What a lonely way to go the next track...didn't see this coming, an unleaked song never heard of..this made my day:D

So, this is a vocally-finished song being released on a reissue? I’m surprised!
Must be. I wonder if the vocals are from the mid 70's though. Not sure if this track was really seriously considered for Thriller. But exciting none the less.

They're not really sticking to things needing to have been considered for Thriller it seems.

I don’t think the actual recording era makes a difference, so long as it was at one point considered for Thriller (which for all we know it was, even if briefly). If we’re sticking strictly to recording dates, “Don’t Be Messin’ ‘Round” shouldn’t be on Bad 25 because it was originally recorded for Thriller.

I don't think anyone talked about it, but I'd really love to hear the alleged other track(s) from the session with Macca.

btw, I definitely want a 40th anniversary release of "Bad".

Imagine, Buffalo Bill, Chicago 1945, APOM 1985 mix, etc. 🤤
Make or Break is unfinished but a gem, supposedly. But don't want to go off topic.

According to Barnes only. It's possible the song's been further worked on without him.

Remember when Barnes stated (on facebook?) Buffalo Bill wasn't compleated where in fact MJ had intensively worked on it btw 1989/90 (overdubbs & symphonic intro iirc)?

I think it's better that they do it this way as well, as stuff recorded specifically for Thriller kinda limits what they can include.

I’m very happy foremost because it is a song written very early on in his career. We have almost no info or idea how developed he was as a songwriter pre Destiny so it is interesting. As far as I know only “blues away” is available from this time period. Considering Michael used to dig back to old songs for each album I am sure it was once considered for inclusion on both Off the wall and Thriller. The short snippet doesn’t sound like 1975/1976 so it must be a reworked version.

So in terms of how excited I am this is my top 3

1) the toy
2) what a lovely way to go
3) she’s trouble

1) Lovely Way to Go (I've never heard it. So this is obvious #1 for me)
2) Behind The Mask (Can't wait to hear MJ's demo version untouched)
3.) The Toy (Love the melody of this song. 1982 vocals will be nice)

The Toy is one I've been wanting to hear for ages so happy it's being included, and the new announcement is great of course.
