No joke tho the FROZEN soundtrack is really really well made.. I'm a grown ass man (29) and my daughter (who's 5) and myself and even including my wife know every damn word to that soundtrack (and movie actually)..

So good for disney.. They've been needing a hit movie and soundtrack..

Frozen is a full blown phenomenon.. It recently became the biggest grossing animated movie of all time.. It beat The Lion King and Toy Story 3 which were the top 2 until Frozen slayed them...

But anyways, there's no way Xscape will reach those type of sales.. But as long as they release another single or 2 I can easily see it doing close to 2mil worldwide..

OMG... XSCAPE is at #25 at HDD's counting... It's now in 54,50%
Only 4317 units have been sold. This is a disaster...

I said they f***ed up big time by not releasing 2nd single before June, 25.

Thanks for the post but we really need to wait for the final results before drawing any conclusions. These early results are not a good indication of the final sales. This was also the case for the past two weeks. A lot of Xscape's sales are coming from physical copies which are apparently mostly reported in the later stages of the count.

We'll see tomorrow... I hope so that you are right. Otherwise this will be a disaster for us. Like OnirMJ said they should have released a 2nd single before June 25th... I do not understand at all what they are waiting for.

Once again people freaking out before the final numbers are in. This is not a disaster, the album was estimated to be at around #15 this week due to a lot of new strong releases. It will probably get a slight boost this week due to the anniversary, so i expect it to sell more next week.

If you want a disaster, just look at the Mariah Carey album, it will likely be out of the chart.

Adult R&B Songs
*** No. 1 (1 week)*** "Love Never Felt So Good" Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake
The late King of Pop reigns again, as Michael Jackson's "Love Never Felt So Good," with Justin Timberlake, lifts 2-1 on Adult R&B Songs. Jackson previously topped the chart (which launched in September 1993) with "You Are Not Alone" for three weeks in 1995 and "Butterflies" (five, 2002). Meanwhile, Timberlake lands his first Adult R&B Songs No. 1. He'd previously reached No. 2 with another superstar duet, "Until the End of Time," with Beyonce, in 2008.

Greatest Gainer No. 11 "Good Kisser" Usher
Debut No. 30 "Forever Love" Kandi Featuring Q Parker

Great news for LNFSG but why don't the Estate release a second single?

.. or David Morales remixes of LNFSG. Why have one of the best DJ's in the world remix the song and then not release it. Also what happened with Jackie Jackson remix?? Promotion sucks again, just like MICHAEL, Bad25 and Invincible. They promote it for 2 weeks and then it's over. Sad.

The Last Photo Shoots seems to be cancelled too. (Although it isn't from Sony/Epic)

HDD now final. Xscape is 17 this week with 15.6K units sold. There are 8 new releases ahead of Xscape. Hopefully, it will move up a few notches next week. Really looking forward to the next single! Seems like it is definitely time now

Indeed, without the new releases, it would have stayed inside the top 10 and maybe even moved up a notch or two. Great consistency.

I think they haven't released a new single because they were planning on LNFSG lasting thru the summer, they were trying to hype it as the song of the summer. I was expecting it to do much better and last longer then it did, it's a great feelgood song, I don't understand why it didn't catch on.

If they expected it to be the song of the summer and they do not have a plan B if it doesn't become that then that's pretty incompetent IMO.
It's a posthumus song made of an old demo. And no matter what you cannot overlook the huge disadvantage of the artist not being here to promote his material. Considering that I think it did/does well. Also look at the type of "music" that is a hit these says. Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande etc. Enough said.

I think without massive airplay nobody can expect a huge hit and no veteran act is getting massive airplay. Considering this, LNFSG got to 47-48 million impressions, which is amazing (for conparison Hold My Hand got around 14 million if I remember correctly). So the song has done great, even the chart experts at Pulse and ATRL forums are saying so.

I'm confident they will release the second single soon. There's no reason whatsoever after a successful single not to follow it with another one.

They can promote the second single in July and August and then a third one in September/October and some additional promo for the holidays will get the album through the year. Just my scenario.
