oh, this is very serious business, jokes are not allowed here, and @filmandmusic is a very serious guy, never jokes around.

PS: oops, looks like I broke my promise. My punishment is posting about 20 more pictures of Michael.

Yeah, the qoute saying he hopes it's going to be on a compilation doesn't mean its going to be on T40.

Because multiple people who went to the seminars stated that Steve Porcaro was working on the song as of recently and was negotiating with the Estate to release the song, but keyword "Probably" because nothing is certain until the tracklist is actually announced.

Has there ever been any word on Rolling The Dice? If the song made it to the cutting room floor it has to be completed somehow.

All that’s known (to my knowledge) is what MJ said in his 1993 deposition. It was “demoed” at Hayvenhurst, but who knows what state it’s in.

Michael Jackson implied that it is complete but they decided to never release it.

He implied that because he stated that they did not think that 'Rolling The Dice' was strong enough (hence its exclusion from the 'Thriller' album).

About this song, it has also been said that both Michael Jackson and Rod Temperton were eventually not satisfied with the final result of the song, so they decided to remove it from the final track list of the album.

Saying a song wasn’t strong enough isn’t the same as saying it’s finished. Every outtake that’s currently in the vault fits that criteria, regardless of their level of completion.

What's funny is the next song Michael is asked about is Hot Street, his reply was

"Yeah I like Hot Street, I love that one, but they (Quincy and Rod) didn't think it was good enough. I thought it was wonderful"

So we shouldn't be surprised if that's not only including but is a big part of Thriller 40
