Xscape chart positions. (incl. singles)

So Happy. Thank you UK.

I am so gonna shame the US & Canada on Monday. We still have 4 days to step up. I think we can do it.

Disappointing huh? Hmmmmmok

Exactly. It lost 29M listeners last week and only dropped 2 spots because of the great sale. Had it had low sales, it would have been out of the top 40. Be grateful.

It will definitely bounce back next week, if airplay keeps improving. It's already back in the top 10 thanks to the video and media coverage.

Also "Michael" came out during the holidays.

I don`t know why you quote me twice. I did nothing say about bad album sales.

I only wonderd about the 2-place-dropping in single-charts because the song was 6 on hot digital. Now it`s clear for me.

And now you quote me again.

Way to go UK! This is a slam dunk #1 album in the world's second most important music market. I'm happy to see this. Now we need the US to step their game up. With the negative attacks from the Black Keys, let's show them they don't mess with MJ fans. Let's go out and buy this album as gifts for our family, friends, etc. If 5000 copies is all we need... we can spread the message via Facebook, Twitter, and get US fans on board. Let's do it!!

Agreed. Let's hope our US friends can match the UK!

If not though, I still have high hopes that this can sell well in the coming months, in the US.

The UK always support Michael's music, i am ecstatic that this new album is selling so well over here.. Michael is a genius and he continues to captivate audiences all over the world.. i feel honored to be in the UK right now and i sincerely hope that xscape stays at number one for a second week.. especially with tough competition coming from coldplay and there new album... Michael is the king, this only proves it even more.. his music, songwriting and heart is eternal. we LOVE you forever.

Just a little more info for Hot 100 Rules:

US Billboard Hot 100 (Since 2013) comes from 3 parts: sales (including physical single, and digital download, 35-45%); radio airplay(30-40%); streaming(20-30%), and the precise percentage can change from week to week.
The formula has never been released.

Streaming? What exactly that means?
Songs from this album were streaming everywhere and every media outlet, so does that count too?

The link isn`t working can you correct it.

It doesn't work for me either, error message:

That UK list is not final, right? It is until Sunday 23:59? Right?

Xscape will not stay at #1 in the 2nd week, but it matters not. It will still be;

"Michael Jackson - 10 UK number 1 Albums"

If he can stay top 3 the following week, that will be amazing enough for me.

Correct.

But they are very good sales up to Wednesday (#1 sold 30,000 in the whole of last week), and his lead is increasing day by day over the shit keys. :cheeky:

That is great. But we should all keep doing what we were doing until now. It is not over yet. Sunday we will celebrate. Shit Keys can still come close!

Buy it, gift it, request it, tweet it, promote it!

This has been the perfect celebration of Michael's genius... i'm so proud of him right now... 10 Number ONE Albums here in the UK... it is a testament to his legacy, and proves that even his unpublished outtakes hold the key of artistic masterclass.

Sunday at 7pm, check the official charts website...

I think we may both be wrong on this Zakk!

The album charts are often leaked during Sunday afternoon. So does that mean final sales are tallied on Saturday night at 11:59pm?

Can anyone confirm please?

Went to HMV London yesterday and they are continuing the heavy promotion. Poster in window, special MJ stand and playing his music and videos.

Has anyone seen any more TV ads since the one during Britain's got talent?

Quite a few!

I don't watch much tv on advert channels, but I see at least 2 per evening.

I've seen the xperia ad several times during high viewed shows on sky tv.. in particular the barclays premier league (english football) last game of the season....this album deserves all the compliments/success it gets.

Hi, can anyone explain the American chart? When do we next get to see it? In Britain we are given a mid-week chart and a chart show at Sunday tea time, I'm so confused, help, thanks.
