Xscape chart positions. (incl. singles)

The Michael-Album was out of Top Ten after two weeks in USA and UK and never comes back.

"MICHAEL" CHART-RUNS

USA:
*3*-5-18-21-32-50-64-56-108-130-146-148-174-OUT

UK:
*4*-5-30-43-38-57-95-129-135-148-199-108-89-113-114-124-138-179-OUT
Re-entry (4.06.11): 145-160-184-OUT

I don`t think they will release a single now. They will wait until July.

So it's expected to be back in the Top 10 on Billboard next week? That's great. I think the Michael album fell off a lot quicker, even though initial sales were better (mainly because of the Christmas market and overall better general sales on the record market four years ago). But I agree that things have gone quiet around the album now for about a month. It's like they promoted it before release and for one week after release but there is nothing since then. A new single, with a video should come now.

It was also the first "new" album after his death hype.

#13 LNFSG (-2)
#14 XSCAPE (-3)

I'd love to shove it into Roger Friedman's face who wrote last week that Xscape was down to #25 on Billboard and not coming back. Where did he even take that number from? It was never #25. And what happened to Mariah's new album that Roger hyped so much? (Nothing personal against Mariah, just the fact that Roger tried so hard to make it look like Xscape was a flop, while he hyped up Mariah.)

CRAIG CAMPBELL – Keep Them Kisses Comin’: 50.817 (+ 0.301)
M. JACKSON & J. TIMBERLAKE – Love Never Felt So Good: 47.216 (+ 0.109)
USHER – Good Kisser: 41.836 (+ 0.158)

This is slightly better than Vince

Vince was like 1, 3, 4, 14.... Never came back to top ten.

Even with a live Michael Jackson, no chart magic happened.

It's interesting to me that he didn't say anything about lawsuit against his friends. I was expecting he would be all over it defending them. Maybe they stopped paying him? Or he finally realized that is over.

Even though Invincible was released when Michael was alive it (unfortunately) didn't chart well in the long term because Michael wasn't promoting it himself (for the obvious reasons) and neither were Sony. So clearly no magic was gonna happen there. Now Epic\Sony and the MJ estate are all up to this project. Still waiting for the next step :) doesn't look like they're going to do it in June though.

Have u guys noticed many songs in charts now are from 2013? John Legend's "All of Me" single is almost a year old and its success is only for the last 2-3 months. There are also "Dark Horse" and "I'm The Man" that I hear a lot on the radio\music channels and I was surprised to read they been out for a while. Pharell's "Happy" is very constant though his other single (which is better IMO) isn't doing as good.

Michael Jackson's "Xscape" lands in the Top 10, 50 Cent's "Animal Ambition" falls out of the Top 10 and Iggy Azalea's "The New Classic" falls out of the Top 20.

Following a strong first week in the Top 5, 50 Cent's Animal Ambition has dropped out of the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums this week. Still, Animal Ambition remains the top Rap album on the chart. Michael Jackson's Xscape has the top R&B album of the week and Iggy Azalea's The New Classic is the third best Rap or R&B effort on the chart.

Michael Jackson's Xscape Rises To #9

Michael Jackson's Xscape appears at #9 on the list. The album came up from #12 last week. The effort sold 24,861 units this week compared to 25,358 units last week. This was a 2 percent decrease in sales. This may not be the last of the posthumous Jackson albums, according to a recent Rolling Stone report. "Michael Jackson's estate managed to bring the late star back to life, sort of, with an unnerving onstage pseudo-hologram at May 18th's Billboard Music Awards – and that's just the beginning of its ambitious plans for his career, which could include as many as eight more albums culled from outtakes and repackaged material," the Rolling Stone report says.

#9. Michael Jackson - Xscape - 24,861 (309,133)

It's #9 on the US Billboard 200? That's so great! I hope a new single comes out soon to keep the support going.

Both the album and the single certainly have legs! It's longevity is great - the single continues to be played and the album continues to sell. Hopefully we can expect a new single soon.
