PS: Sorry @Victor, you are right, we should get back to the topic on this thread.

oh, this is very serious business, jokes are not allowed here, and @filmandmusic is a very serious guy, never jokes around.

PS: oops, looks like I broke my promise. My punishment is posting about 20 more pictures of Michael.
PPS: I really have nothing to add to the actual discussion, I am just bored. I am going to go away from this thread now before @filmandmusic reports me to the boss!

oh calm down please! are jokes not allowed on here?
PS:Hiker i'm sorry for getting you into trouble
I was internally debating if I should add a smilie to make it clear I was having a laugh. I didn’t do it but it seems I should have done it 😛
In other words, I was joking too 🥳

I’m sure Victor is having a nervous breakdown though.

Probably not, it seems that we're only gonna get 2 new songs and one of them is gonna be the Behind The Mask demo (Because of Sony copyrighting) and the other is probably gonna be Chicago 1945 (As said by people who attended seminars), I don't count on getting more than those 2 as new and unheard songs.
how would people attending seminars know whats on thriller 40

Yeah, the qoute saying he hopes it's going to be on a compilation doesn't mean its going to be on T40.

Because multiple people who went to the seminars stated that Steve Porcaro was working on the song as of recently and was negotiating with the Estate to release the song, but keyword "Probably" because nothing is certain until the tracklist is actually announced.

We can officially cross “Stand Tall” off the long-discussed tracks. Damien Shields said he heard it, and it’s consists of a chorus and bridge sung by a session singer. So, that’s definitely not being included.
Has there ever been any word on Rolling The Dice? If the song made it to the cutting room floor it has to be completed somehow.

All that’s known (to my knowledge) is what MJ said in his 1993 deposition. It was “demoed” at Hayvenhurst, but who knows what state it’s in.

Michael Jackson implied that it is complete but they decided to never release it.

He didn’t imply that. He said it was a demo.
He implied that because he stated that they did not think that 'Rolling The Dice' was strong enough (hence its exclusion from the 'Thriller' album).

About this song, it has also been said that both Michael Jackson and Rod Temperton were eventually not satisfied with the final result of the song, so they decided to remove it from the final track list of the album.

You should work in the field of law.
You would drown in the court room by the time you make your first statement.

“Yes, ‘Rolling the Dice.’ That we did a demo for at Hayvenhurst but we never released it. We didn’t think it was strong enough.”
- Michael Jackson, 1993 deposition

Saying a song wasn’t strong enough isn’t the same as saying it’s finished. Every outtake that’s currently in the vault fits that criteria, regardless of their level of completion.

What's funny is the next song Michael is asked about is Hot Street, his reply was

"Yeah I like Hot Street, I love that one, but they (Quincy and Rod) didn't think it was good enough. I thought it was wonderful"

So we shouldn't be surprised if that's not only including but is a big part of Thriller 40

MJ was right, it's a banger. Probably one of the best leaks we've ever had imo
