What would you guys think about having APWNN as the first single? Imo, it's perfect radio material and everyone I know (who aren't even MJ fans) loved the song.

It was Bad 25. Billboard counted the double cd and the box-set seperate.

What do you guys think who produced which song? I wonder which songs Stargate did and how they sound. I'm very familiar with Timbaland sound so I'm sure his songs will be great. I'm not that familiar with Stargate's work (except few global hits of artists who I either don't like or don't care about) so I'm both excited and little worried how that will sound. I was very happy when I saw that photo of MJ & Stargate, it somehow seemed right that they are doing this.

My guess would be:

1. Love Never Felt So Good (John McClain)
2. She Was Loving Me (new Chicago) (Timbaland - confirmed)
3. Unknown '80 track (Timbaland)
4. A Place With No Name (Stargate)
5. Do You Know Where Your Children Are (Timbaland - confirmed)
6. Slave To The Rhythm (Timbaland - confirmed)
7. Blue Gangsta (Stargate)
8. Xscape (Rodney Jerkins - confirmed)
9. Hot Fun In The Summertime (D'Angelo - confirmed)

Overall yes you are right, the videos were lacking. Of course you have to realize that no videos will ever be up to Michael's standard from now on. so with that in mind I thought HMH hit the mark- it really hit my heart strings. HT was okay, they tried to go with an MJ inspired theme, the BTM was terrible. I just don't understand why they didn't go for the official proper video- I hope one day we will be able to view that one.

So we will see what they do for these songs. They did say they will have unprecedented promotion for this album -so far with the "The best you've never heard" posters around the UK and the ad in Times Square they've done better than Michael or even Invincible I believe. Does anyone know if Invincible cover was in Times Square?

I think this time around the majority of the fan community is behind this 100% and the estate knows this - so they will continue to work on promotion full force.

Wow, just checked his last top 20 hit was in 1995, last top 10 hit in 1994 and last #1 in 1991. I don't understand why is he always compared with Michael when they are not even in the same league!

You'd need to take some time and listen to the songs more than once to gain access. And unfortunately few people did it...

Coincidentally i just twittered about Tabloid Junkie - ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MJ SONGS EVER! If you take the time & immerse in the song you just have to appreciate this as a great & very unique piece of art. You can hear the effort which was put into it, all these layers of sounds, that staccato verses & that otherworldly chorus & harmonies. Also the beats of course.. Tabloid Junkie is simply MAGIC, not to forget the message. One of the most important messages regarding MJ as a person & how he was treated.

And nobody has this song on his list, i can't understand why. I think it's because of the people don't take their time & listen closely.
But that is their fault, because they are missing out immensely...

Tabloid Junkie is one of my favorites too! I loved it the first time I heard it. So great to hear those beats and harmonies- I was hooked! love that song - it is magical.

Fun Fact of the day - Tabloid Junkie is sped up about 4.16% on the album, this was to make sure the album fit on a 74 minute CD.

I am the source xD

Nah I started remixing the song, and noticed no notes fit it. I pitch shifted it down 50 cents/ half a semitone and it worked, and sounds alot more natural. The HIStory album CD is something like 73 mins 44 seconds long? Speeding up TJ took around 11 to 12 second off its overall time, so was probably to make sure the album fit on CD.

When was APWNN fully leaked? and I am just curious does it have a resemblance to the way you make me feel? so it's a mid tempo song not a ballad like the original A Horse with no Name?

Who are you referring to? If it is Prince then you are so correct, I don't care for him at all!

You don't happen to have a version with the pitched decreased like that laying around? I would like to hear the difference :)

If Prince released the right songs from his vault in the 80's and 90's he would have WAY more.

I have been meaning to make a video about it for like a month but am too Lazy, I just put one together to show difference, will upload it now.

Have any of you discussed the new album with friends who are not massive fans of Michael? What are their feelings about it? Work colleagues are looking forward to hearing it and even the haters I work with admit that they are intrigued what it will sound like. Not had any really negative comments.

As regards to saying about ppl hearing songs , but to complex for some, thats why estate needs to show how and more importantly WHy he mad the songs. Look NME is usually crap to Michael but they done a big article on how Michael Jackson made music. It was all related to the making of beat it that was leaked!

I also would love to know what has been done with the katrina song, from the bottom of my heart,i have this dream, and the fan song he mad i love you.

As soon as it was announced, at least six people texted me about it to make sure I was up to date, lol. They're all casual fans (though one of my best friends lies somewhere between massive and casual) but they all said that they'll be checking it out when its released.

I am kinda Feeling/Wishing That Timbo was the producer of BG for the new album :D He would def treat it soo right :D
