When I was in the 3rd grade. I had made these little homemade cards (out of colored construction paper) for some classmates for Valentine's day...stayed up all night making them and writing little poems inside like "violets are red...yada yada...but with my own twist. And then I wrote some other things. My teacher was very very strict and wanted to know what I was passing down to my friends. She opened one and read out loud to everybody and then accused me of plagiarizing. She didn't believe I wrote them myself and threatened to send me to the office for not admitting I copied them...threatened to tell my Mother I was a little cheater blah blah blah. I insisted I drew the pictures and came up with all of the poems on my own and wouldn't back down. She thought she would embarrass me by demanding I write a couple for her right there in the class...but I did it. She was so amused that she went next door to get another teacher she was best friends with and they watched me write a couple more. It was pretty cool. She never apologized to me but I think proving her wrong was enough for my tiny little ego. haha. After that she was less strict with me as she was with everybody else and I became one of her little classroom helpers.
When was the last time you bought a pair of shoes that fit fine in the store but once you got them home and tried to wear them somewhere they hurt your feet like crazy?
