I just hope we will get 1-2 more unleaked tracks as well as officially released the following leaked ones:
Hot street, and
Niteline

Nightfall lover or rolling the dice would be a dream if we got more of those songs because they haven't leaked out

Guys, is slapstick the demo of Hot street? I just listened to both these demos back to back and I haven’t heard these in a long time but imo Slapstick is 10x better than Hot Street! Both vocally and production wise. Doesn’t anyone else feel like this?

I'd like them to include Slapstick purely because we already have Hot Street in HQ, but I think it's clearly unfinished and a demo and Hot Street is the finished version.

In what way is slapstick unfinished? It has a full vocal take, no mumbling words, Adlibs (more Adlibs than hot street, full bridge, finished production etc. The only thing is that it is LQ

You can just tell by listening to it. Everything on Hot Street is just infinitely better. Production, stronger vocal take, etc.

I disagree with this. I’m even hesitant to call slapstick a demo. I mean sure, theoretically it is demo of hot street because hot street evolved from Slapstick but to me it sounds much more like they just recorded a full blown out song with slapstick and then decided to change the theme of the song and re-record it with new lyrics. What’s even more interesting is that if you listen to the bridge of Hot street, MJ stops in mid sentence, he probably did that on purpose but it sounds a bit odd in my ears, but in slapstick he fully sings that sentence which makes much more sense in my ears. Just small stuff like this. Slapstick sound way more punchier and groovier than Hot Street

I must confess before I got on the forums, I thought Hot Street was the demo to Slapstick, not the other way round 😅

I can flip a coin on which I prefer, although Slapstick is funkier. Both weren't strong enough for selection in my opinion

So there's 6 songs left to reveal. Which do we think is next?
Now that they opened the pandoras box with "Got The Hots", we must expect "Carousel".
We also should expect "Hot Street" & "Niteline".

I hope they keep the demos to songs that ended up on Thriller. I see no benefit in Starlight.
The demo to PYT was the only interesting track of those, but that's almost a completely different song and already ended up on s. c. Disc 3 (digital only release).

I hope fore 2 more surprise (unheard or even unknown) tracks out of the six left.

But Starlight lyrically is completely different as well!

I think I agree though maybe starlight taking up a slot is a bit much. It seems like starlight and slapstick both were songs where the melody was first created and the lyrics were added later on because both are not very good lyrically

I have never heard Slapstick so I wouldn’t mind it being included.

I just can’t get past the lyrics in “Slapstick.” The same guy who wrote “Thriller” wrote THAT?
Lol, what does slapstick even mean in this context? I never figured that out. Are they talking about the object (club) slapstick? Is he saying that he want some slapstick? I don’t get it.

I think ‘starlight’ is lyrically in line with michael’s universal message. had it been completed it could have been an early ‘captain eo’. I just love michael’s background harmonies towards the closing 💜

There's a Captain EO song?

There's a Captain EO song?
not that I know of. I was referring to the overall lyrical theme of ‘starlight’ having a similar sci-fi universal concept as that movie (and featured songs) in general - even though it was created first.
