The charts from countries without sales stats are weighted to the size of its markets according to the latest IFPI-statistics (exception: albums with huge sales in these countries are weighted higher). Albums which placed in most or all of our monitoring countries, get additional sales for countries which haven't an official charts like Russia, China, India, Turkey etc.
Similar to the US-Billboard chart the global Track Chart based on a combination of sales and airplay. At the moment the ratio is 75% (sales) to 25% (airplay). The chart includes singles sales and paid-download stats from the USA (Billboard Digital Songs), Japan(Oricon Single Chart), United Kingdom (Official Charts Company Top 100), Germany(Media Control Single Chart), France (ChartsInFrance Top Singles & Titres), South Korea (Gaon Digital Chart), Canada (Billboard Canadian Hot 100), Australia (ARIA Singles Top 50), Italy (FIMI Top Digital Download), Spain (Promusicae Top 50 Canciones), Netherlands (Mega Single Top 100), Belgium (Ultratop Singles), Norway(VG Lista Topp 20 LÂT), Sweden (Sverige Topplistan, Veckans Singellista), Finland(Suomen Virallinen Lista, Singlet), Denmark (Hitlisterne Track Top 40), Austria (Media Control, ORF Singlecharts), Switzerland (Media Control Singles Top 75), Ireland (IRMA Top 100 Singles), New Zealand (NZ Music Charts, Singles), and the iTunes-charts from the countries without an official hitlist.
