I won't be buying it.These people don't have a clue what Michael Jackson was about, how much of a perfectionist he was about his music and how he didn't want to put something out there for the mere sake of having something to sell. He deserves better than what these quick buck, cheap suit, snake oil salesmen are about to dump on the public.

from the information we have, we're getting Michael's Demo's that he worked on himself as well as the newly mixed versions. I respect your opinion, but the estate are working so hard to make us happy...

The new album, at this stage, will go with a “then and now” / “past and present” type theme, featuring both new remixes and original versions of unreleased Michael Jackson recordings.

The Estate have communicated to fans that no more Cascio tracks will be included on any future Michael Jackson releases

Hey, let's not forget that much of Michael's purpose for making Bad was for it to outsell Thriller. Michael was just as much about sales as the estate does (that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but still it applies).

It's been a mixed battle recently. Some fans said, "Michael's music needs to be released untouched." Other fans said, "The estate needs to touch the songs up so they appeal to a new generation." Now, the estate is giving us BOTH. This is honestly the most incredible thing they could have done, because it's a win win scenario: revamped versions of songs for radio airplay and the original, untouched recordings for the hardcore fans to enjoy.

This release is not going to be perfect; hell, no release will ever be perfect. All the estate can do is try to do their best. Bad 25 was a major step up from previous releases, and now this new studio album is yet another step.

We will never know exactly what Michael would have wanted. Hey, for all we know he could have wanted Bad 25 released as it was! (Of course, the DVD wouldn't have been sourced from a VHS but content wise, it's not unlike Thriller 25.) We aren't dealing with Michael Jackson anymore, so we need to get that thought out of our heads.

All we can do is enjoy what we're given.

Please estate don't forget to put a "peace" song on the album as Michael was always do.

I'm aware it can't be released everything at once but I hope we can get as many unreleased tracks as possible. With everything those vulture Jacksons and Wade Crookson have made us going through this year, we really needed such good news like this and Michael's beautiful legacy needs a boost and good publicity. I can't wait to hear what he left behind, probably masterpieces in making!

I wouldn't get too excited too prematurely. With Michael album Sony was also saying that the album would be amazing, Harvey Levin compared it to Thriller and everyone hinted that the Cascio songs sound especially fantastic. And look at what we got. After that I lost my trust in Sony as someone who is able to tell fantastic from crap.

Maybe this album really will be awesome. But I'd rather keep modest expectations and be pleasantly surprised than bitterly disappointed.

If they do go with the double disc route I home the demos aren't rough rough demos. I'd wanna to hear it exactly as Michael last left it to see how much of a difference between his and these current/updated versions. Also, I hope they do Physical singles releases with A Capellas, instrumentals and radio edits etc etc. Please go big this time Estate/Sony. None the less I'm very excited!!!

I hope they release as much unreleased tracks as possible, 15 tracks of unreleased songs at least.

I believe not all those original version unreleased songs will have a "new updated version". I believe there will be many original untouched unreleased songs on side A, and there will only be some selected songs from side A that will be remixed on side B. So no, I hope they won't compromise the number of untouched original songs that will be included in side A just because there is side B (the new updated version/mix).

I hope they release at least 15 original untouched unreleased songs or more on side A, then side B includes new updated versions of SELECTED tracks from side A.

So as I expected there won't be an album this year. I just felt it was just too damn quiet for their to be something planned within one or two months.

Awesome, awesome news though. Original and remixed versions? this could be BIG! I'm absolutely stoked! I really hope some songs don't get updated however. Escape for example does not need updating/remixing whatsoever!

I, like other fans, think there should be two versions of the album. One with just the remixed versions and a bonus two cd version with one disk being the updated remixed songs and the second disk being the originals/demos.

I also think this is the most likely scenario (if the concept of this album remains the same): A 1-disc version with the new mixes for the general public. Singles would also be these versions. For the fans, there could be a 2-disc edition. The second disc could feature the latest original versions of songs featured on disc one (like Michael left them or "completed" for release by original producers). Hopefully, we will get the original version of each song, not just a few.

I'm hoping for at least 12 tracks (24 if you count both versions). But I do realise they have to "save" some tracks. But I also think for commercial success it's "now or never", so they should go full out with this album with the best material available imo.
Cant wait for the release!!!

This album's going to be awesome! Can't wait to hear some new material!

It seems we'll never get to hear his work with Will.i.am unfortunately :(

Also I know some people thought they were fakes but personally I loved the Cascio tracks and it's a shame that, if that's true they won't release anymore, there's 9 MJ songs we'll never get to hear! Ah well.

Also interesting if "Do You Know Where Your Children Are" is going to get remixed on the album. That's cool, I loved the leak of that.

One thing I have to say, not sure how I feel about the album being remixes, I mean I would prefer material we haven't heard before but hey, as long as the new album's good I'll be happy!

we may be getting the 1989 demo of slave to the rhythm worked on by LA Reid & Babyface!!!! AAAAAAH *.* 1989 sessions are a symphony for me!! and it's the last true change that happened to Michael's voice (evolutionary) of course. the soulful aspect.. just after the BAD Tour. Each song from that year sounds epic!! it's going to be completely awesome! and I think they'll be 2 editions of this! the regular edition mixed by artists of today, and the deluxe edition. called 'the fans extended edition' with the Demo's, be cool if there's a bonus track also!! maybe the last ever version of 'Hollywood' or 'What More Can I Give' solo recording, no matter what....... IM BUYING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :) :) :)

All nine songs leaked on the internet. You can listen to them if you want every day. It's not shame they won't be released. It's a shame the three got released.

it will be so interesting to hear the original version and the updated version.
actually STTR is nearly 25years old, the vocals sound still so current and fresh, mixed with a nice timbo production could be something big for the charts!

updated versions for chart success and the original demos for hardcore fans. best project we ever had?
hopefully the promotion is done right
