2Pac didn't have anything to do with the sampling of Liberian Girl, the producer that worked on the posthumous album did (until the end of time)
this is the ORIGINAL version before it was remixed for the album

Sure, it's okay for a remix and all. But if that were to be used as a serious way to promote this album (which I do not think is the case at all), I personally think it'd be lame and pretty cheap.

Changes wasn't really finished they used a whole verse from a earlier track called I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto which was on the album R U Still Down (Remember Me)

Xscape is now not even in top 300 album list on iTunes. :(
I think a single soon would be a smart move.

a just released teaser of one of the hottest grp out there has over 20k likes in 10minutes whereas MJ's album teaser has only 8K likes and less than a million views one week after it's released.

If you expect a posthumus album to compete with the hottest current acts you only set yourself up for disappointment. MJ is not a current act. MJ also has nothing to prove any more. Fans need to keep their expectations in check.

Also, why should an album that hasnt even been released yet be doing well in charts? If people are going to pre-order something, then they are obviously big fans. I would never pre -order an album unless I was a huge fan.

Relax people. Its a posthumous album that hasnt been released yet! It should do well after the release date haha!

Commercial from Time Square? Posters? News reports? Announcement? Sony Mobile partnership. Facebook/iTunes adverts. Twitter/FB/Youtube advertising.

What else would you expect? Branca and McClain to start performing the tracks on a world tour?

Hype doesn't mean that all your neighbors are going to stop living and praise MJ's posthumous unreleased and unheard album. Hype is when DJs are excited over MJ's new release and are eager to play, scratch, remix, butcher the songs in da clubs in addition to fans' excitement. But, if some fans are constantly disappointed and spread negativity like a disease, don't blame others for not getting carried away by the new releases.

i'd be happy if it is the worldwide best selling album of 2014. i have realistic expectations.

And posthumus album at that.

Fans should relax. If the singles will apply to the general public it will be a successful album, if not then not. As simple as that. The general public will not hype a posthumus album yet that they do not even know the content of.

What we had so far is that a couple of people (journalists mainly) could listen to the album. The reviews are mainly positive, so that's a good sign.

To expect it to be the bestselling album of 2014 is not realistic IMO. Like I said MJ is NOT a current artist. He cannot make new music, he cannot make new videos, he cannot promote it. It's irrealistic to expect him to compete with the hottest current acts. Of course, if it happens and he will have the biggest selling album of 2014 I will be more than happy about that. But to act like everything else would be a failure is just wrong.

Till then reading reviews and watching like listening Events are organized is fine for me.

I LOVE the news about Thriller, I love the cover and all the work that I’ve seen\heard so far.

IMO it is important to enjoy the moment !!!

I imagine there will be something coming at least a month before release, mentioning of a single has been discussed by several people. Coming to promotion, i'm sure there will be advertisements leading up to the album's release. don't expect something close to what Michael did for HIStory though.

Don't get me wrong, Thriller will always have a special place in my heart because I discovered Michael with that album but I wish his 90's albums which are better were more celebrated. Even Sony/Estate put too much emphasis and effort on Thriller.

I hope to see real efforts from both Sony and the Estate to promote Xscape, I'd be ecstatic if it surpasses the previous releases.

There will be a lot of disappointed people then. I do have realistic expectations, and I do not think it will even come close to Thriller. I think it will do well, but not like that.

It bugs me when people want to compare everything to Thriller. I hate to disappoint people, but not everything with his name on it can do so well. If Xscape was to surpass Thriller, there would have to be something super-incredibly special about it, something that was more revolutionary than Thriller. And, as of this moment, I just do not see that with this album.
