is he worthy enough to be on a song with MJ? (I do love "brown sugar" tho)

Did MJ ever express a desire to record a song with MJB? (Like just them two)

Although I will postpone full judgement until I hear the song (if the rumors are true).. I'm sure LA Reid wouldn't put out something that just plain sucks..

Mary J. Blige & D'Angelo have quite similar vocals to the original duet partners on Sly's first version of Hot fun! I am looking forward to that song if it is indeed the bonus track, which is more or less confirmed right now. Never judge a song by slight details is what should be said here though.

I really feel like may 5th/6th is just too close to the album release date. How are they going to maintain hype for the album until then? Talk about the album has already slowed down considerably. IMO they should of released the single a few weeks prior to the album.
