This forum confuses me sometimes!!! I dont understand why people are having to defend Michael on a michael forum god if i wanted to have to defend michael there are alot off places i could go!! Did not think i would ave to do it hear! Jesus!!! We know Michael can sing we know michael can dance does it really matter if he does it live at least we get the chance to see him do it again!!

The lip-syncing vs. live singing debate has been done a lot on this board, as well as others. And that's why some people get upset. However, I don't see the harm in discussing it in here because everyone is wondering if he switched things up for this tour or not. The setlist is very similar to the HIStory tour and I'm sure many, myself included, are wondering if it was similar to that or if he revamped it at all and included more live vocals.

I don't see why people get their ruffles so easily around here.

I wonder if this film will beat Miley Cyrus' Concert released in Feb 2008. Here are a few stats from her movie which currently is the #1 grossing concert movie at the box office:

First Day Sales: $8.6 million

First Weekend Sales: $31 million

Total Gross Sales: $74 million


I believe Michael has the potential to beat these numbers for sure!

Seriously! I never thought I'd have to defend Michael Jackson on a Michael Jackson FAN FORUM.

And as for comparing him to Beyonce, um the likes of Beyonce, Justin, and Usher wouldn't even be where they are today if it wasn't for Michael Jackson.

HIStory was one of (if not 'the') biggest tour of all time. If you strain your voice every single night for months on end it will destroy your vocal chords, there's no way anyone could sing live for that amount of time. Michael was a genius, if you can't appreciate that you really shouldn't be on this board at all.

Anyway I don't like arguing, I'm not good at it and I hate doing it so end of conversation :)

MJ isn´t even in the Top Twenty of the Supertars who gave the most concerts ever or in a short time. ELvis gave in his last years when he was very ill over 150 Concerts each year!! Over 150 Concerts each year! And this is just one example I could name you 20 other artists who are for the most part of the year on tour. Elvis gave in one year more Concerts than Dangerous and History Tour combined. When it comes to Concert Tours MJ was rather lazy. So please get your facts right. It becomes ridiculous!

If you kept track of the posts made you would see that mkgenie has state that the MAJORITY of the songs were live.

He makes it the most closely guarded secret. But why?? If he has seen the film why can´t he answer?? He isn´t spoiling anything when he says ok 3 otu of 17 Song were mimend and the rest is live. Where ´s the problem??

It is simply a fact that ELvis gave 150 Concerts each year in the late 70s.
I think the problem with many fans is that they only know MJ and do not know much about music history.
If they did know music history they would know that when it comes to concert tours MJ was an artist who did not tour a lot. Many bands go on tour each year! Look at the Stones! How many concert tours?? In 2010 there will be another tour. I stopped counting!

Maybe he didnt sit there with a pen and paper and alayse the fuck out of it? How about that? Maybe he saw it and tried to enjoy it. I know if i see a movie ONCE i can hardly remember the quotes, lines, bits and pieces or even some scenes. Maybe he has not got an exact idea, hence why he said "majority" - which means more than 50%.

That means there was more live songs than not live songs. If there were 17 songs at LEAST 9 of them were live.

So there is a starting point if you cant wait until Oct 28. At least 9 songs were live.

But he was sitting there with a pen and paper. Otherwise he wouldn´t be able to post the exact tracklist and how long each performance is and on top of that in the right order. Yeah right!!

OK maybe you´re right. But believe me if I had the chance to see the film I would not have memorized everything but how could I forget which songs he was singing live?? This is the reason to see the film to hear him sing!
It´s impossible. He even wrote down the tracklist. So he must know what songs he was singing and if it was live or not. I don´t buy the amnesia theory.Maybe anothe fake insider?? Who knows?? There were a lot of fake insiders on MJ boards lately. Its very strange that he cannot answer the question. Man he could have said. "Oh man I don´t remember everything about live singing but I think only 3-5 songs were mimed etc" I don´t want to hear an exact answer. But to say "The Majority....lol it does not get any vaguely

LOL if you think about it is a joke. Hello!!! I´m a fan of a singer!! I don´t care about a Rabbi, tabloid trash and othe things concerning image etc. I only care for that man´s voice and beautiful aura-personality.Nothing more.
So you see the man´s voice is a very important part for me.The most important part! If MJ hadn´t this beautiful voice I wouldn´t buy the records. A singer can have the most beautiful personality but if the voice is crap I don´t listen!
